Dogs hanging out in front of the cabin

We came here over the summer for a family trip and decided that we liked it so much we came back for a relaxing getaway. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The campgrounds are clean. We rented a small rustic cabin both times. It was clean when we arrived and I love that it has a full size bed and bunk bed. I also appreciate that they provide a small fan and space heater in the cabins. I honestly didn't mind having to walk to the bathroom/shower. Felt like summer camp. lol. And they were always clean. They have a cute little dog park, pool/hot tub and playgrounds too. I think the only drawback is that it is right off the road so there is constant car sounds. But the plus is that it is right next to a Chevron. Overall, I think the rates, friendly service, and cleanliness of this place make it a five-star stay in my book.

The shower floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in months!

We stayed two nights and the bathrooms were never cleaned. The cleanest one had no working lock on the door, so my husband had to stand outside to make sure no one came in. There were at least 5 workers there all the time, but never seemed to be doing anything. One creepy guy (employee) came into the pool area and walked the entire pool then dipped his sweaty head and rag into the pool to cool off.

First of all we booked a reservation by phone my wife did then we got here at the campsite they did not have our name but yet we had a receipt emailed to her really bad management and or bad front desk people because we ended up getting A site the way back of the camp Grounds away from everything so everybody else got sites before us because they got their reservations and second of all the cable tv is out for the price you pay 90 bucks a night and a gravel pit deafly not worth it Wi-Fi signal is very weak and it goes off and on all night long . one of the worst koa I ever been to I will not return to this one ever again.

This is the nicest KOA I've been too. The bathrooms were nice, private, and very clean!! We stayed in a cabin and had zero issues. There was plenty of space between the neighboring party and a picnic table, fire out, grill, and parking space. There was WiFi at the main office and a very convenient gas station and snack bar at the entrance. I love KOA, and I loved this site!!

I wanted to write a review because of how awesome our experience was. We were so scared because of the negative reviews but this place was so awesome. Very family friendly and super clean. The pool was very clean and the staff were so so friendly!! My son was crying and one of the staff gave him a little snake toy :) the train ride is free! The playgrounds were clean and my kids enjoyed them. They had a projector play Stuart little Saturday night for the kids which they loved. The showers had hot water and were clean. Bathrooms were clean. They have affordable campfire wood. The Wi-Fi was NOT spotty. I didn't have a single issue with it. They take security seriously! There was an incident one night at midnight where I was waiting outside the bathroom for my daughter and a man jumped out of the dark yelled at me and scared me I called the security number and they came right away and even followed up with me the next day. They exceeded all of our exceptions with how friendly they were and how clean everything was. Thank you! !

Honestly the best spot we could of asked for - a true cabin! With ceiling fan and a space heater. The bathrooms had a heater - so it was a cozy shower or bathroom break! Well lite facilities! Loved our experience! Will return here for sure! This cabin is a luxury because I'm accustomed to overlanding and car camping - so a warm cabin and hot shower with lights is amazing! Will add KOA to any multi night stays anywhere across the country!

We had stayed before at this location in the smaller cabins. But if you can get a deluxe cabin go for it. Room for 6, the cabin comes with everything you need, the location is quiet and it looks like the campground is getting some work done on it. I'd say the only bad part about the cabin was there are a million light switches, kind of confusing and the fridge froze our food. We stayed in deluxe cabin 2

It's about an hour south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, about an hour or so north of Sedona, and less than an hour west of Flagstaff. So it is nicely placed to do excursions. Also, since it's virtually impossible to get a campsite at the Grand Canyon, this RV park works out pretty well for us. Aside from the convenience of accessing other areas, the town of Williams itself is very charming. We always find there's plenty to do. It's less than a five minute drive from the RV site to the center of town where they have plenty of restaurants and gift shops to check out, a nice wine shop, and a couple of breweries. The town of Williams is part of the Route 66 Highway, and the town has a 50s/60s vibe to it, almost like a scene out of American Graffiti. One of our favorite things to do when we're here is go to Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe where you can get a smoked brisket sandwich, burger, and the like, as well as drinks from a full bar, as you listen to live music from talented local musician John Carpino, as he sings and plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, and percussion doing a variety of classic rock, country, and audience favorites. One of the things we really love about this park is they have a dog washing station. They also have a laundry mat. There is a Spa area that we've used in the past, but it was out of service this time around. Not sure why. Maybe it was a casualty of COVID. There is a train track terminal in the town of Williams, so there are occasional trains that go by the park taking passengers up to the Grand Canyon. We've never done the train ride, but that sounds like something fun to do. The point is, you'll hear some train noise sometimes in the middle of the night. Still not enough to knock my review below 5 stars. The WIFI is OK. We were actually able to stream some of our shows, but oftentimes, we would loose the signal. Again, still not enough to knock my review below 5 stars.

We originally…read morestopped because there's a Shell gas station right next door and we needed gas, but once we looked over and saw the restaurant, we checked Yelp, saw the great reviews and photos, and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! After several days of driving, hiking, and kayaking, it was really nice to finally sit down and enjoy a relaxing dinner. There's also a Native shop attached to the restaurant, which was fun to browse through before eating. The restaurant itself is toward the back, and the restrooms are conveniently located nearby, so I was able to freshen up and change before dinner after being outdoors all day. I ordered the deluxe cheeseburger combo, which totally hit the spot, while my friend got the beef stew with Native fry bread. I'll admit, I was a little jealous when I saw her dish because it looked so warm and comforting after the chilly weather and all the kayaking and hiking we had done earlier that day! Thankfully she let me try the fry bread, and it was delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was great, and it ended up being the perfect way to wrap up our Arizona trip. Definitely recommend stopping here to fill up on gas and grab a good sit-down meal while passing through!

I walked around the village, checking out the art shop and the hotels (and grabbing brunch at El Tovar Hotel). The Geology Museum has more information about the formation of the area, as well as a small gift shop. I made it a bit down Bright Angel Trail, marveling at the views. I also did the 25 mile scenic drive towards the east on Desert View Drive - definitely stop at some pull outs since the views are different as you go along the rim. Things I have to do in the future: -Take the shuttle to Hermit's rest (be sure to sit on the right side since you get all the views that way) since it was wayyy too crowded when I looked at the bus stop -Get a ticket to climb up Desert View's tower. I wish there was more information about the Indigenous peoples and their cultures who lived in this area. There wasn't a lot of information provided, but a lot about the architect who designed a lot of the buildings. It seemed unbalanced. Also, I wish that Desert View went into more history of the building - apparently it was controversial when it was built. I actually have to laugh at the 1 star reviews. I think those reviewers would have been satisfied looking at a photo of the Grand Canyon instead of visiting the real thing!

I suggest going a bit early as the parking fills up. The visitor center, gift shop, restrooms, and shuttle buses are all convenient located there. We prepared our itinerary beforehand, since we were only there for the day. Make sure to check out the various shuttle schedules and stops. We decided to do the South Rim Trail= shuttle to Powell point, hiked 3.5 miles along rim to Monument Creek Vista, then picked up shuttle to Hermit's Rest - this is the end of the road on the south side. From here, the shuttle ride back to visitors center is approximately 30-40 minutes. We stopped at the General Store for a bite to eat and souvenirs. While eating lunch at a table outdoors, a sweet moose made a visit to some neighboring tables : D We made it back to the visitors center and did some more souvenir shopping. The hike along the South Rim was gorgeous! Almost unreal, like a postcard. Most areas do not have any railing , so hike at your own risk. We came across some deer and wildlife. But , we took lots of pics and the pics do not do it justice. The scenery was unbelievable. You'll also be able to view the Colorado River from above. Bring sunscreen, water, snacks, lunch if you can and have fun!
