The Sat/cable box just hanging around

The staff at the desk very friendly and responsive. It is not their fault the management hires cheap contracting to repair/update things. This property is beat up. Mattresses broken down. For the price I expected better. The laminate floor was filthy. The lighting in the room terrible. The linens scratchy, thin and cheap. If you don't care about any of this then go for it. Not even going to try the continental breakfast.

Nice shower, but water damage on ceiling

This was recommended by a friend. If you sign-up for their program, you can get a better rate. In our case, the program was less than the savings, so it was a no-brainer. The breakfast is pretty spartan, but there is a breakfast burrito. Nothing to write home about, but better than cold cereal and toast. Location was not bad. No carpet in the rooms. Room was clean. There were signs of water damage in bathroom. Not horrible, but a sign that maintenance is not top-notch. For what it is, not bad. I would stay here again on my way to somewhere else, as was the case this trip. If I were going to stay several days, I'd probably choose something like a Residence Inn.

Clean, inexpensive, pet-friendly, free breakfast, and free Wifi (though it is not super strong). Great place to spend a night or two while you're in Flagstaff. I never stay in my room too much anyway so I don't want to waste money on an expensive hotel. Highly recommend this place for budget travelers who want someplace safe and clean.

Showerhead pressure

The check in was smooth, and the associate at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. As I passed the pool on my way to the room, I saw it was covered with a tarp. A short call to the front desk confirmed my disappointment, as it is down for maintenance. But it's summer!!! ...a cruel, cruel summer. The room is a little dated, but I did get a deal booking through Priceline. It's not great, but it's not horrible either. Most likely won't return. The backlit mirror in the bathroom makes you look good, providing you looked good to begin with. The toilet is one of those low riders you'd find in a KinderCare or Tutor Time. It's like having a Squatty Potty without having the Squatty Potty. The shower pressure was on the low end, but workable. Got a little annoyed that the shampoo was empty. True, I don't have hair on my head, but I do have it in other places... rude! I almost killed a fruit fly, but my reflexes were too slow. Then bae saw it crawling on the ceiling. Let's just say, she don't crawl no more. If you hear a "boing" at random times during the day or night, it's just the mini fridge. However, if your headboard's a creaking, you might be a freaking. That bad boy is like a seismograph, picking up every little movement. Thanks, room 228

Stains all over our sheets

Love hate relationship! Pros: - across the street from Walmart - hot water - free parking - location - they let us check out late Cons: - DIRTY sheets! - not enough parking? We had to park handicap one night because they "don't know why they don't have enough parking" - breakfast was over earlier than promised - 24 hour front desk Overall, it was an okay stay! The location is great and we felt safe the entire time. Did not like the dirty sheets.. and our feet would turn black after walking around for a few minutes

Really comfortable king bed. Nightstands have charging outlets

Lots of good points- let's do those first: Great location and easy to find, plenty of parking Comfortable bed and bright white linens Floor is wood laminate (much cleaner then carpet) Updated bathroom and sink area Room feels spacious Efforts to be green - soaps dispensers rather than single use containers Staff is helpful, but you can't call from this room! Close to shops Breakfast included Dogs are allowed Needs Improvement: Room phone doesn't work!!! Adjoining door to next unit doesn't lock- but got fixed Sidewalk to office is really tilted and uneven- watch out!! Barking Dogs are allowed Rooms have minimal insulation - stay upstairs if possible

Split floors

STAY AWAY!!!! STAY AWAY!!! My wife and I have no clue how this place is rated so high. If I could give it a zero I would. Please stay away from this place. It is nasty, and the health department needs to do something about it. We stayed here one (1) night. From the second we stepped through the door we were both in ahh! The first thing we noticed was the wood floors were separated in multiple spots. Then came the smell from the couch in the room. It smelled like dog pee. As we walk over to check out the beds and plug in our phones the outlets have what looks like water damage all over them. The bathroom just gets worse. Mildew all over the shower, block mold that was once painted over is now coming back through. Dust collected all over the bathroom fan. I couldn't wash enough to fell clean. The window lock doesn't even lock the window so there is no way to actually keep yourself safe. This place reminds me of a Motel!

Paint missing from front door

We stayed here as an over night adventure to get out of the heat of Tucson! Let me start off by saying the gal who checked us in was very friendly and polite. Because of the pandemic, the breakfast was not available, however she did offer us a sack breakfast with 3 different options. We each got the breakfast burrito, which was OK for free. The room itself was pretty decent, until I noticed a stain on the sheets!! Gross!!! This just put a damper on the whole room. Also, the remote didn't work unless you were right up close to the TV. And, the toilet paper was so paper thin it came apart when you pulled it off the roller. There was also paint chipped off of the front door as you walk in. I think I would rather do a little more research next time we come to Fl

We decided to complete our spontaneous journey by booking a hotel once we arrived in Flagstaff. We decided to book at Hotel Elev8 as it offered great amenities at an acceptable price point. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. When we went to our room, we entered through a side entrance as recommended by the front desk staff. From the main hallway- I was a bit surprised by an abundance of maid carts and extension cords for the vacuums strung out all over the floor. I saw this as a major liability of a guest were to trip over a cord. The hotel does not have an elevator, which could pose an issue for some guests. This did not bother us though. Our room was clean, and updated. I was very impressed by how nice of a room it was considering the low price we paid. I loved that there was a 24 hour gym, sauna, large hot tub and pool on the property. All in all, I feel that this hotel was well worth it for the price. We would definitely book another room here in the future.

The front desk check in worker, Tessa should be fired for her unprofessional lack of hospitality…read moreskills. We had booked a non refundable room 2 weeks in advance through Booking.Com and had specifically requested confirmation that the pool was functioning before booking. The representative put us on hold and then confirmed pool was operational. We showed up at Elev8 shortly before 1pm and Tessa said there would be a $30 early check in fee for the 2 hours. We declined the fee and said we'd wait in parking lot for 2 hours. Next she told us that pool was NOT functioning- more disappointment. She said she'd place us in a room far from the freeway traffic and to come back at 3 pm. My Asian wife went back to office at 3pm and Tessa refused to give her the non refundable room despite telling us to come back at 3pm. Never in our life's have we ever been turned away or had such a miserable experience. Personally, I think Tessa is a racist and I would discourage anyone from staying at this facility. She clearly has ZERO customer service skills and does not belong in the Hospitality industry. Please stay away from this facility- it's overpriced anyway and there are much better deals in the area. Hopefully the Management will fire Tessa for her racist and unprofessional behavior.

Yes, there is a utility surcharge fee 7.77 per night regardless of where you book, but after taxes and fees, it was still less than $100! This is a solid choice if you don't plan on spending your time at the inn. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean (even though it had the scent of yesteryear), the employees I interacted with were all helpful, the parking was ample, and yes... you can walk across the parking lot to Porky's to grab a pitcher. There's also a gas station mini mart that's close. And yes, there are a few not so glamorous aspects of staying here. The walls are thin, and you'll hear every loudmouth in the hallway, as well as every footstep of the behemoths staying above you. The shower pressure could be considered in the "spittle" family. The jacuzzi is located inside a small building to the back of the pool, and elicits smells of those childhood days spent at the YMCA. The pool is pretty nice if you find yourself there alone... but don't get too comfy, because a large troupe of teenagers with awkward social skills is heading your way. And so is that creepy old man who stares at you with a towel draped over his head, as if that really conceals his disturbingly unending gaze. And don't forget that young boy, who loves repeatedly jumping into the shallow end, with a splash that never seems to miss hitting you, where ever you may be. No Pets Allowed. Smoke free property

Blue, the front desk associate, has some of the worst communication skills I've seen in customer…read moreservice. He is extremely hostile and quick to raise his voice to yell at customers. He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

I don't drive in the dark and despite being only 4 hours from the end of the drive back from Chicago, I had to throw in the towel. We travel (always) with one or both of our meows, so motel 6 is our go-to overnight. The front desk was kind of bizarre: "this is not a problem but for you because you are a good man? We will fix it!"--there was a serious issue with the room and we were just about to give up on getting it resolved (and leave)--but then maintenance arrived: an absolute hero named Jose. He scoped out the problem and quickly found a solution. Yay Jose! The room is a standard motel 6 room. Same slightly sketchy coverlets. Decent desk with wi-fi. Microwave and refrigerator. But this location? It has Jose! Five stars for him. Let me add, as I wake up and get back on the road, that this turned out to be a quiet and comfortable overnight.
