It was an okay experience. Pricing to enter was okay, not too high thankfully. My kids really enjoyed and loved it especially since they're familiar with the Flintstones. I really wish they kept up with repairs and the park. It has so much potential to be really good! But sad for what it is. The animals there also didn't seem excited to be there. Not much to say though. It's a quick experience, 20-30 minutes tops. There's a gift shop in the front with random items and a penny collection machine. Bathrooms were clean at least! There's plenty of parking in the area as well. It's a good stop before or after you visit the Grand Canyon. read more

The people complaining about the price are out of their minds. This place was so cute! It was 8$ per adult and you go to go see the flimsy ones bed rock city, go see their houses, grocery stores, etc. they even have a dinosaur that's a slide!!! Along with all the photo ops there's a playground for the kiddos and a bike race trac when you can ride bikes through a volcano. They have different types of birds on property as well and if you go at the right time of day they bring some of the birds out and show them off. We got to watch one of the birds try to catch a dead quail on a string and the trainer flung it around and watch as the bird would dive bomb to the great. After the bird caught it he let us get up close to the bird and learn more about it. It's a fun stop on the way to the Grand Canyon that ALL people would love! read more

This place is awesome! We stayed for a night in our cross country trip in our camper. Staff was super friendly and did a falcon show just for us! They have a raven named Gracie that will take a dollar and put it in her piggy bank then eat out of your hand. The flinestone village is old but the new owners will be updating I'm sure and we all still REALLY enjoyed it. It was like a blast to the past. The store has everything you need and more.... This place is a must stop if you want an old school roadside attraction experience... and for the person writing about the "poor birds", the owner is a master falconer. We stopped by after visiting the Grand Canyon and weren't disappointed. If you don't want to pay to go inside, There's a few photo ops in the parking lot. The kids loved the few flintstone props so much we went inside. On the website, it said the raptor demo were at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. We got there at 11:20am and the owner said that he wouldn't mind doing a hawk show in 10minutes. YAY! It's $8/person. We probably spent a good 1 1/2hr there going through all the Bedrock city houses, got to see Hawkeye the hawk, also Stinky the Owl. The owner says they are adding an amphitheater. I'd definitely recommend this as a stop when you're either leaving or going to Grand Canyon read more

We stayed here after our national forest reservation was cancelled due to the closure. Although it's not like camping in the forest we had a great time there. Just a few campsites have shade/trees so call and ask which ones those are before booking. Tables are nice. Most importantly staff is super nice. We went to Bedrock City four or so times. The kids had a blast and so did we as adults remembering Flintstones. We were there a few days and had some camping stuff break and ordered replacements. They were more than happy to accept the deliveries while we were away which was awesome. Saw two bird shows - a falcon and a hawk. Both were just really great and interesting. They had a lot of great information about the birds. They are doing a lot of upgrading after taking over this place a few years ago. Only suggestion is to add a recycling area! Thanks! read more

What an enjoyably offbeat place to visit. Thought we'd pop in for only 20 minutes or so, ended up staying close to 3 hours! Even though our kids did not know the Flintstones, they quickly caught on to the concept of sliding down a Brontosaurus tail and getting "locked up" in a prehistoric jail. The grounds were way more expansive than suggested from the outside, and all the buildings and play equipment had charming details to keep both adults and children entertained. The owl demonstration was the cherry on top; the birds appeared well cared for and the intimate presentation was engaging and educational. Tickets very reasonably priced and a very good value- worth visiting. Our visit allowed us to have a raptor perch on our protected, gloved hand- and an unplanned perch on my wifes hat. The demonstrations of the hawk? Falcon hunting and taking game (inanimate) was very interesting and striking in the pre-attack maneuvers to taking of the lure. The birds are much smaller up close than I imagined and, while obviously supreme predators, are not at all threatening. They have a very intense and direct gaze. read more

Loved!! New ownership for Bedrock City. Our family had a great time. Stayed one night at the campground and it's the biggest playground for kids and adults. Plus the bird shows. They started around 6 (based on weather) and we stuck around until almost 8. Plus there is a restaurant/bar you can walk across too. The gift shop is also great. It's been remodeled and offers a lot for campers and visitors. The staff was great and you can tell they are putting a lot of $$ and energy into it. Highly recommend the stop. read more

I would be lying if I didn't tell you I've been DYING to come to this place ever since I read about Bedrock City (Previous Name and ownership) a decade ago. I love quirky and random and this was it. I was so excited to see when driving to the Grand Canyon that it had reopened as Raptor Ranch, keeping the Flintstones memorabilia, but turning it into a wildlife sanctuary's well as rv park and campground. For a $5 entry per person you can walk around the old buildings, rapids down the dinosaur and even take pictures in the pedal cars. The highlight however came when the owners patiently answered all my sons questions about the Falcons and not only offered to let him hold one, taught him so many things about them while he did. The family was so patient with my son and made him feel so special. When we were leaving they also gave him a book on falcons to read on our drive. He is only 10 and is now so excited to learn even more. They have a Facebook and Instagram page as well if you'd like to follow them on their journey to educate and gradually remodel a have a grand opening of the full park. It may not look like much as you're speeding by, but so worth checking out and supporting . Again, from the bottom of my heart thank you for making my sons day and teaching him so much! read more

This place was an absolute blast, so many things to see and all of the employees have so much information on the birds! They were also very nice answering all the curious questions we had! They had a bird show which was amazing, pictures with their famous owl stinky, beautiful rocks for sale, and the classic flinstones sights up still. In the show they said they're in the midst of building/expanding and I can't wait to see what the new owners do with the space even more than they already have. Awesome old flinstones bedrock city at raptor ranch. The city is really cool although it is falling apart some which is to be expected and part of the fun. 8 dollars to get inside, with lots of photo ops and nostalgia feelings. There are 4 hawks inside of an enclosure that are also tethered to their stands, along with a big owl in an enclosure all by himself. They are beautiful but I can't help but feel sorry for the poor things just being tied up all alone out there. read more

It was $5.00 to get in. There was a raptor demonstration. It was pretty busy that day I think. I've never been there before but since this place doesn't seem to have a lot to offer I think ten cars or so seemed like a lot. The place seems a bit run down. I'd like to see some money invested to power wash the buildings (the copyrighted characters are gone.) Maybe some new bright paint...freshen it up a bit. Also the investment of a sidewalk to walk through "Bedrock city" would be nice. That stone path is a killer! Those little stones get in your shoes and it would just be nicer to have something flat to walk on. I watched the flint stones when I was little so this took me back to my childhood Saturday mornings. I don't think kids now would be very interested in it. Some investments and updates will be needed in order to keep this a viable tourist attraction. I got some great photos but you can see how dingy everything looks. read more

We stayed here because most of the campgrounds closer to the Grand Canyon were either full or had terrible reviews. Raptor Ranch was close enough but still a good 25 mins away, FYI. The campground itself is nothing special and has exactly what you need to camp. We had a site with water and electric hookups and had no problems with either. Didn't seem to be a very full campground so had no trouble or lines when needing to dump on our way out. Now for the Raptor Ranch part. There is a Flinstones area in the back that is free for those staying at the campground. We checked it out simply because it didn't cost us anything. After going in, taking 10 mins to walk around I don't see how anyone would actually pay to see this. To say it's rundown is an understatement. It's basically just a field with makeshift houses that look like the Flinstones. Cool, sure. But it's falling apart and not kept up at all. Looked like renovations were in process but there is a long way to go. read more

Really great stop on the way to the Grand Canyon! Visited the beautiful raptors on the property and the live raptor show was really fun. Loved the nostalgic Flintstones town of Bedrock. It looks like they're starting to renovate the Flintstones town a bit, it's looking better than when I last visited 10 years ago. I hope they restore it more, it's such a fun piece of campy cartoon history. Absolutely worth the $8 admission fee, I think they should bump it to $9, doubtful anyone would notice the slight difference in price but the difference in revenue would probably be noticeable. Pizza was decent, better than the food we had inside the park. They also have a well priced RV park attached with showers and laundry. read more

The Flintstones Park is super interesting and strange. I love old road side attraction stuff and I'm really glad this has been kept! The only bummer is the birds - they were tied to the ground with foot long leashes. These birds have to be such smart and athletic creatures and I can't imagine how sad it must be for them to be kept still all day. Why not let them move around freely in a large cage? Or don't have them at all if that's not an option? read more

The "park" is rundown and in disrepair. Many of the man made structures were being held together with masking tape. The poor birds were stuck in their cages with no fans blowing in the hot temps. The birds looked to be tethered to their stands. One of them had poop on the walls and inches deep on it cage floor. I would not recommend paying $8 to enter it. I'd snap a photo in the parking lot if I felt that nostalgic. But not worth going into. read more

I came here not expecting much, and I was pleasantly surprised. Anyone who grew up with the flint stones needs to come here. Displays were in pretty decent condition, and my kids(and me!) had a blast checking them out. They also loved feeding the goats. Only leaving 1 star because I have to.. otherwise it would be less than zero. The birds were depressed. Some were tethered down. They were in direct sun & held in tiny boxes, unable to fly. Pure captivity. I went to AZ for a family reunion with my husband and 5 children. On the way back home, we stopped to get out of the car in Williams, AZ at the Bedrock City/ Raptor Ranch. My six year old really wanted to go in and see the birds and the flinstone items so only him and I went in, while the others stayed in the gift shop, but mostly outside due to the clerk on the phone the entire time gossiping with someone on the other line. It was 9:19 AM (Arizona - MST), and already approx 85 degrees outside. The animals were calling out, some making whimpering sounds. They were tethered down in tiny cages, 2 of the birds had extremely dirty water and all of the other birds had none. This was the most awful inhumane place! DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE!!! There is a campground near by that is owned by the same people I'm not sure if the customers of the campground use the same restrooms (which are very close, directly across from the bird cages). As my son and I were walking away, someone from the campground/ or an employee (which would be far worse) drove over to the restrooms and vroomed their engine over and over so loud scaring the birds. It is an unlivable condition for the birds, absolutely inhumane and it is beyond heartbreaking!! Again, zero stars!! Don't support!!! read more

I'm not sure what they're planing to do with this place, but it absolutely broke my heart to see those beautiful birds in a small cage, not only caged but they also had a ONE FOOT chain attached to their legs!!!! The poor birds couldn't even walk inside of the cage. All they could do was maybe drink the NASTY water they had next to them! Supposedly they take them out for a fly once a day, and to me that's just HORRIBLE!!! When I mentioned these awful conditions to the man in charge, he said that they don't live in the cage, he said that they live at his barn and that he only brings them the days that they can fly. I still think this is how they're chained at "the barn". Really sad to see such beautiful creatures in caged captivity. I am NEVER visiting this place again!!! I can't even believe I paid money to contribute to this animal abuse!!! If only I knew...! What you guys do is CRUEL and you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Totally Sickening!!! read more

This place is super clean and has a lot of snacks and a grill . We went last year when they first bought it and they have improved so much !! They now have a place out front where you can cut open your own geodes ( rocks ) super friendly people and it was a lot of fun ! I got some beautiful rocks and will be back next year !!! We drove by this place on the way to the Grand Canyon and immediately said "oh we have to stay there tonight" the Flintstones welcome sign was almost as welcoming as the owner (didn't catch his name) who saw us pull up after hours and left his house to come get us checked in at 8 pm. He set a time, convenient for us, to take the birds out. I was able to hold a falcon and watch one fly! Troy was also patient and let some mentally challenged kids engage. Troy has begun a wonderful endeavor with his birds here below the Grand Canyon. If you're camping on the property or touring what used to be Bedrock City and fortunate to be present when he flies one of his birds (several times daily), it is a neat experience. Soon he will offer falconer classes and we were lucky enough to get just a taste of that recently. Troy is a great guy who will explain all kinds of things, answer your questions and show you his birds which is really interesting. His wife is equally charming and helps to run the beautiful gift shop with all kinds of neat things to do with birds, rocks, souvenirs, and Native American inspired gifts. If you're in the area or like falcons, hawks, owls or ravens do yourself a favor and make a trip here. Soon they'll have a cafe and the classes up and running. We stayed at the The Raptor Ranch and Bedrock City (yes, the Flintstones!) RV park for three nights while we visited the Grand Canyon. It was a fantastic "base-camp" for us while we explored in detail the South and East Rims of the Canyon. It was the perfect spot for us. The park is small, so service is personalized. Troy and his wife really want folks to be happy and enjoy their stay. This is particularly true given they had only recently purchased the park. While the Bedrock City is perfect for kids, a highlight for us was the Birds of Prey demonstration. The Raptor Ranch is a wildlife education facility, a bird of prey breeding project, and home of the Northern Arizona Raptor Foundation. Troy is a master at Falconry, having practiced for 30+ years! He breeds and raises them from chicks. He also gives you a close up experience with the birds, letting them fly free and then retrieving them, even letting you hold them at a perch on your hand. It was an amazing and unexpected experience, which we were focusing on the Grand Canyon visit. Interestingly, Troy has a goal of have a bird fly across the Canyon at some point. In any case, we highly recommend The Raptor Ranch for you and your family. Really a great place! read more

We came by RV looking for a hook-up for the night, and when I checked in to get a spot, there was a basket of baby aplomado falcons that were so fluffy and cute!! My son loves birds and falcons, and the RV hookup for the night was cheaper than the KOA up the street, so I snatched it up. After settling in, my kids got to pet and hold the falcon chicks. The man and woman running it were so kind. Because we had paid for the RV spot, they let us in to Bedrock and to the bird show for free. We offered to pay to enter (it was cheap admission!) to support the birds and mission and they refused, saying it was covered in the RV spot for the night. The bird show itself was really great, a huge Andean condor, an eagle and other birds flying and perching for the show. Our kids loved it and they let them hold a peregrine falcon for a picture. The birds were all our kids talked about after the trip (apparently better than the Grand Canyon and other places we visited), and it was FREE with the RV hookup, which itself was very reasonably priced. TOTALLY recommend, especially with kids. It's cheap and memorable, and the owners very nice and it's right on the way to the Grand Canyon. This is was a fantastic place to visit!!! The whole staff were welcoming, kind, and willing to make the most of your experience!!! We were on a tight schedule with a family with young boys who needed to travel back home. They arranged for us to meet the falcons prior to the flight demonstration!! The owner was knowledgeable, patient and shared his deep love and passion about the falcons! He let each of us hold the falcon (incredible experience) and made a way for the 3 year old, who wanted to hold the biggest falcon, by having him put his arm in the glove with his mom to hold the falcon (Cookies and Cream was gorgeous )!!! The joy for both the boys was a treasure!! We all loved the flight demonstrations and seeing how the hawk hunts, was a gift to see, as well as experiencing the hawk fly directly over our heads! The owner shared his vision of expansion for the park and you can see their heart for others to experience the love they have for raptors!! If you have never seen an Eagle Owl, you will be amazed at her size and beauty!! The Flintstones area was so playful to walk around and remember an old joy from the past for the adults and a new adventure for the kids, and oh how they loved the slide!!!
