Where do I start about this AMAZING RV Park?! It starts first with the owner, the 4th generation to own & run this perfectly located RV park smack dab in the middle of the tall, beautiful pines in Flagstaff, AZ. An owner that you can clearly see takes pride not only in the constant maintenance of this gem of an RV park, but also an owner who has the vision to continuously work to improve the park for both the nightly guests as well as the long term folks. Then you've got the two wonderful front office guys, Pat & Dre, who are pretty much the concierge for the park. For the 2 months we've stayed here, I know that if we need anything Flagstaff related these two are our guys. Whether it's a certain type of food we're craving, or simply just want to watch football, these two have been our go to for the best recommendations on where to go. Lastly, the park itself. We are newer to full time RV life and I can comfortably say that all the parks on our list for future visits..if they are even simply half as beautiful and well ran as Flagstaff RV Park, I know we are in for an amazing journey. Thank you everyone at Flagstaff RV Park for starting our journeys off on such a high note, we will DEFINITELY be back.

Especially the RN's who work Labor & Delivery) The campground was covered in snow (February) and so I cannot comment about the showers/restrooms/laundromat, etc. as these services are not available in the winter. However, this just means more available spaces to park or camp (they have sites for tents, Campers, big 5th wheels with slide-outs and huge motor coaches they have new 50amp sites for with easy pull in access! Sites are big enough and signage is good. The one thing I would suggest is during the summer, they need to somehow mark the driving pathways so they can easily be distinguished from campsites when snowfall covers the ground. We accidentally drove thru some tent sites getting to our reserved 30amp space in the very back of the campground. No harm done - but my sweet hubby who was driving in was getting quite grumpy how awkward it was to park - only to later realize that if we would have followed the roadway, it would've made a lot more sense and been so much easier! Once we parked, Water and Electric hook ups were quite easy, and each site had a picnic table with plenty of room for parking we even had room at our site for an extra car to park. We thought we would only be there a couple of nights, but due to complications with the birth we ended up having to stay more nights and even asked for a late checkout, and both needs were met by office staff with such kindness and understanding. By the way, definitely make some time to shop around the store. Besides supporting your local community businesses, they have some excellent products for a VERY tasty charcuterie board, light lunch and snacks to take back to your campsite or pack up to go on a hike! My last comment is about marking your GPS coordinates if you are on any site at the back (closest to the brick wall) where the new 50amp and 30amp sites are. Apple Maps, Google Maps & Waze will all mark correct GPS coordinates, however, when you switch to an address, it will tell you that you are on the next street over as if you are one of the apartments on the other side, of the brick wall. In fact, even the sites across from our not up against the brick wall, still show an address using the street name "Pico Del Monte Circle" on the other side of the brick wall where the apartments are located. This is pretty important if you are using your location finder to give somebody else directions to where you are or using apps like Instacart or DoorDash. I did use DoorDash while we were there and the driver had to call and I had to explain how to get into the campground.. this has nothing to do with Woody Mountain Campground and everything to do with the map situation. I did report it to Apple and Google. Hopefully it will get fixed but as of today, i see that has not been fixed. (may 2026)

We stopped in for the Fall Festival where they had country swing dancing lessons, live music, wine and mead tasting, hot cider and chocolate, baked goods, a cute gift shop, and so much more! Cute back patio area and inside area where you can enjoy a beer, glass of wine, or some food. Gift shop had some awesome gift items, some a little pricey, but the Route 66 bar towel was the same price as it was on Amazon and the glasses were cheaper! So we had some fun, and I scored a gift for a friend! They have hosted summer events, so they are trying to host some fall and winter events, something that Flagstaff needs! Definitely returning for some winter fun!!

Bathrooms are closed, have been for a couple years it seems. Lots of full-timers camped out there. Office crammed with Amazon boxes for the residents. The internal road is horribly pockmarked. Damn near dislocated all your cabinets just getting to your site. I was given a tandem back-end site and a lecture to "pull all the way forward so someone could get in behind me". No one actually showed up for that spot. Black Barts Steakhouse offers a fun experience in the park. Ok food. Servers get on stage and perform musical numbers. If it's not hot and I'm not worried about battery, will probably just stay in Cracker Barrel parking lot and save the $75 fee

Easy access from the freeway, convenient restaurant, good water pressure, reliable electric hookup, nice area to walk the dogs in the trees. On the not-so nice side, it's clear that the owners are not maintaining the sites. Huge pot holes, crumbling concrete pads, gravel roads are mostly dirt now. The restrooms and showers are permanently closed. Lots of permanent residents that are not maintaining their sites. Definitely an ok place to stop for the night to get a great meal, but wouldn't want to stay here longer, and I would feel uncomfortable bringing kids here.

It's about an hour south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, about an hour or so north of Sedona, and less than an hour west of Flagstaff. So it is nicely placed to do excursions. Also, since it's virtually impossible to get a campsite at the Grand Canyon, this RV park works out pretty well for us. Aside from the convenience of accessing other areas, the town of Williams itself is very charming. We always find there's plenty to do. It's less than a five minute drive from the RV site to the center of town where they have plenty of restaurants and gift shops to check out, a nice wine shop, and a couple of breweries. The town of Williams is part of the Route 66 Highway, and the town has a 50s/60s vibe to it, almost like a scene out of American Graffiti. One of our favorite things to do when we're here is go to Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe where you can get a smoked brisket sandwich, burger, and the like, as well as drinks from a full bar, as you listen to live music from talented local musician John Carpino, as he sings and plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, and percussion doing a variety of classic rock, country, and audience favorites. One of the things we really love about this park is they have a dog washing station. They also have a laundry mat. There is a Spa area that we've used in the past, but it was out of service this time around. Not sure why. Maybe it was a casualty of COVID. There is a train track terminal in the town of Williams, so there are occasional trains that go by the park taking passengers up to the Grand Canyon. We've never done the train ride, but that sounds like something fun to do. The point is, you'll hear some train noise sometimes in the middle of the night. Still not enough to knock my review below 5 stars. The WIFI is OK. We were actually able to stream some of our shows, but oftentimes, we would loose the signal. Again, still not enough to knock my review below 5 stars.
