This is an amazing RV park. Clean and level spaces. The bathrooms were immaculate. And they'll arrange for your tickets on the Grand Canyon Railroad. Added plus -- there's a free shuttle to and from the train station! There was also a free barbeque (donations accepted but not required) on Saturday for Memorial Day. Beef and pork, corn, green beans, and even dessert! We understand they do this on every holiday! We had a flat tire on our camper on the morning we were scheduled to leave, and we were unable to get the lug nuts off to change the tire. Two campground employees noticed our struggle and stopped to help. They had the tools to loosen the lug nuts and then stayed to help us finish changing the tire. Couldn't have done it without their help! read more

Very nice park with friendly staff great dog wash station, train goes right next to the park, lots to do in the area even found the best butcher shop. Cons don't drink the city water we both got sick, lots of noise from cars and train horns at all hours. Rates are very high The grocery store is doing great business on bottled water because of bad city water IMO read more

Railside RV Ranch (Williams, AZ) - June 13, 2023 We've stayed at this RV park a few times before. It's about an hour south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, about an hour or so north of Sedona, and less than an hour west of Flagstaff. So it is nicely placed to do excursions. Also, since it's virtually impossible to get a campsite at the Grand Canyon, this RV park works out pretty well for us. Aside from the convenience of accessing other areas, the town of Williams itself is very charming. We always find there's plenty to do. It's less than a five minute drive from the RV site to the center of town where they have plenty of restaurants and gift shops to check out, a nice wine shop, and a couple of breweries. The town of Williams is part of the Route 66 Highway, and the town has a 50s/60s vibe to it, almost like a scene out of American Graffiti. One of our favorite things to do when we're here is go to Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe where you can get a smoked brisket sandwich, burger, and the like, as well as drinks from a full bar, as you listen to live music from talented local musician John Carpino, as he sings and plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, and percussion doing a variety of classic rock, country, and audience favorites. One of the things we really love about this park is they have a dog washing station. They also have a laundry mat. There is a Spa area that we've used in the past, but it was out of service this time around. Not sure why. Maybe it was a casualty of COVID. There is a train track terminal in the town of Williams, so there are occasional trains that go by the park taking passengers up to the Grand Canyon. We've never done the train ride, but that sounds like something fun to do. The point is, you'll hear some train noise sometimes in the middle of the night. Still not enough to knock my review below 5 stars. The WIFI is OK. We were actually able to stream some of our shows, but oftentimes, we would loose the signal. I was going to give this RV park 5 stars until this happened with the flag flying near the office after the Trump verdict. Very upsetting to those vets, first responders, etc. they deserve better! We always try to support local businesses on the road, but we won't be back to this park because of this. I don't care about your politics but I do care about the flag and what it represents. read more

This was a great RV Park. We wondered in without a reservation. Tamara was so accommodating and found a spot for us. I'm sure it was the last one available. We had a great time at the Grand Canyon. We will make sure it will be a regular stop. We often travel from Oklahoma to California and back. I highly recommend this RV Park. First time staying here last week and it's awesome. Dog friendly, good sites with full hook ups and centrally located. You get the train coming and going but it's not an issue. Pricing is reasonable and easy to get in and out with motorhome pulling. read more

What a place to stay. We stayed here for 7 days along with 5 other friends with tiffins and we had an absolute blast. We did the train one afternoon up to the canyon . The hospitality of the staff here is impeccable. We played cards as well as pool upstairs in the barn almost every-night. The fire pits are cool as well. Loved this RV park. Very rustic. Friendly, helpful staff. Loved, loved the pet spa! We stayed here before camping in the Grand Canyon Campground, and we came back after the Grand Canyon specifically because of the pet spa. They have two hot tubs, a laundry room, and a small store. If you have pets that stay behind when you are out and about, they will go to your rig and walk your dogs for no extra charge! It takes about an hour to drive to the Grand Canyon from the RV park. Williams/Route 66 and Bearizona are just a few minutes away. (You must check out Bearizona!!!). I'd definitely stay here again. There's a bit of train noise (it's called Railside for a reason), and a bit of road traffic noise, but not too bad. read more

We just love this space. Intended to stay a week and ended up staying almost a month. It's the oldest park in Williams with lovey mature trees and located next to the fairgrounds. The historic Grand Canyon train scoots by 4 times per day, tooting "shave and a haircut (know what I mean?)". Tamara and Patrick (owners) are kind and accommodating. These two are easy to talk to and always have a wave and smile. The site size is generous with us being able to park a 39ft 5th wheel trailer, a smaller flatbed trailer, a car, and our towing truck. I was told in non-covoid times there is full continental breakfast offered every morning. We didnt get to experience this, but wish we had. I hope we make it back to Railside RV. I fell in love w the town and this park. read more

In searching for a campground for an end of the summer trip with the family that included hookups we came across Railside RV. To make a reservation you have to call, but we lucked out and they had an opening. The place was nice and seemed to be well maintained. Only a few of the offered amenities were available due to COVID, but we did enjoy that they had a small dog park, mini golf and outdoor kids play area. We didn't discover the indoor play area with pool table and games until our last day. Hookup was no problem and we even took advantage of the insight propane refill option, which was weird (call and leave message to get a return call with instructions for drop off and return) but I am sure it is a lot easier without COVID restrictions. The only downside was how close all the sites are to each other. (Literally felt like we were right on top of our neighbor. And our picnic table was positioned right next to the sewer section for the next neighbor.) Luckily we moved the table some and were okay, but if you are looking for a site with some privacy this is not the place. We loved the easy distance to Williams and Bearizona. The train tracks on site were interesting and we only noticed the train horns a couple of times. All in all the campsite was nice if you want closeness to town and amenities. If we visit Williams again we might stay again. read more

Bad camping experience - someone poked a hole in my camper last night. When I pulled in last night about 7:30 I parked behind the camper and I know for a fact the hole was not there. Aggravating, but not the end of the world. I told the front desk at #railsidervpark and the front desk said sorry and they'd send someone over to take a picture. I just wanted extra security tonight. I wait for over 30 minutes and wave down a worker who says the park owner wants to chat with me. Park owner pulls up and was immediately agressive. In my face agressive. Said he'd never had a problem in 30 years, how dare I complain, and I just wanted him to pay to fix it. I said, "No, not at all. Just wanted him to know." He threateningly says that since I'm going to complain he's going to call the police. Ok and...this is supposed to scare me? Call them. Neighbors are coming over to look and telling me it looks like a bullet hole. Owner's wife/co-owner comes over and said she pulled all the video feed from three security cameras and there was nothing seen (hours of footage checked from three cameras in 20 minutes?). She's as verbally aggressive as her husband. Accuses me of trying to get money. I very clearly state no I do not want that. So she says, "Then what DO you want?" Me, "An apology from your husband for scaring me." Her, "That's all?!" Me, "Yes". Her, "I'll tell my husband and he can decide if you're worth an apology or not." I tell her I don't feel safe and I'm probably leaving. She says to call her and let her know and leaves. Police come and are super nice. Could not tell me for sure if a bullet caused the hole or not. Talked about how weird the hole location was. Gave me a report. I told them I did not feel safe when the owner's wife came back. Police said they understood. So I packed up and left. On the road now. #1 rule as a solo female traveler - NEVER stay where you don't feel safe. The owners scared me - not the deliberate hole. read more

We only intended to stay one day and stayed for 3! The park is awesome! They have a gym, a small mini golf area and playground for kids. The train comes by twice daily heading to Grand Canyon. The interstate is close enough to be convenient, but we didn't hear it. They served breakfast. The laundry area was nice. Showers looked great (we didn't use them). Tamara (owner) gave us a great map when we arrived and told us so many great spots to see while we wife there. I would love to visit again. As we were leaving the owners were out telling everyone good by! I get the feeling they are always doing even more to improve so it would be fun to come back and see what they have done now. read more

They went out of their way to ensure my family had a great stress free time. They even made our last minute train reservations and provided a shuttle service. The people that run this campground were so nice and helpful. We had our tow vehicle breakdown and we're trying to get to a campground for the night after a very long travel day. Which included the car trouble. They waited for us to arrive which was well after 9:00 PM. They also pointed us in the direction of a mechanic who had our car fixed the next day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would love to take the train to the Grand Canyon which they can help you to plan and schedule. read more

We stayed here in a 40', 4 slide class A during the dates of April 3-20. everything is still closed in the park, including office. By this point, they can open up, other CGs are successfully doing it. I feel they're enjoying charging TOP dollar for their CG, but not providing any services. Store, hot tubs, reck room, all closed. We didn't feel comfortable leaving much outside because there's no security and it's not fenced in. There is a small wall on the road next to the CG with with openings to the street that has apartments on it, the back is just open fields, and a small development on the other side. Anyone can easily park next to that wall, walk into the park, take whatever, then get in their car and leave. In speaking with other campers, this feeling was apparent with most of us. The sites are very very Very tight, unless you're on the end. Gravel. Many times we saw dogs off leash. The train goes by quite close and there's a crossing, so they must blow their horn. although that noise did not wake us, our neighbors mentioned it woke them. No one came by the sites to check on them after people left. It is close to town, just a few miles. If we were to return, we'd use the one that's IN town. I gave it a 3 only because of its proximity to the Grand Canyon train, and town. WAY overpriced for a CG that looks run down and offers so little. read more

Nice park with a lot of amenities. It's basically a large gravel lot with level spots and some trees with full hook ups which was great. Kind of close to the next spot. Very dog friendly with a dog spa where you can wash and dry your pet. It's a very cute main building (not a lot of items for sale in the store) and a really cute clubhouse where they have tons of games and continental breakfast with waffles served each day. They have 2 inside hot tubs, a large outdoor fire pit, a smaller gas outdoor fire pit, playground and a small dog play yard. Didn't use the bathrooms or laundry so I can't comment on that. Everyone was so friendly. The only thing missing was doggie bags being that this place was so dog friendly. I personally bring my own, but the worker was yelling to someone that they have to clean up because 'these people don't know how to clean up after their dogs' simple solution...have some in the dog play area. As I said, I had my own but I thought she was kinda rude. read more

We stopped here on a cross-country trip and were so pleased with our stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even agreed to stay up late for us to get in. The campground is clean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. And the railroad that takes you right from their front door to the Grand Canyon? Can't beat that!! They even have the cutest complimentary waffle breakfast! And a dog park for the pups. Hospitality plus here. Nice folks. Clean laundry room. We sat rocking on the porch while we did laundry. They have change machines. Super dog friendly with a dog shampoo house. Exercise room where I did yoga. Two story HUGE barn with community tables inside and second floor is a rec room with ping pong and games and a great place to hang out. Train sounds during the day, never heard train at night. They offer bags of ice and propane. Easy drive to Grand Canyon. We will be back. Laid back location and nice for visiting. read more

my favorite rv campground with real people with warm heart. we booked for one night only, but soon realized we were stuck as our slide-out broke extracted. Rhonda was flexible and very kind enough to wait for us way pass the check out time, cheering, showing empathy, letting us take a short tour to the city while waiting for the third service man. the slide-out got fixed only the next day late afternoon (way pass the check out time again, but she didn't charge us any), and after a short trip to grand canyon, we decided to change our itinerary and stay here one more night. we called at 7pm with hesitation (because it's after office hours) and the owner (forgot to ask her name!) kindly waited for us so that we can check in. again, you guys are the best! the two worst days of our family vacation actually taught us the value of humanity through you guys. thank you. read more

Heard her berating employee and calling him '"stupid" as well as other things. Would like to return but not with Tammy there running things the way she does. My husband and I stopped here for an overnight on our way from Illinois to California. Due to our stay being so brief, my reason for this review is simply to rave about the impeccable hospitality shown to us by Tamara in the front office! She checked us in after hours, made us feel right at home, gave helpful suggestions for dinner, and supplied a delicious, complimentary homemade breakfast. We stayed one night in a motorhome at this campground on our way to Colorado. Customer service here is awesome and they even serve free breakfast in the morning. My family loved it. It's a gravel lot and the Grand Canyon railroad train pulls in right next to it to park for the night. But it is close to the downtown area of Williams (I think about a mile). We walked but I think the campground can shuttle you to downtown. We enjoyed our stay and booked another night there on our way home from Colorado. We recommend this place if you are visiting the area. Bearizona Wildlife Park is close by and also worth a visit during the summer months (cold in the winter and spring). read more
