We were driving to Colorado and found Cameron Trading Post on Yelp. We decided to pop in for lunch. There is a lot to do in this little center including the art shop, hotel, post office, gift shop and restaurant. From the moment we walked in to the gift shop, we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Everyone said hello and welcome. We walked through to the restaurant and were sat immediately. Our server was Brenda and she was so pleasant and attentive! I recommend asking to sit in her section if you decide to dine. We ordered the Navajo taco and Green chili soup which came with a piece of fry bread. All three were good but needed a little more seasoning. I added salt and it was very good. I would recommend sharing the Navajo taco. It was huge and I felt bad not finishing it! The soup was the perfect size. After lunch we walked through the gift shop. Endless isles of beautiful Navajo rugs, baskets, Kachinas, jewelry, clothing, hats, trinkets and art. You could spend hours exploring the gift shop. I definitely recommend stopping here if looking for a day trip from the Phoenix area or passing through.

Definitely an interesting place to stop by A huge gift shop with lots to offer. Which I think alone is worth a stop They had quite a lot on the menu. I went for the Navajo taco. It was okay. Lacked flavor for me and could have been warmer upon arrival. The fry bread was delicious tho. My bf got the fry burger and he really enjoyed that, it was pretty tasty. Coming from New Mexico I got their sopapilla. It was pretty good but not the same as NM. Prices are very good for the size of the meal. There was a line when we arrived but it moved very quickly. Lots of seating, and looks like there might be some good views by the windows. Restrooms are very clean. Service was average. Felt a bit slow for food. The servers weren't exactly warm but when addressed when I mentioned something was forgotten they were very kind and patient. Would I stop again? Hmmm maybe? Would I recommend you go? Hmm, def for the store to get a souvenir but perhaps you wouldn't miss too much on the food

Stopped by here on our way to Sedona and found ourselves enjoying lunch at the restaurant inside of this trading post. The navajo taco and beef stew were delicious. Food service was great. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Food here are affordable. The decorations are beautiful. The place overall is clean. Restrooms for customers are clean and well maintained. There are plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to stop for a great meal. We had to try some Fry Bread, it was excellent, Avacado Toast was great! Ambiance is SUPER. CS left a little to be desired, we asked for a table by the windows with a view, we were denied even thou they were all empty?? Our Server was excellent, and very attentive. Service is phenomenal.

We passed by on our way to the Grand Canyon. I went through the gift shop first and then the restaurant. I had the Navajo taco and it was huge. I wouldn't recommend for one person because of the size. I didn't try it, but people say the bison burger is a good choice. I also had a prickly pear lemonade which was tasty and refreshing. Our server was nice, it just took a while to get our food. The place seemed very busy.

Fun stuff in the main trading post (some authentic, some not so much), and super fascinating history to be learned in the more exclusive store adjacent. Originally native art, ceremonial outfits, stunning jewelry - a lot waaaaay beyond my price point but the window shopping was excellent. The best part? The gardens. The landscaping and grounds are an oasis that I could have stayed in all day!!!

I went here on a tour from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. We were able to get some great local artwork and souvenirs for family and friends. We ended with lunch at their restaurant and so glad we did. The portions are huge! We had the fried bread which was fluffy and delish. I could only eat half of it. We left full and satisfied.

    Indian tacos- YUM!!!

Stopped here after a day trip to the GC, arrived hungry, left happy! Cameron Trading Post is a massive tourist center located within the Navajo nation. This is a great spot to purchase indigenous art, textiles, and memorabilia. The lay out is similar to a lot of the SW themed stores you find along I10/I40 and Rt 66, but the vibe is more authentic. I highly recommend popping into the gallery thats adjacent to the primary store and restaurant, there are some incredible historic and art exhibits in it. As for the restaurant, we came for the Indian tacos and they did not disappoint! Huge piece of Indian fry bread is topped with housemade chili and toppings including delicious green chiles. It's freezing cold in there thanks to piping AC- appreciated on a hot summers day but grab your sweater before going in if you're thin blooded like me. Don't sleep on the Indian tacos! They may be targeting tourists with them, but lemme tell you, that target was spot on in my case. Yum! Service was wonderful, view out the large windows was beautiful, don't expect fancy- this is just good, filling food at a very decent price. This is absolutely worth the stop.

Everything you'd want in a "Trading Post"!!! Food, gas, souvenirs, snacks, etc. plenty of parking and friendly staff. We had a very nice breakfast. Waitstaff was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Good food and beautiful view out the wall of windows!! The gift shop had something for everyone. I'd think I was done and then see something perfect for someone else! The scorpion lollipops were just the cherry on top as a gag gift - but the kids literally ate them up!!! If you're there, you need to stop and see for yourself!

Found the Cameron Trading Post on my way to Tuba City. I told my wife about it, so we found their website. We decided to stay there on my work visits in Tuba City. We love this place. Service is great and employees are friendly and helpful. My wife is always asking me when do I have to go back to Tuba City so we can stay there.

Great service, beautiful restaurant. The food was fresh and hot. Tried a cup of the beef stew, it was amazing. Split a Navajo fry bread taco, good thing we did. It was enormous and delicious. Will definitely make this a regular stop on the way to and from Moab in the future.

The restaurant has nice interior. Food is fancy for this area but meats are often more cooked than ordered. Merchandise in the main building is higher in quality than many touristy spots. The really fine artisan pieces are in the smaller studio building across the parking lot from the main post. Lodging including last minute booking during high season is usually more available here than the nearest alternatives in Tuba City.

Holiday Inn is a tried and true brand for me and always lives up to expectations. This is a GREAT hotel choice for those visiting the Grand Canyon! Location is super convenient, less than 20 minutes from the Park but more affordable than staying inside the park itself if you want a hotel. The city doesn't have a ton to offer, but there are some food options nearby. PRIOR REVIEW STILL STANDS: I am a loyal fan of Holiday Inn, and am always happy with my experience at Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The rooms are fairly standard and no-fills, but they are always clean, spacious and meet my needs for a hotel room. I also enjoy the small continental breakfasts as they make mornings easier. This particular location was no exception. I am happy with my stay here and would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. It's also really conveniently located, just 10-15 minutes outside of the park, but far enough away to give some flexibility with food and hotel options. Internet was alright, pretty "meh" quality, but it worked. This particular location was honestly super spacious. We ended up in the adults only wing, and our room was huge. We had a separate seating area with a TV, desk and couch that could pull out to become a bed. There was also a small little kitchen nook with a microwave, fridge, sink and coffeemaker. I don't have children so the extra space doesn't really matter much to me, however, if I did this would have been a really nice place to stay. Breakfast: Breakfast was the standard holiday inn express fare. It had pancakes, eggs, pastries, cereals, some fruits, yogurt, and either bacon or sausage. Seating was really limited, but you can always take your food back to your room. Parking: Parking seemed plentiful and was pretty close to the hotel. Parking is free.

But we paid for a King bed at Yavapai; we got two queens at the Holiday Inn. When our room was cleaned they took our towels and did not leave any new ones. The coffee maker spilled water all over the counter top. The second night we went to the restaurant and had to wait 35 minutes to be seated while looking at a half empty restaurant. The noise level was high, due to being able to hear everyone's door down the hall opening and closing. I would not stay there again!

Location aside, the "hiker's stew" is genuinely an excellent stew. Good quality big chunks of beef and a really savory broth that lets you know just how long it was cooked. Some vegetables (corn) are likely canned, but that was both a minor issue and to be expected given the location. Overall it's genuinely very tasty. Salad was fresh but unremarkable. This week, the canyon was bursting with color from all the flowers and vegetation growing after the heavy snow season. This was truly a special experience! The trail to Ribbon Falls/North Rim was closed at one of the bridges and the creek running too high to attempt a safe crossing, so we enjoyed a rest day and cooled off on the banks of the stunning Colorado River. We took pictures of the current ranch as big changes are underway with a new water system getting installed, which will impact access to the ranch for a while. Special mention to the staff, particularly Zach, who went above and beyond to show us hospitality. Also, best of luck to new hire Tyler as he settles into his new role at the ranch! The ranch is currently short-handed, and some of the staff are really feeling the stress, which is starting to show in their interactions with guests. Remember to be patient and kind. The bottom of the Grand Canyon can't be an easy place to live and work.

It's a perfect spot if you're visiting nearby areas like the Grand Canyon National Park or Sedona. There's always something going on here. They also have a food truck (I heard great things, just didn't get to try it), a bar, and a dining dome where you can relax and eat. During the day, they offer things like yoga and stargazing experiences. There are also fun extras like a giant chess set and little activity areas, which makes it great for groups or families. Special shoutout to the staff--Williams was incredibly helpful when we had an issue with our dome code and made sure we were taken care of right away. And the bartender (I believe his name was Xavier) was awesome--he even gave me a complimentary birthday drink, which made my stay extra special. They also make things super convenient with golf cart rides and help with luggage during check-in. Only minor notes: the mini fridge is very small (more of a true mini than a dorm fridge), and our kettle didn't work--but that's on us for forgetting to mention it during the stay. Overall, such a cute, unique, and memorable place to stay. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
