I'm going to start this review off by saying.....you need to stay at Trapper's Rendezvous if you're going to visit Williams. The Fam. and I spent this past Friday and Saturday night at Trapper's and we would return in a heartbeat. Trapper's Rendezvous site out in the wide open spaces that surround Williams. If you want to get to town, it is a 5 minute drive, maybe 10 if you get stuck behind an RV. You get the peace and quiet with the convenience of being close to town. We arrived at Trapper's around 3 after visiting Bearizona and having lunch. Check-in wasn't until 4, but we called and said our room was ready. Emily and Matthieu are the onsite hosts and they are so nice. They do a great job at taking care of the place. Literally within minutes or people checking out, they are getting the room ready for the next guest. Trapper's has a total of 6 cabins. All of them placed around a courtyard with a large pavilion in the center. We were assigned cabin one. Better known as Wild Wild West. The room was spacious with to very comfortable queen sized beds. There was also a smart tv, fridge, and coffee maker. You can even sit out on the front porch to Strat your morning with a cup of coffee or watch the sun go down in the evening. Note: Cabin 1 is an ADA room. If you feel like cooking for yourself, there is a gas grill available in the pavilion. We grilled some kabobs and it was a great experience. However, you'll need to bring your own plates and flatware. If you want to sit around the fire and make s'mores, you can do that also. Everything you need is provided for you. All you need is the s'mores fixins. read more

If your ever in Williams this is the place to stay. Best experience I have ever had staying out of town we stayed 3 nights at trapper's and we loved it. They have everything you could ask for and if you need anything the host is on call at any time to help you. Beautiful scenery surrounding the whole property there's even a little creek behind the place we saw wild deer on the property. And make sure you get the breakfast add-on it's totally worth it. We had the pleasure of staying at Trapper's Rendezvous this weekend. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. There were fresh flowers, water in the refrigerator, and luxurious robes for our use. The linens were top quality and the western decor was perfect. The fresh cooked breakfast was delicious. There were outdoor games and a fire pit, a nice sitting area and picnic tables and grill. What a fantastic place to stay! We had the Antlers Room, it was spacious and very clean. With high winds and snow they lost power our first morning, the cabins are so well build it never got cold and Caroline had use of a gas stove and made delicious coffee along with an excellent breakfast. We stayed in a family room for 2 nights, two adults, one teen and 2 younger children and we had plenty of space. The room was clean and cozy. We were lucky enough to be there for their first snowfall of the year and we were snug and warm in our room. The inn keepers Emily and Matthieu were delightful and made for such a welcoming stay. This place is a true gem! Caroline is a top-notch innkeeper, the room was perfectly appointed, spotless, and comfortable, and the location is both quiet and convenient. First, the food: each morning, Caroline greets you in the main house with a smile, and a beautiful spread of homemade breakfast items. We were traveling with our newborn daughter, and the care and attention to detail exhibited by Caroline was exactly what we needed. Second, the room: we stayed in Squash Blossom Suite. It was charming, spacious, and comfortable. Third, location: a mile from the little town of Williams, and 50 miles from the Grand Canyon, thus a perfect combination. We were able to go into town for dinner, a bottle of wine, etc., and at the same time our early-morning drive to the Canyon was easy and efficient. In sum, Trapper's Rendezvous is one of our favorite spots to date. We can't wait to return! This place is beautiful, clean & comfortable. I give 5 stars for the above. The main reason that I would not recommend is the noise from other guest in the same out building. I spent 4 nights here and each night was a different loud experience. You can hear almost every word and lots of pounding on the walls from the quest in the same building. We had a WONDERFUL experience at this quaint and cozy B&B! The Host Wade was lots of fun joking around with us from the moment we arrived, which made our stay a lot of fun. The warm rooms were decorated so nice and everything we needed was provided for us. The breakfasts were ample & yummy. My girlfriend's parents are in their 90's, and they were treated like "Royalty"!!! Suggestions for dinner and directions to places we were going to were provided, which was great! We highly recommend visiting BEARIZONA if you're in this area - we LOVED it! We hope to return here in the Spring and will definitely stay here again if any rooms are available... We were very impressed with our stay by the hospitality and overall cleanliness of this establishment. They were very accommodating and kind. Our breakfast was so good and filling. Our room was very clean and stocked with extra toilet paper, plenty of towels, extra blankets, and bathroom necessities. We had an excellent experience and would love to visit again. It was conveniently right off the interstate, but quiet and felt as if we were on a ranch miles outside of town. We drove from Williams to the Grand Canyon and the drive was quick without much traffic. We stayed here this past weekend and it was wonderful! Been to Williams several times and stayed in town but this place is great!! The breakfast was delicious and the room was very cozy and looked brand new. We stayed in the Squash blossom room which has a king size bed with an extra room that has a daybed with trundle. That extra room also has two chairs and an ottoman with a tv and dresser for your things. There is a coffee maker with everything you need to doll it up and teas and hot cocoa. Wine glasses with wine open, water glasses and coffee/tea mugs are also in the room. The owners are very nice and they make sure you have everything you need. I loved that they brought our breakfast to our room since it snowed overnight and I didn't want to go out in the cold in the morning. They also cleared passages on the property to walk to and from the main building and for us to drive out. Can't wait to go back! Just finishing up a spring break trip to the Grand Canyon. This place was amazing and quaint. The owners restored these lovely 1920 storefront market cabins and kept much of the original frames and hard wood. The rooms have a western feel and were super clean! My mom and I joked that they were way cleaner than our house back in LA. Every morning, they serve a lovely home made breakfast. The pancakes and cheesy potatoes are the bomb and you can always have seconds. The couple who helps run the place love to chat and have lots of tips of what to see and do in the area. Just so friendly and cheerful! The Grand Canyon is about 45 minutes away and Williams is a nice small little town with a cute little block of shops and restaurants. The only issue was the wifi. It just didn't work that well. But most ppl come out here to disconnect so it wasn't that much of a problem. Watch for the adorable cat who hangs around and loves to be pet. Trappers rendezvous is The best place to stay in Arizona! My sweetheart and I had the pleasure of staying in Williams and found trappers rendezvous to be absolutely the most accommodating place we have ever been! There are only six rooms to this place and we were one of the first to arrive to this rustic little B&B on Valentines weekend. Sherry and Rod are the Hosts, they showed us around and gave us pointers on where to eat and shop and how to get to the lake. Then they showed us our room. Amazing! We had the squash blossom cabin. It is so nice to walk into a suite so nicely decorated with so many details, it feels like a home. Wood floors, white wood canopy bed, so comfortable we slept in! The cabin was, all done in Indian patterns with no expenses spared with beautiful details such as a copper sink, and niceties to make it comfy. This cabin is warm and inviting! We hated to leave. On the front porch of each cabin are chairs with a table to enjoy your morning coffee and the peacefulness of the area. On Valentines Day, Sherry showed up with chocolate and wine. Sherry and Rod are simply the nicest most down to earth, thoughtful people you can meet. They are the reason we will return soon! We went for breakfast 2 mornings in a row, Sherry and Rod cooked every morning and served us at the community table. We had a different breakfast each morning, both were cowboy breakfasts. Meat, eggs, potatoes and of course home made jams and jellies. It was really nice to talk with the other guests about where they were headed and what room they stayed in since they are all different. Lucy is the neighbors cat, but Lucy doesn't know that, lol. Lucy greets everyone who steps foot on the property. She is very sweet and made our stay that much better. For that western feel you can't go wrong staying here with Sherry and Rod. Kudos to the owner Dawn for her wonderful taste in décor and management! We will be back! read more

I had an amazing time there!!! The hosts were so great with everything! Amazing breakfast! They went above and beyond. I had mentioned I'm lactose intolerant. One morning one of the sides was oatmeal and they made sure to put almond milk in it. Our last day there, we had French toast, sausage, hash browns, fresh pineapple. They made sure to make my French toast without any dairy. How considerate. I never asked them to do any of that! I was just going to eat the other food that was there. It was peaceful there as well. Spent one super restorative night here after 3 days backpacking in the Grand Canyon. We were completely beat, but immediately perked up when we met our kind hosts Wade and Mellisa. We waited 5-10m for them to return from the grocery store to help us to check in (they were picking up goodies for the MOST delicious breakfast the following day). If you can anticipate your arrival better than we did, they'll absolutely be there to check you in. The inn was clean and very cozy, we stayed in the Antlers room and really dug the western vibe, and the plush robes and hot shower and huge bed. The Sunday breakfast the next day was a communal affair and we met a cute older couple on their way to Vegas over sausages pancakes and eggs YUM. Be prepared for the friendliest people ever at this place, it just attracts that type. Will definitely be back if we find our way to Williams again. read more

Trapper's Rendezvous was a terrific find for us! We only stayed one night on our way to the Grand Canyon, but the innkeepers, Sherry and Rod, made our stay very comfortable! Check-in was easy. We were earlier than we had anticipated, but they were fine with that. They gave us a couple restaurant recommendations in Williams and a few coupons. Our room was fairly sizable (but with a pretty small bathroom), with lots of homey western touches and they provided free wifi, complimentary drinks, etc. Our one complaint was that the beds were too soft -- they swallow you up! There is also a cat that hangs around close to the rooms and tries to join you for the evening. Our homemade breakfast was delicious, including lacy pancakes and delectable patty sausages. They are very willing to accommodate allergies and tastes. Most valuable, however, were Sherry and Rod's travel suggestions. we ended up taking a different route and seeing different sights than we had planned to, all because of their knowledge and we were better for it! read more

We stayed at Trapper's for Spring Break 2017 and immediately fell in love. We arrived during a blizzard and Sherry called us to inform us of the driving conditions. They were so considerate and wanted to make sure that we arrived safe and sound. Once we arrived, Sherry and Rod were so welcoming and showed us to our room. It was such a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We have trouble finding rooms as we have 4 children, but it was not a problem at Trapper's. They made sure we had what we needed. The breakfast was amazing. I would absolutely recommend trappers rendezvous to anyone staying in Williams area. We stayed in the squash blossom suite for three nights. If you need a place to stay in Williams, AZ, look no further than Trapper's Rendezvous. We were greeted upon arrival by the mangers Emily and Matthieu, who were so kind, warm, and welcoming. They took the time to explain "the ranch" (as we called it), to us, parking, the room, and also about breakfast in the morning. They also ensured no one in the group had any food allergies. We later met another family staying at Trapper's who had food allergies, and Emily and Matthieu went above and beyond to provide a delicious, filling, and food allergy friendly meal. We also saw them packing up breakfast for a couple whose children were still sleeping. While we were out of the room they came and straightened the room and replaced towels, etc. The room also provides booklets about the area, the Grand Canyon, and varies activities provided in the area. There is a small fridge in the room, and a dining area. The heater for the room works well, and keeps the entire room warm (we even woke up to a few inches of snow one morning!). There is a common area/ramada area in the center of the cabins, which has grills and picnic tables. There is also a fire pit with chairs, and s'mores ingredients are provided for the guests. In the main house there are plenty of reading books, games, and coloring books for entertainment. It's in a quiet location, with the kindest hosts, and clean rooms/facilities. Going to the Grand Canyon? I would strongly suggest you include the authentic western town of Williams on your trip. I'm writing this review as we drive away from one of the best Bed & Breakfast places we've been to this year! Innkeepers Sherry and Rod warmly welcomed us to their rustic 6 room bed and breakfast for a great three night stay on our visit to the Grand Canyon during Thanksgiving. You can tell the owners spared no expense in making the western-themed rooms comfortable and homey. I'm certain by next year we may not be able to reserve a room here unless we book way in advance! We truly felt at home here the minute we drove through the Ranch gates. We stayed in the Wild West room which was tastefully remodeled to also accommodate handicapped guests. My favorite room is Cataract Creek, facing the woodsy 2 acres at the back of the property. Sherry and Rod cooked up a hearty breakfast every morning and even rustled up Thanksgiving dinner, a thankful surprise! When you first meet Rod and Sherry and they greet you with a pleasant 'howdy pardners' you really know they mean it ...that right there will bring us back to Trapper 's Rendezvous...and we'll be bringin' friends! read more

Such a cute room with decor that sets the atmosphere for a back country Grand Canyon weekend. Our room was stocked with all the amenities plus extras that really add a personal touch. Our hosts helped us with local dinning recommendations and discounts. As well as standing by while we were stuck in horrendous traffic that delayed us over 4 hours - they made sure we got checked in safe and sound. Our second stay at Trapper's Rendezvous was as enjoyable as the first! We spent two nights at this western themed bed and breakfast during a trip to Williams for the Polar Express. Sherry and Rod are attentive hosts, make a delicious breakfast and always do a little something extra for our little girl. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. We stayed at Trappers for the first time this past weekend and if we could give more than 5 stars, we would. Wade and Mellisa (I hope I got the spelling right) were fantastic hosts and made us feel as if we were home for the entire stay. We have two children with special needs and they took the time to get to know them and make sure that both kids were accommodated to the fullest. The cabin itself was clean and very quiet. The property was amazing. We took the kids down across the creek and into the forest for a nice little hike. The first thing we did when we got home was to discuss when we will be coming back here. It's really a bad experience. I cannot imagine that everyone here is giving 5 stars to this place, not even a hotel or inn. They only had 4pm to 7pm, 3 hours for you to check in. They didn't put it clear that you have to arrive during this three hours. I arrived at 11pm at night and saw that they had a note saying you can call them outside of this three hours if you want to check in, but I tried to call them at least five times and no one answered. Later, they just just charged me 235 dollars full amount without any explanation or callback. When I tried to call back to them arguing about this, they had the excuse that they need to make the breakfast plan before 11pm to know who they can feed to. I don't see any relationship between this excuse and my check-in. Please respect your time and money. This is my real experience on just two days ago! read more

I made a two night reservation because of all of the positive reviews and this place did not disappoint! Being that it's away from downtown, it was what I wanted. TR is less than 5min's from downtown and the Polar Express, but it's so secluded. You have beautiful 360 degree views and great privacy. We reserved the Cataract Creek room. It was 100% perfect for a family of 4 and super clean! The ins keepers, Sherry and Rod, were so hospitable. They treated us like family. Having breakfast at the front office/house was wonderful, too! They cooked up a great breakfast each day. They were very kind to adhere to my wife's Celiac disease and already had plenty of gluten free foods available for her. Sherry and Rod went the extra mile on everything. They left a small gift for our kids and a special note appreciating us staying at their bed n breakfast. This is the only place I would stay/recommend when I visit Williams, Az. read more

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did! The room was very clean and was exactly as described. The breakfast food both mornings was simply amazing! The hosts were so kind and hospitable throughout our entire stay, from flowers in our room, to complimentary snacks and sodas, to loaning us a small cooler and blue ice for our day trip to the Grand Canyon. The rooms and atmosphere are simply spot on and as described on the website. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the homemade breakfast (especially the yogurt) was perfect! Absolutely fantastic! My hubby and I celebrated our anniversary in Williams and stayed in the Squash Blossom Suite at Trapper's Rendezvous. Can't say enough about how much our room surpassed our expectations! Beautiful, spacious, clean rustic room...felt right at home. Rod and Sherry were wonderful hosts. They really went above and beyond to make our stay special by adding personal touches to our room for our celebration. R & S also advised us on nearby activities since we're not familiar with the area and had a great time at Walnut Canyon. There is also great fishing and shopping nearby.
