After booking online we stopped in to check in and was charged a fifty dollar cash deposit. Next morning around 6am turning in key to kiosk in lobby waiting for someone to come to desk. A man appeared on kiosk and said he needed to get someone to inspect the room before we get deposit back. Waiting nearly 30 plus minutes. A half asleep man looked on room and left. I told him I took pictures also, he didn't even bother to close the door. I told him door was open. Back in lobby hubby was waiting for deposit. The screen man says after 7 when front desk get there. We needed to get on road. Finally he's letting us get our cash deposit back. Never again will we stop here again. Over 45 years motel 6 is always our choice. Upon arrival we were sent to a room where everything was broken. The fride didn't work and the microwave had chunks of old dried food caked on the inside and on the tray. This was two items they charged an extra $50 for. The "fan" was supposed to cool the room after 30 minutes but blew hot air out no matter what setting. This demonstrated lack of any oversight or care that a room in such deplorable conditions was even offered to a paying guest. I demanded my money back or that they make it right. We paid for a 6 night stay. The next room they moved us to was much better. The microwave was clean and the fridge worked. Turned on the "fan" and the room cooled to near freezing. We stayed our 6 nights. I believe this place has a long term stay area were there are sketchy people that I see holding signs on street corners. And I firmly believe they have substandard conditions there because they claimed their air conditioning was broken. Maybe in that one building but no fan will ever cool a room to near freezing. That's air conditioning. I believe they have a guest section where everything works and then a long term stay where they could care less that anything works. The location is convenient to a highway, Walmart, fast food and restaurants. Parking is plentiful. After a certain time you must speak to a kiosk with someone on video as the front desk is installed. read more

We had stayed at the Motel 6 in 2021 and it was a nice clean Motel 6. What we were used to expecting. So when we had to travel to Flagstaff again for some appointments at the end of Feb this year, we figured things would be same. We had booked through Priceline a queen room in a smoking room as we vape. When we checked in, the woman was very nice and check in was fine. Our room however was not good. It was 2 double beds. One of the lights didn't work. The lights that did work had two different light shades. There was something very sticky dropped on the floor that hot water couldn't even get off the floor. One of the lamp shades was broken. The TV got maybe 10 tv channels. There was a dirty crusty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain bar. The beds were pretty hard. The biggest downfall of the room was how hot the room was. When we checked in, it was really warm, so we pushed the ancient (falling off the wall) thermostat all the way to cool and turned on the fan. Instead of cooling the room, it got to over 90 degrees. We woke up at 4 am dying in the heat. We had to open the door and let the cold air in to cool off the room. We were not able to sleep after. At checkout, you don't actually check out with a real person, it's a kiosk with someone across the world. It is so impersonation. I believe since Motel 6 has been acquired by Oyo, they have gone downhill. Also, look into the air vent. Ours shows the filter had not been changed since November 2024. read more

We stayed here since we were traveling with our a foster dog we had just picked up. Dogs are always welcome and stay free. This Motel 6 was clean and our room had a mini refrigerator and microwave. They did have coffee in the lobby in the morning. Do not stay here. This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have stayed at since a nightmare stay in NYC almost 15 years ago. TLDR: Cockroaches, bed bugs, filthy. I'm traveling solo with a large dog on a very long road trip. Motel 6 doesn't charge for dogs, so it has become my go-to on this trip so far. Upon opening the door to my room, there was a cockroach, still alive, on its back, on the surface of the counter nearest the door. I had just driven from Roswell and was exhausted so I got rid of it, but I was already on edge for fear of more. We all know there are always more. Then, I walked my dog around the property which is set-up like a square with rooms on the exterior and interior. There was more dog poop and trash, including rotting food, around the grounds than I have ever seen other than in very poorly maintained pockets of gross downtown areas of big cities. No wonder there are cockroaches! That's an ideal environment. The room itself was also disgusting. There were holes in the curtains, black marks on the walls, gravel from outside embedded in crevices in the floor, and the floor itself was filthy. I took the top sheet off the bed and put it on the floor to avoid touching the ground. The rumors of bed bugs are indeed true. I woke up around 2:30am to pee and my arm was itchy. Lo and behold, a bite. I was wearing a hoodie to sleep as the ancient heater was so loud. I wore the same hoodie driving today, and now I have 2 more bites. I am on a long road trip. I bring my own pillows (hotel pillows are terrible). So now my clothing and pillows are carrying bed bugs. Shame on this motel 6 location. My skin has been crawling all day and now I have to deal with the fact that my car, my clothes, and my pillows have bed bugs from your filthy hotel in them which is the last thing I need to deal with. Almost forgot - the WiFi was so weak that I could not actually use it so I had to use the hotspot from my phone to both complete some important documents for my move, and to book my next hotel in Barstow. Entire left side of room was not working. The TV, the outlets, the AC heating unit and light were all not working. They said they had no maintenance person after 4 PM to check the breaker. Showerhead was pathetic, gap in the door and extremely thin windows with no screens made it impossible to get any sleep. Employees back-and-forth in front of the rooms talking so loudly that it was completely annoying. They also refused any compensation for the basic facilities not working in the room. Unfortunately, the bed is raised off the floor and my cats hid under the bed because they didn't want to get in their pet carriers on departure day. So, I had to flip the bed upright to get to them. Motel 6 Butler Rd offers "premium mcfridge room" online. When I called the person said it was a larger room. This location offers for a higer price ONLINE yet they do not have this room size anywhere. I paid for a larger room with fridge/microwave & was given a standard room w/o. They only have a live person 4hrs daily. Everything is done on a teleprompter kiosk. The live person said "you misunderstand" about EVERYTHING! That even though I had made a reservation for my premium room 2wks before arriving... that it was my fault for not calling at least 3hrs before I arrived to actually get what I had reserved. I actually had called apprx 5hrs in advance to say that we would be a late arrival, I was spoke to as if I was an annoyance & hung up on. The woman said that I complained at 9:30am. I complained about my room overcharge at 11pm the night before. At first she said that she didn't know, then it changed to her challenging me that she did know. However, she didn't even know my room number! The wifi is HORRIBLE, we used the McDonald's wifi from next door when it showed as available. They ran out of coffee 1/2 hr after it was available. They ran out of towels in the cupboard. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone. The location is fine. Just don't make reservations for anything specific that costs more = you will only pay more for the standard room & it will all be your fault because the front desk blames the customers. I really didn't want to stay here, my husband was being cheap. There's a great dog very friendly place on route 66 that I wanted to stay at. I'm never listening to what my husband wants again! I went to my bank = I was overcharged $73 for the 3 nights. Oh & beds are not comfortable a 3 out of 10... pillows are a 1 out of 10. I always enjoy staying at motel 6's and have stayed at this located several times when in flagstaff. This time around however was not it. They have a kiosk now with a live person, yet there was a literal office employee in the front desk. There was a language barrier and the machine would go mute as the person was talking. When requesting a bottom floor room they said they couldn't change what the computer had already provided. When coming into the room you're greeted by old bed sheets with stains and dried debris. We stayed at this motel six in Flagstaff May 23rd 2026. They are pet friendly. We didn't have to have an extra deposit for our two little tiny dogs. I was afraid to touch the walls. They were so filthy. I slept in my clothes because there were spots on my sheets. In our travels across the United States and then up north, we stated quite at few different motels hotel motels. We paid $200 for that one night. I wouldn't even use the shower. it was so gross.. It was very evident that they let people live there because of a barbecue by the parking lot and children's toys scattered about. We stayed there because Cracker Barrel was right by there. We didn't even feel safe walking over to Cracker Barrel. Needless to say we left very early the next morning. The bathroom was dirty, looked there was dried phlegm on the inside of the tub, there was a dirt ring. The beds were awful, springy and thin. The linens looked dirty on the bed, the a/c did not work at all, its 45 degrees out and its literally 85 degrees inside the room. We couldn't even stay the whole night. My non smoking room, clearly had been smoked in, the mini fridge was falling apart and had drug stickers all over it. The bathroom door did not latch, front door barely latched and locked,the mattress had bed bug encasement on it ( the pic is not of the mattress pad, that's the encasement ) . The furniture speaks for itself, none of it was not destroyed. Linens were dirty. Bathroom faucet barely worked, as the shower. Bath vent sounded like an aircraft. Check in the person was obnoxious, as was check out. Nothing about this place was good, not a good impression of someone wanting to enjoy Fag ans spend their money in the town. We stayed here for the night before driving down to Scottsdale. First of all, Jennifer was super nice, she deserves 5 stars, the motel is a different story. I've never stayed at a motel before, but now I get why it was only $55 and no pet fee. The rooms are small, the floors were gross, bathroom gross, no shampoo or any other toiletries, it just looks like a place that thousands of people have gone through. Ended up just sleeping on top of the blankets, wearing what we wore that day, didn't even want to take a chance with the shower lol. Our room didn't have a fridge, any sort of storage, the heat worked, it wa a little jank but glad it worked. Outside looked a little sketch, but was thoroughly surprised that by car didn't get broken into lol. Besides that, if you need a quick cheap place to stay, this is it! Room is VERY small, but clean. Staff are very friendly and courteous. One major drawback is that the flooring on the second floor is wood or vynil so there is quite a bit of noise when they walk around in the room above you. But for the money, it's fair. Wifi was ok, and no pet fee :-) read more

Motel 6 are dumps but cheap. This hotel has a base rate posted on the door of $199. We laughed our heads off. We paid 90 and it was 80 too much. TV dd not work and the towels were stained black. No housekeeping unless you stay for 7 days. Waaaaa??????? 2 small soaps that did not work. Literally no lather. Towels that were the size of face cloths. The bed was kind of comfy though but black dots in sheets that I think were just dust pieces or dirt. We will pray they were not bed bugs. It did have a good heat with a central unit not a wall unit like many northern AZ motels do. It was very cold outside so that was good. Noisy barking huge dog next door to us. Sigh. Coffee in lobby no pot in room. Steep fall/ step from and to get in shower we both slipped and fell. My friend will be writing to corp/owner to ask for a partial refund. He was mad about the TV. I expect bad so shrugged it off but 90 bucks is a total joke. I have stayed in resorts for less with my discount programs and most Motel 6's in AZ are less tan 50/60 a night. There are lots of options on these few corners of the nearby main travel crossroads so try elsewhere. For starters the same man owns all Motel 6 motels in Flagstaff and he's a cockroach of a person. We were homeless and were staying while we fixed up our RV. He waited then had us forcefully removed after we paid for a new week, he never returned it, and used a false police report to remove and trespass us from his hotel. The RV has been sitting ever since. He is now attempting to sell it for $500. Selling property that he causes to be abandoned and a week of hotel stay on top. Finally, the rooms. His hotels are disgusting. Dirt, hair and dust in the AC/heater if it even works, burnt out lights, black mold in the shower and windows. Holes in the sheets and they were never washed. I would give this Motel 6 six stars if I could. I don't understand the bad reviews, you are staying at a budget friendly, pet friendly motel- not a hotel downtown. When you leave reviews, you should consider where you are reviewing and compare to similar places. The room was CLEAN- no pet hair or smell anywhere. The beds were as comfortable as you would expect and we enjoyed ourselves. There are no frills here, no in-room coffee pot, no shampoo or conditioner, no daily housekeeping service. They offer coffee in the office, everyone should travel with toiletries when able and when you leave a dog in your room while you run to a restaurant, you are glad no one is opening your door. If you set your trash outside your door, the housekeepers will come and take it for you, or there's a dumpster at the back of the building if you're walking your dog and just want to take it yourself. Harry, at the front desk, is the person we dealt with the most. What an awesome guy! Extra towels? Of course! Forgot your key for the THIRD time? Let me make you a new one! Quarters for the (really clean) laundry? Just tell me how much you need! We stayed here a week and couldn't have had a better experience. People were stranded begging for help looking for accommodation for emergency sleep like ourselves and we called every hotel in the area looking for shelter for our family. We had a 1 year old with us and found a few rooms left close to us. One being this motel 6. Regular price $91 and during a winter storm while people are sleeping in their cars they wanted to charge $1014. Request handicap, receive 2nd floor. Call front desk repeatedly for help, no response. I finally had to run down to the office in my bare feet because the second floor bathroom was overflowing and my calls for help (a plunger?? Some towels??) were going unanswered. I was handed a few rags and a plunger after I'd already used all of my bath towels on the spill. Yes, excellent. That will clean up a few splashes. When I insisted I needed more towels, he handed me a few more rags and told me when I brought back the plunger he would replace my bath towels. I brought back *all* of my soaking towels, washcloths included. I was handed two bath towels. He mocked my bare feet. Sir, I have food waiting and I have been on the road for two days straight with a child and a geriatric dog. I will literally fight you. I ran down here because there was a literal flood in my bathroom and I was worried about the people below me. 0/10 this is actually the WORST motel 6 I've ever stayed at and I've actually lived in a Motel 6 in San Diego before. Didn't smell like dogs or pee even though it's pet friendly. The room did not come with shampoo or anything like that, so bring your own. Also, I specifically stopped here because the radio ad mentioned that pets stay free, the sign out front says pets stay free, and the website says it, but when I got to the front office to check in, they charged me $25 when they saw that I had my dog with me. If I hadn't been driving for 11 hours with a dog and a baby already, I would have just left, but I really didn't want to load everyone back up. Yeah, it was just $25, but c'mon, man.
