Dirty pull out bed

My family and I recently stayed at your KOA Flagstaff Holiday location from June 2nd through June 5th. We intentionally chose KOA because of your strong reputation for quality and customer service, but unfortunately, our experience in the Deluxe Cabin Sinagua fell far below expectations and turned out to be extremely disappointing for the following reasons: 1. Non-Functioning Refrigerator & Spoiled Food Upon our arrival, we promptly unpacked and transferred all perishables from our cooler into the cabin's refrigerator. However, later that evening, we discovered that the fridge was not cooling at all. All of our food--including specially prepared items for my special needs daughter's restricted diet--was spoiled and had to be thrown away. We flagged down a KOA staff member in a golf cart, who inspected the refrigerator but said there was nothing he could do. He offered two bags of ice for a four-night stay, which was not a sufficient solution. We were left with no food to prepare meals and were forced to dine out for the remainder of the trip. This was not only a major financial burden but also created unnecessary challenges for my daughter's dietary needs, significantly impacting our ability to enjoy the vacation. When my father brought the issue to the front office, he was told by the female site manager that nothing would be done and no compensation would be offered. We were shocked and deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer care. 2. Cabin Safety and Cleanliness Concerns In addition to the refrigerator issue, the condition of the cabin was far below acceptable standards: The flooring at the top of the staircase (where children are meant to sleep) was severely damaged and hazardous. There was a deep dip in the flooring near the kitchen, possibly due to wood rot, which caused my children to trip and fall multiple times. The pull-out sofa bed had used linens and children's toys still in it--clearly not cleaned or reset for a new guest. The upstairs linens were dusty, indicating a lack of proper housekeeping. Also emailed corporate and received zero response. This not worth the amount of money that was spent there to stay and would never recommend it to anyone.

This is our 5th trip to the location. Great RV park. Clean, full amenities. Some spot have full hookups, with patios, grill, fire pits. Left phoenix yesterday an it was 100 degrees. Today up here it's a nice 70 degrees, light breeze . Perfect Day in Flag.

Very convenient and the lone KOA in flagstaff. Located right off the road, with a huge sign you cannot miss. Lots of RV spaces as well as tent options. They have two shower/bathroom locations. Front desk includes a nice little gift shop that has stickers, snacks and bath towel! Really good price, $35 just tent and goes up from there. At night there is some car sounds from the road but you barely hear it. Sites are pretty close to each other, including those across from you can pretty much see and hear you.

One of my fav KOA's! Backs to National Forest! That's all I need to know. Fatman's Pass trail is right out your backyard. It is clean, the staff is super friendly and for a Saturday in Flagstaff during peak summer season...the prices can't be beat! We stay in the camper cabins. They offer a small fridge, full electric l, a TV (nature is more interesting), a porch swing, picnic table, grill, one queen and two bunk beds. You need to bring linens and towels. Bathrooms and shower are conveniently located ( other than at 2 am ). The Kamp Kitchen has affordable breakfast and coffee, coffee and coffee! Did I mention the VIEWS??? Tall cool pines of Flagstaff never gets old. If you like staying at KOA's this one won't disappoint!

We had the opportunity to stay at the Flagstaff KOA this past weekend. Since we stayed in our own RV on a full hookup site, I can't speak to the offered restrooms and showers. The campground offers tent and a variety of hookup RV sites. Some with paved patio areas and others that are more rustic. The sites are VERY close to each other. To explain your table and small outdoor section for the normal sites can be right on the other side of a neighbor's setup. Aside from the proximity to other sites the campground is clean and they have staff patrolling every hour or so looking for wayward trash. The campground offers a kids playground, large bouncing balloon and dog park (I believe there is more.) The only issue we experienced was connecting our RV to the campground power while also using our surge protector. For some reason we could not get the power to go to our RV until after we disconnected the surge protector. While it might not have been the campgrounds power, I still wanted to mention it incase anyone else has this issue. Aside from this we would consider staying at this KOA again while in Flagstaff.

Threat eliminated.

I'm not too fussy about where I park my RV to slumber. In fact, I prefer KOA because it's the same procedure franchise-wide. I wanted to stay in Flagstaff forever because the town has a lot of artificial events and pseudo-friendly expats, otherwise it would be as dead as Kingman (where McVeigh planned his carnage). Most folks stay at Flagstaff KOA because of a nearby Canyon that is supposedly Grand to see. I've been to that hole a few times, south and north. lah-dee-dah. One KOA guest from NYC said he was accosted by a fire water Native who jumped the wire to warn the guest of impending danger: an alleged man with a dagger hiding behind a tree ready to mortify. Staff and city officials converged on the premises to investigate. Some visitors say the Flagstaff KOA is in shambles. One worker said it's in shambles. Well, it's the great outdoors next to an urban highway across the street from Circle K which is super popular on fire water Fridays. I thought the college KOA staff was pretty stellar, and elements such as the restrooms, laundry, and dump station are adequately functional. The elite RVs stay on the hill, whereas the lowly are assigned the flats or perimeter, a la apartheid. All the long-term semi-homeless, and wreck-creation rigs are on the flats.

One of my favorite campgrounds ever. Perfectly located. Easy drives to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and many other places.

Camp site description

The worst KOA I have been to on my trip. $49 is a lot for a tent site, but other KOAs I've been to (even cheaper ones) have made up for it with great amenities. Definitely not this one. First of all I paid an extra $5 for a padded tent site (mulch/wood chips). But then my site was gravel and crushed (!) rock, extremely uncomfortable. I got there late evening and was losing daylight quickly, so I didn't go back to try and sort it out. I did read later in the fine print that I have to not only pay for the upgraded site, I also have to specifically request it when checking in. What a ridiculous policy - why would I pay more if I didn't want the better site!? When I told them next morning that I felt misled, they couldn't care less. Secondly, the sites are extremely small. My tent was pitched only a few feet away from an RV. Other campgrounds not only have bigger sites, they also separate tents and RVs much better. And because of the high density occupation, the entire campground ended up covered in smoke from camp fires. The showers were old, dirty, run-down and very small. No paper towels in the bathroom either. I can't recommend this campground, it does not live up to KOA expectations.

This KOA was a great stop for us on our southwest tour! Very pretty and well kept. Our site #23 was a newer pull through patio site near the office. A nice site, but the older sites farther back in the campground offer much more scenery. Perhaps the nicest thing about this KOA is their KampK9 dog area. This one was huge and divided into two separate fenced areas! it had nice grass, and shaded pine trees with agility obstacles to play on. The labs loved it! There is also walking paths at the back of the campground. very nice! Unfortunately the laundry area was loaded with out of order machines. Hopefully this was temporary. This KOA has close access to shopping area and stores. We will be back!

This is the worst of the many KOAs I have used, mainly because our dirt slab was terribly bumpy and not even close to level.

The campsites are nicely spread out which allows for privacy and quiet. The campsites have paved back-in "driveways" to park vehicles. Some sites have cemented eating areas and others don't. Each site has a fire pit, grill, and a picnic table. There is little to no lighting at night so be sure to have lamps and flashlights with you. Only the restrooms have lighting at night. Restrooms also have toilet paper and hand soap. There are 3 restroom buildings throughout the campground with both mens and womens stalls. There are NO SHOWERS at this campground. Outside each restroom building is a water spigot that has clean tap water. There are also recycling bins and a large commercial trash bin. HOSTS: The campground hosts were very nice and welcoming. They do a great job of maintaining the campground so shout out to them! CELLPHONE SERVICE: Cellphone service can be hard to access at the campground but as soon as you reach the entrance of the campground, you can get a few bars of service. My service provider is Cricket/AT&T but I noticed others at the campground also had trouble with cell service. TOURIST SITE RECOMMENDATIONS: *SUNSET CRATER VOLCANO (~5-10mins away) located next to the campground *WUPATKI (~30 mins east past Sunset Crater Volcano) *WALNUT CANYON (~20 mins south of the campground) Happy Camping!

Not to far from the restroom ( the cleanest restroom there is) the host really take care of the place, has a facet for cleaning or getting water ( just don't wash your dishes there, not allow) Be ware if ya'll are heading in the summer, there was a few yellowjacket and wasp, we brought a trap to prevent getting strung, didn't get strung but get one if you needed. There were a couple of flies, friend got a fly trapper too so took care of that. When we went, there weren't mosquitos but again, we got a spray and sprayed just in case. I had t-mobile and there wasn't any signal, but if you drive out of the campground, you get signal right away. The site was pretty decent, you can put two tents and have a lot of room, fire pit was pretty deep, a nice concrete picnic table and trees all around; which you can bring a hammock and tied around the truck. Across of the site was the Sunset Crater Visitor Center that leads you to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, worth the drive and visit, there's a few view spots that you can bring food to have a picture and the views are just spectacular. This site is about an hour and forty-five minutes away from the Grand Canyon, about thirty minutes away from Flagstaff for your grocery needs. They don't have showers here but I recommend ya'll to shower at Little America Travel Center (2515 East Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004) showers were only $15.00 (tax included) and they have a freaking bathtub with a separate shower. You have an hour to take a shower or bath, they provide with one towel, hand towel and a mat towel. Especially after a long day at the Grand Canyon, a much needed shower that last more than thirty minutes is great. I hope this reviews helps to anyone that is planning a trip there.

Apparently they now use an algorithm, which constantly reshuffles spots with each new reservation. The only way to be assured of keeping a spot is to pay an additional $30, which we were not told about when my husband called and booked our site. We now find ourselves NOT with our family (brother-in-law was relocated away from us a month after booking) on a site that is so tight, we can only sit on one side of our picnic table, since our slide out blocks the other side of our table's seating. The worst part is we have no trees and are so close to the road that we have to either bring our awnings in or constantly monitor the road, because if a rig goes by while our awnings are extended, they would rip our awnings right off. Just had to retract our awnings so a guy could get past. Just ridiculous. This should not even BE a site. But profits rule the world! Called the office and was told there is nothing they can do. We are stuck here. They refused to refund our money for even a portion of our 10 day stay, so we could just move on. They also would not disclose whether all the other empty sites around us had been "reserved" for the additional $30 fee. We were simply told moving to another site was not an option. The only bright spot is Chris, the campground host, who went above and beyond to get us moved after the weekend rush. But as any camper knows, we will have go through a lot of tearing down and setting up to go 100 feet. Sadly, this place has lost its charm for us. We will not be returning anytime soon! What a disappointing experience!
