If it hadn't been our last night we would have left. Besides a roach the floors aren't assembled correctly, the door has mold and doesn't fully shut, the bed is uncomfortable. The fridge barely works, food would get cold and thaw constantly. Seems like anytime we come there is new management/staff. There needs to be accountability from the owners and management for how horrible this hotel has gotten. I never expect a 5 star experience but to find so much mold, a roach and the fridge barely working is unacceptable. Management has obviously tried to cover up the disrepair of this place but it's not working because whatever shoddy paint job was applied is already showing the damage underneath. Paint is peeling, the ceiling has water stains. I guarantee this place is full of mold in the walls and ceiling. This hotel needs to be condemned.

I jumped up, turned on the light and it was a giant cockroach in my bed. I grabbed tissue and killed it. I attached pictures and a video. The worst part is the way it was handled. Michael, the front desk clerk, insisted there were no cockroaches in Flagstaff and he needed to see it for himself. I was not comfortable with a strange man coming in my room late at night. I am a female traveling solo and Michael knew that because he checked me in. I told him I was not dressed and it was late. I asked for a room Change and I was told no. He needed to inspect the room for insects because he didn't believe it was a cockroach. I even asked ChatGPT and she confirmed that was a cockroach and they are in Flagstaff. I had to tell him multiple times he is not coming in my room late at night to see a cockroach. I was told the only thing that I could do was email the manager and she wouldn't be in until Monday. This was a Saturday night. I emailed on Sunday and I got no response. I didn't sleep a wink all night. When I got the Hyatt review, I wrote up my terrible experience along with a few other bad experiences. What I got was a doubling down on the cockroach debate. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this disgusting hotel. I still can't shake the terrible feeling of both a cockroach in my bed and Michael's insistence on coming in my room late at night to "inspect".

Best of all, our entire stay here at the SpringHill Suites was free because I'm an elite member at Marriott, and I have a ton membership points to stay for free whenever I want. I love free stuff! A few days before our arrival, I reserved a hotel room here with two queen-sized beds for my daughter and me. Upon arrival, our hotel room met my expectations. I was very pleased with the level of cleanliness, comfort, quietness, safety, and value of our hotel room here. These five attributes are the most important ones for me when staying at any hotel. The SpringHill Suites is one of my favorite brands of hotel when I stay with Marriott. As is typical, they met all five of my primary expectations for any hotel, and they also offer free breakfast for their customers, as well as free coffee that is available 24/7. For this hotel in particular, I was extremely pleased with the level of friendliness and professionalism from the staff here, from the genuine and professional greeting upon my arrival to the sincere smiles I received from some members of the cleaning staff. We have stayed at 3 La Quintas in the last few weeks and 2 of them had elevators that didn't work. I am a long time La Quinta customer but now will not stay not only at La Quinta but also other Wyndham properties. Too many, if not all, are franchises and not corporately owned and managed. Wyndham seems to take no oversight responsibility for the properties and that's enough for me, as a gold rewards member and Wyndham credit card user to give them no more of my business.

I can no longer have just a bed and plop myself sitting up right in it to watch tv or enjoy a drink and perhaps a beverage. I need an actual chair with comfort. And Hampton Inn always provides that simple luxury. Pool & hot tub are indoors. And the hot tub is another main reason we booked this property. (Open from 8am-10pm). The hot tub did not disappoint. It's very warm, by the way. Thank goodness for the pool towels available. Make sure to wear slippers, as the pool deck can get slippery when wet. The hotel is pretty much at the far east end of the main street that runs through town -- which is actually part of Route 66. There is a "canyon coaster" park next door and you're walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Williams. This is a motel-style place that is an upscale version of the motels that you'd find in "the old days" along Route 66 in towns like Williams. You park in front of your room and there is a pool down by the hotel lobby, which also has a restaurant and an indoor gathering area. They have bicycles that you can borrow and many people were using the pool during our stay. The room was nice and well-appointed. Notably, the in-room coffee was much better than 90% of the places I have stayed in the US. It appears to be a special "Trailborn Blend" from Huckleberry Roasters and is packaged as an instant coffee rather than the goofy single-cup brewing that many hotels/motels have these days. The front desk and housekeeping staff were nice and helpful. We had a short stay and the only thing I really needed was more coffee. :D I would come back as an option on the way to the Grand Canyon, a visit to northern Arizona to get out of the Phoenix heat, or as a waypoint along Route 66.
