The owner obviously has a green thumb, there was not an inch of ground, benches, tables, and shelves that wasn't covered with her handiwork - flowers, ground cover, vegetables, vines - it's all there. There was even a number of areas where she had free plants that she couldn't see throwing away or composting if someone could put them to good use. We got there during one of her regular plant sales so ended up spending ~40% of what we'd have spent at the big nursery. Great value, great selection, awesome service - we're glad we dropped by and will be back again.

I bought a Meyer lemon tree from MGC about 10 years ago (previous owner) and it did really well bearing fruit each year. I was anticipating citrus trees on sale that maybe had seen their day but no was I pleasantly surprised. The citrus trees were all in healthy condition and all of them were bearing fruit. I quickly bought one. The staff is very nice and will help you with your purchase to your car. The Center has healthy plants, flowers, trees, shrubs and garden products. They also have a gift store next door so if you need a gift for yourself, hostess gift or greeting cards they have a good selection.

For example, they will re-pot your plant for free (if you purchase plant and pot from them). And they offer container design to help your plant placements benefit the most from their environment. These are amazing perks for a novice gardener like me! They also offer delivery which is great for getting tall plants or larger/heavier orders home, and have master gardener clinics on Saturdays from spring through summer. He was friendly, super helpful and willing to answer all of the bamboo novice questions we had about it. Clearly the man is passionate about bamboo and it shows. We ended up getting 7 large Dulcis plants to use as a screen in our backyard and couldn't be happier. George also offers services to deliver the bamboo and install it with the barriers needed for the roaming variety. We'll definitely be returning to get more bamboo in the future!

To top it off, the plates have deep grooves that make it impossible to eat--ketchup and egg yolks get stuck in the grooves. I genuinely worried about the material's safety. If you want to help people, start by serving fresh, safe food. I wouldn't be surprised if that salad was a health hazard. I just wasted over $30 for a very low quality food. Surprisingly staff not very knowledgeable or friendly about gardening and coffee shop expensive…read moremistake. Came in with my mom to get some help with spring plants and gardening tools. Went to the help desk, asked about specific plants. The staff person just pointed and said, "go in there" to the greenhouse. Went there, was told, we just sell houseplants in here, go outside through the automatic doors". Went outside, no one, not one person out there. We walked around for a bit, still no one. Gave up and decided we could find help online and at another nursery. The coffee shop. Great idea, poorly managed. Saw some senior group had taken all but two tables and a couple of chairs for their get together. I found two chairs against the wall for my mom and I, but no tables. Made our order, sandwich and egg bites- they are brought in prepackaged from an outside company. I had to walk back and forth from my chair to the coffee counter to check on our drinks and warmed up sandwiches. After 20 minutes, have one drink and cold sandwiches. Had to go back since they forgot a drink. We ate a few bites of our sandwiches- threw away the rest. No more interest in getting the order right. Also saw one of the staff people counting out cash onto the counter next to the coffee machine. Cash and coin I believe should not be placed on counter space next to food or drink prep?
