We stopped in for the Fall Festival where they had country swing dancing lessons, live music, wine and mead tasting, hot cider and chocolate, baked goods, a cute gift shop, and so much more! Cute back patio area and inside area where you can enjoy a beer, glass of wine, or some food. Gift shop had some awesome gift items, some a little pricey, but the Route 66 bar towel was the same price as it was on Amazon and the glasses were cheaper! So we had some fun, and I scored a gift for a friend! They have hosted summer events, so they are trying to host some fall and winter events, something that Flagstaff needs! A tree on the entrance to the site leans in and between it and a power box ultimately got us stuck. We attempted to pull out for approximately 30 minutes. I then went to the office for help and Heather, and her husband Chris came to our rescue. Owning a 5th wheel themselves really helped and we were soon able to move to a much better site for us. The campsites are nicely spread out which allows for privacy and quiet. The campsites have paved back-in "driveways" to park vehicles. Some sites have cemented eating areas and others don't. Each site has a fire pit, grill, and a picnic table. There is little to no lighting at night so be sure to have lamps and flashlights with you. Only the restrooms have lighting at night. Restrooms also have toilet paper and hand soap. There are 3 restroom buildings throughout the campground with both mens and womens stalls. There are NO SHOWERS at this campground. Outside each restroom building is a water spigot that has clean tap water. There are also recycling bins and a large commercial trash bin. HOSTS: The campground hosts were very nice and welcoming. They do a great job of maintaining the campground so shout out to them! CELLPHONE SERVICE: Cellphone service can be hard to access at the campground but as soon as you reach the entrance of the campground, you can get a few bars of service. My service provider is Cricket/AT&T but I noticed others at the campground also had trouble with cell service. TOURIST SITE RECOMMENDATIONS: *SUNSET CRATER VOLCANO (~5-10mins away) located next to the campground *WUPATKI (~30 mins east past Sunset Crater Volcano) *WALNUT CANYON (~20 mins south of the campground) Happy Camping!

(Keep in mind there is a fee for a second vehicle.) Not to far from the restroom ( the cleanest restroom there is) the host really take care of the place, has a facet for cleaning or getting water ( just don't wash your dishes there, not allow) Be ware if ya'll are heading in the summer, there was a few yellowjacket and wasp, we brought a trap to prevent getting strung, didn't get strung but get one if you needed. There were a couple of flies, friend got a fly trapper too so took care of that. When we went, there weren't mosquitos but again, we got a spray and sprayed just in case. I had t-mobile and there wasn't any signal, but if you drive out of the campground, you get signal right away. The site was pretty decent, you can put two tents and have a lot of room, fire pit was pretty deep, a nice concrete picnic table and trees all around; which you can bring a hammock and tied around the truck. Across of the site was the Sunset Crater Visitor Center that leads you to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, worth the drive and visit, there's a few view spots that you can bring food to have a picture and the views are just spectacular. This site is about an hour and forty-five minutes away from the Grand Canyon, about thirty minutes away from Flagstaff for your grocery needs. They don't have showers here but I recommend ya'll to shower at Little America Travel Center (2515 East Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004) showers were only $15.00 (tax included) and they have a freaking bathtub with a separate shower. You have an hour to take a shower or bath, they provide with one towel, hand towel and a mat towel. Especially after a long day at the Grand Canyon, a much needed shower that last more than thirty minutes is great. I hope this reviews helps to anyone that is planning a trip there.

Apparently a few years ago you could drive in, but just a note, the road was closed when we got there and we had to hike to the meadows (it was worth it). Best time to go is in the fall. Apparently they now use an algorithm, which constantly reshuffles spots with each new reservation. The only way to be assured of keeping a spot is to pay an additional $30, which we were not told about when my husband called and booked our site. We now find ourselves NOT with our family (brother-in-law was relocated away from us a month after booking) on a site that is so tight, we can only sit on one side of our picnic table, since our slide out blocks the other side of our table's seating. The worst part is we have no trees and are so close to the road that we have to either bring our awnings in or constantly monitor the road, because if a rig goes by while our awnings are extended, they would rip our awnings right off. Just had to retract our awnings so a guy could get past. Just ridiculous. This should not even BE a site. But profits rule the world! Called the office and was told there is nothing they can do. We are stuck here. They refused to refund our money for even a portion of our 10 day stay, so we could just move on. They also would not disclose whether all the other empty sites around us had been "reserved" for the additional $30 fee. We were simply told moving to another site was not an option. The only bright spot is Chris, the campground host, who went above and beyond to get us moved after the weekend rush. But as any camper knows, we will have go through a lot of tearing down and setting up to go 100 feet. Sadly, this place has lost its charm for us. We will not be returning anytime soon! What a disappointing experience!

We went in June 2019, and it wasn't crowded at all. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. They came by and checked that we had everything we needed and offered us water. They gave us a general idea of the campground. They had installed little motion sensor lights in the bathroom, so you don't have to fumble with phones or flashlights to use the loo. They have a box of reading materials, books, maps, etc. like a little free library set up. They had 5 wonderful dogs, all leashed, controlled and super friendly and adorable. A few are trained therapy dogs, just wonderful sweet, quiet dogs. It was so clear to me that the hosts really took pride in making sure their guests had a good experience at the campground. I don't think I've ever stayed at a campground where the hosts went so out of their way to make sure I felt at home. I highly recommend this campground to travelers, or locals who just want a chance of scenery, just minutes from the city!

Fort tuthill offers cabins, hotel rooms, camp sites and yurts. We rented the A Frame rustic cabin which has a bedroom with 1 large bed, another bedroom had two twin beds upstairs and a pull out in the living. Full restroom and full kitchen. Prices have increased substantially in my opinion, but there is plenty of space so you could split the costs if you have to join you. They have Peak and Off-peak rates.... It's only for military and families (active, reserve, retired, etc). They also have smaller studio cabins, a larger cabin that fits up to 12 and some pet friendly units. The grounds are beautiful...for the outdoor enthusiasts, hiking, skiing (seasonal) nearby.... Staff was friendly, large fireplace in the lobby, along with a small convenience area where you can get snacks, beer, coffee and more. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors!

They have 2 trails connected to the campsite. One that is .5miles goes under the road to the lake, and one that is 1mile and goes up the mountain for the lake views. The campsite director did mention there are ravens so you do need to hide your food if you're going to be away. There were some ants, my dog did get bit up by some sort of bugs on her stomach. The campsite was $30 for the night + $10 for an extra car. I highly recommend this place! It was so peaceful

No one actually showed up for that spot. Black Barts Steakhouse offers a fun experience in the park. Ok food. Servers get on stage and perform musical numbers. If it's not hot and I'm not worried about battery, will probably just stay in Cracker Barrel parking lot and save the $75 fee

Easy access from the freeway, convenient restaurant, good water pressure, reliable electric hookup, nice area to walk the dogs in the trees. On the not-so nice side, it's clear that the owners are not maintaining the sites. Huge pot holes, crumbling concrete pads, gravel roads are mostly dirt now. The restrooms and showers are permanently closed. Lots of permanent residents that are not maintaining their sites. Definitely an ok place to stop for the night to get a great meal, but wouldn't want to stay here longer, and I would feel uncomfortable bringing kids here.
