If you're looking for a nice, tranquil and fun retreat near the Grand Canyon, this is the place you…read moreneed to book. I've stayed here twice already and both times have been nothing less that great. The first thing you'll notice are the calming neutral colors of the inside and outside of the house. Its minimalism allows you to take in the entire space and settle in like it's your own. The house has all the modern conveniences, including cable, wi-fi, a fully-equipped kitchen and a lovely BBQ area on the back deck that begs you to take advantage of it. The bedrooms (I've stayed in both the master and one of the other the rooms) are spacious and inviting. Even though you might only stay for a few days, the closet space is amazing. The master has a walk-in that makes me wish it was my own - with deep shelves and loads of space, as if you were planning to stay for months. One of the things I really appreciate is that there is separation from the active space of the home and the sleeping space. So if you're traveling with kids (or even some tired friends) you can still enjoy the front of the house while they are asleep in the back without any disturbance. The location is perfect for leaving your car parked. It's across the street from the Grand Canyon Railway and a 5-10 minute walk (depending on your pace) to the main strip where all the restaurants, shopping, and nightlife reside - which happens to be a part of the historic Route 66. There is a Safeway grocery store in the same walking distance, so if you want to fire up that BBQ in the back, you can easily fill up that grill with the goods. If you'd rather dine out, I'd recommend Red Raven, which has something for everyone. I've eaten there a number of times and have enjoyed everything I've had - steak, salads, patty melt, wine, etc. There's also a small Thai place down the street - Dara Thai Cafe. Definitely make a reservation here, because there are only a few tables. (Tell Apple we sent you!) If you're looking for some comfort food, Cruisers Cafe 66 is your place. There are also a number of other restaurants - Italian, Mexican, Country Diner, Steak House, but I haven't visited them yet. I will say this though, they are always filled when I walk by, so that has to say something. If you want to stay out a little later than dinner, Sultana Bar is a fun, divey kind of place where you can kick back and enjoy the local flavor. Pool tables, stocked bar and dance floor (with live music). Not to mention, just down the street from the comforts of home. It's a quiet town, but I really do like Williams and I really do like this rental home. It's modern, it's convenient and it's a great deal. May sound like I'm blowing a lot of sunshine, but trust me I'm not. This is truly one of the most serene places I've been to and I look forward to going back.

Holy moly! What a beautiful hotel surrounded by trees, grass and hornets…read more BTW, there was a hornets nest near the parking area; I had no issues while staying 2m away. The Jasmine room is just that, a room with an attached bathroom. I loved it. Quaint and lovely and comfortable. No AC but the ceiling fan and closed windows is enough to keep the room cool. The bathtub is protected by a curtain on a ring hanging from the ceiling. This is not load bearing! Do not use it to get in and out of the tub. All the shampoo, soap and bandages you could need are supplied. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from Williams. We picked up dinner, drinks and coffee there.

This is a charming & welcoming property. We were in the Heather room, the room was facing west…read more I thought the room would be warm, but it was comfortable each time we were in it, we had an exterior screen door and window open as well. There is no A/C, the WiFi worked great. They have granola bars and other little snacks along with keurig coffee maker and pods available in the common rooms. Basic cable provided and two sitting chairs. If you have mobility issues, there is a ramp, but none of the stairs have hand rails. The claw foot tub is charming, but again mobility issues, there was a handrail on the wall next to the tub. The toilet was a standard toilet. Not a handicapped friendly property. The bed was not very comfortable at all. You are a short distance from the railroad so you hear trains a lot along with traffic from Rodeo Rd. I guess that's why they have ear plugs in the common room if you need them. Since there is a coffee maker it would be nice if they could add a microwave in the common area and some sort of fridge either in the rooms or in the common area. The location was in a neighborhood so you will hear dogs barking on occasion along with cats meowing.
