We're camping at Flagstaff, Arizona for the first time! My hubby booked this place a few weeks ago for Father's Day. It's got tons of shade 'cause of all the pine trees. The campsites aren't paved, and they're kinda cramped. I don't feel like there's much privacy since the sites are so close together. But they have a cool store and coffee shop, which I think is also a bar. They have sites with full hookups. And I think they do long-term stays too.

Size of camping space.

Campground was clean and well kept, price was reasonable. Only complaint is how close the spots are. Our neighbor extended his slide out and it was practically in our barbecue.

The one spot with a road on both sides and a pole instead of a tree in the middle of a forest

They had a lot of construction going on so it was visually ugly. Less than 5% full and with all of the trees here, they put me with a telephone pole in between 2 roads. Terrible 1st impression for a mom of 2 attending NAU and scoping out sites for my future trips. I can send a picture. I also appreciate the express check in, but I saw our spoke to no one the whole time. With a motor home and being handicap I wasn't going to walk back up to say hi.

Love, love this RV park! Huge, tall trees all around to provide ample shade. Yet, still very strong WiFi. Clean, recently remodeled bathrooms and showers. Has laundry and dog park. Has a coffee and breakfast shop. Super nice staff. Dog friendly. Kind people camp here- come and join!

Lots of neighbors

Just saw my credit card, it was over $77 for the night, dry camping. I would have requested a new site but we were so tired after a long drive and decided to put up with it. When I couldn't shake my frustration with the site/cost I went to speak with the manager the next morning.

Great Flagstaff campground with a good amount of space between each site, plenty of trees around for shade, decent amenities, working hookups, and nice areas to walk through by yourself or with the dogs. It was a bit difficult to get in and out given the narrow pathways and peoples tendencies to spill out into them from their sites, but we made it work. We also found the ground soft, making our rig quickly become not level, but after using our leveling blocks and stabilizing, it stayed nice and stable the entire time, so all was good.

Beautiful spot in the forest on Route 66. Very close to downtown Flagstaff. Delicious cinnamon buns and chai latte or fancy coffee on site. Arizona wine on sale, the habanero infused red wine was pricey but a real treat. Day trip to Sedona down Oak Canyon Road was breathtaking.

We picked this campground as a stopover on our way home to California. It's a beautiful campground tucked away in the pines. Great pull through sites. The extraordinary thing about this campground is their coffee and wine bar. Willow, the GM, has a fantastic selection of local wines. She's also got the knowledge to help pick out and try exactly what you want. Willow has the most amazing personality and makes you feel right at home. Their newly renovated patio feels like something you would find in an upscale resort. If you are in the area, give them a try. You'll end up wanting to move in, just like we did.

This was a super nice campground with bed and breakfast. Lots to keep you busy. Cornhole, horseshoes, small playground for kiddos, fenced area for dogs to run, wine tastings, and even saw a food truck coming in as we were leaving. A little expensive but worth it. The gift shop had a lot of cool stuff and was fairly priced. Peaceful and beautiful. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room.

I stayed here Tues-Thurs (July 2025). Overall it was a pleasant stay!…read more CAMPGROUND/RESTROOMS: The campground is quiet and small but is well kept. Campsites and restrooms are clean. The campsites are nicely spread out which allows for privacy and quiet. The campsites have paved back-in "driveways" to park vehicles. Some sites have cemented eating areas and others don't. Each site has a fire pit, grill, and a picnic table. There is little to no lighting at night so be sure to have lamps and flashlights with you. Only the restrooms have lighting at night. Restrooms also have toilet paper and hand soap. There are 3 restroom buildings throughout the campground with both mens and womens stalls. There are NO SHOWERS at this campground. Outside each restroom building is a water spigot that has clean tap water. There are also recycling bins and a large commercial trash bin. HOSTS: The campground hosts were very nice and welcoming. They do a great job of maintaining the campground so shout out to them! CELLPHONE SERVICE: Cellphone service can be hard to access at the campground but as soon as you reach the entrance of the campground, you can get a few bars of service. My service provider is Cricket/AT&T but I noticed others at the campground also had trouble with cell service. TOURIST SITE RECOMMENDATIONS: *SUNSET CRATER VOLCANO (~5-10mins away) located next to the campground *WUPATKI (~30 mins east past Sunset Crater Volcano) *WALNUT CANYON (~20 mins south of the campground) Happy Camping!

(Keep in mind there is a fee for a second vehicle.) Not to far from the restroom ( the cleanest restroom there is) the host really take care of the place, has a facet for cleaning or getting water ( just don't wash your dishes there, not allow) Be ware if ya'll are heading in the summer, there was a few yellowjacket and wasp, we brought a trap to prevent getting strung, didn't get strung but get one if you needed. There were a couple of flies, friend got a fly trapper too so took care of that. When we went, there weren't mosquitos but again, we got a spray and sprayed just in case. I had t-mobile and there wasn't any signal, but if you drive out of the campground, you get signal right away. The site was pretty decent, you can put two tents and have a lot of room, fire pit was pretty deep, a nice concrete picnic table and trees all around; which you can bring a hammock and tied around the truck. Across of the site was the Sunset Crater Visitor Center that leads you to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, worth the drive and visit, there's a few view spots that you can bring food to have a picture and the views are just spectacular. This site is about an hour and forty-five minutes away from the Grand Canyon, about thirty minutes away from Flagstaff for your grocery needs. They don't have showers here but I recommend ya'll to shower at Little America Travel Center (2515 East Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004) showers were only $15.00 (tax included) and they have a freaking bathtub with a separate shower. You have an hour to take a shower or bath, they provide with one towel, hand towel and a mat towel. Especially after a long day at the Grand Canyon, a much needed shower that last more than thirty minutes is great. I hope this reviews helps to anyone that is planning a trip there.

Lockett Meadow is just outside of the town of Flagstaff at the base of the San Francisco Peaks. The peaks themselves are the remains of an extinct volcano. There is a small campground and many dispersed sites at Lockett Meadow that offers nice scenic views of the San Francisco Peaks. The road itself to Inner Basin Trailhead sucks. It is narrow and bumpy. Be extra careful driving up this road as it barely has room for one car. The road closes up in the winter season. The parking lot holds around a hundred cars and fills up fast, so plan to get there early. The trailhead is beautiful and shaded by aspen trees. I love when the sunlight peaks through the trees. There might some snow on the ground if you do this hike in the Fall. I personally think the snow adds beauty to your photos when there are leaves on the ground. The trail joins with the Waterline Trail briefly before you you get to the Inner Basin area where it connects to the Weatherford Trail. There is also a service road that you have to walk on briefly. The inner Basin Trailhead is a loop and is around 3.5 miles. There are lots of spots to stop and take photos along the way so plan on the hike being a few hours if you are a photogenic person. This is a really pretty hike, just a crappy drive to get to it.

Well, I guess all good things come to an end. We stayed here last year and had an amazing…read moreexperience. This year? Not so much. Apparently they now use an algorithm, which constantly reshuffles spots with each new reservation. The only way to be assured of keeping a spot is to pay an additional $30, which we were not told about when my husband called and booked our site. We now find ourselves NOT with our family (brother-in-law was relocated away from us a month after booking) on a site that is so tight, we can only sit on one side of our picnic table, since our slide out blocks the other side of our table's seating. The worst part is we have no trees and are so close to the road that we have to either bring our awnings in or constantly monitor the road, because if a rig goes by while our awnings are extended, they would rip our awnings right off. Just had to retract our awnings so a guy could get past. Just ridiculous. This should not even BE a site. But profits rule the world! Called the office and was told there is nothing they can do. We are stuck here. They refused to refund our money for even a portion of our 10 day stay, so we could just move on. They also would not disclose whether all the other empty sites around us had been "reserved" for the additional $30 fee. We were simply told moving to another site was not an option. The only bright spot is Chris, the campground host, who went above and beyond to get us moved after the weekend rush. But as any camper knows, we will have go through a lot of tearing down and setting up to go 100 feet. Sadly, this place has lost its charm for us. We will not be returning anytime soon! What a disappointing experience!
