Do not stay here. This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have stayed at since a nightmare stay in NYC almost 15 years ago. TLDR: Cockroaches, bed bugs, filthy. I'm traveling solo with a large dog on a very long road trip. Motel 6 doesn't charge for dogs, so it has become my go-to on this trip so far. Upon opening the door to my room, there was a cockroach, still alive, on its back, on the surface of the counter nearest the door. I had just driven from Roswell and was exhausted so I got rid of it, but I was already on edge for fear of more. We all know there are always more. Then, I walked my dog around the property which is set-up like a square with rooms on the exterior and interior. There was more dog poop and trash, including rotting food, around the grounds than I have ever seen other than in very poorly maintained pockets of gross downtown areas of big cities. No wonder there are cockroaches! That's an ideal environment. The room itself was also disgusting. There were holes in the curtains, black marks on the walls, gravel from outside embedded in crevices in the floor, and the floor itself was filthy. I took the top sheet off the bed and put it on the floor to avoid touching the ground. The rumors of bed bugs are indeed true. I woke up around 2:30am to pee and my arm was itchy. Lo and behold, a bite. I was wearing a hoodie to sleep as the ancient heater was so loud. I wore the same hoodie driving today, and now I have 2 more bites. I am on a long road trip. I bring my own pillows (hotel pillows are terrible). So now my clothing and pillows are carrying bed bugs. Shame on this motel 6 location. My skin has been crawling all day and now I have to deal with the fact that my car, my clothes, and my pillows have bed bugs from your filthy hotel in them which is the last thing I need to deal with. Almost forgot - the WiFi was so weak that I could not actually use it so I had to use the hotspot from my phone to both complete some important documents for my move, and to book my next hotel in Barstow. Can a place fail any harder?

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Urine on the floors and toilet seat along with pubic hair went to use the phone which the cord wasn't hooked to it so I pulled out the stand and totally disgusting. Checked my bed and mind you I'm exhausted from a long drive and just wanted to sleep but there was hair in my bed with white flakey shit. DISGUSTING HIDEOUS AND GROSS

Room did not come with coffee maker, fridge and microwave as the website says. Went to the office and clerk took about 25 minutes to check in the people in front of me. Even going so far as to start taking about history. This is with three people waiting. He them answered the phone on speaker and caller wanted a room. Clerk said $280.00. For a motel 6???? Caller said your site says $150. Clerk then said book on line and hung up. This was Saturday 12/27. Does not Look like the photos. And no assessability accommodations especially in the bathroom.

The room was totally filthy. Boogers on the walls. Lights falling off the wall. Toilet paper shoved in holes where there should have been screws. Tape holding the batteries in on the remote. There was a people making a drug deal in the parking lot. On top of that, the staff was rude as hell to everyone who walked into the lobby. Don't go there!

Sink with dirty stains those aren't scratches.

I always enjoy staying at motel 6's and have stayed at this located several times when in flagstaff. This time around however was not it. They have a kiosk now with a live person, yet there was a literal office employee in the front desk. There was a language barrier and the machine would go mute as the person was talking. When requesting a bottom floor room they said they couldn't change what the computer had already provided. When coming into the room you're greeted by old bed sheets with stains and dried debris. The sink or bathtub had obviously not been cleaned and it looked like a bar of soap was left from the previous guests. Yuck won't be coming back here!

My experience was terrible. I booked a room for one night while traveling to New Mexico with my 2-year-old daughter. The room was extremely dirty, and I would not recommend staying here at all. To make matters worse, it cost $200 for the night. I wouldn't mind paying that price if the place had been clean, but I was really disappointed with the overall cleanliness.

Price gouging during a storm. Do not stay here!
    Brian M.

There is a winter storm impacting the area tonight and Motel 6 is suddenly charging over $900 for the night on hotels.com. This is a run down Motel 6... not a 5* resort! Hotel Aspen is doing the exact same thing tonight. Price gouging folks in need of a room due to closed roads. This is unacceptable. Avoid this dump!

Yes, there is a utility surcharge fee 7.77 per night regardless of where you book, but after taxes and fees, it was still less than $100! This is a solid choice if you don't plan on spending your time at the inn. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean (even though it had the scent of yesteryear), the employees I interacted with were all helpful, the parking was ample, and yes... you can walk across the parking lot to Porky's to grab a pitcher. There's also a gas station mini mart that's close. And yes, there are a few not so glamorous aspects of staying here. The walls are thin, and you'll hear every loudmouth in the hallway, as well as every footstep of the behemoths staying above you. The shower pressure could be considered in the "spittle" family. The jacuzzi is located inside a small building to the back of the pool, and elicits smells of those childhood days spent at the YMCA. The pool is pretty nice if you find yourself there alone... but don't get too comfy, because a large troupe of teenagers with awkward social skills is heading your way. And so is that creepy old man who stares at you with a towel draped over his head, as if that really conceals his disturbingly unending gaze. And don't forget that young boy, who loves repeatedly jumping into the shallow end, with a splash that never seems to miss hitting you, where ever you may be. No Pets Allowed. Smoke free property

Blue, the front desk associate, has some of the worst communication skills I've seen in customer…read moreservice. He is extremely hostile and quick to raise his voice to yell at customers. He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

The staff when I arrived was nice and welcoming. Lee was working and she's absolutely wonderful. This being said- I switched rooms three times within the first 10 minutes. First room was cleanish but smelled of smoke and although it's listed as smoke free- the room next to it was cracked a foot and there was a man smoking in his doorway. The second rooms beds were made but the bedding was unusually wrinkled, I pulled both back and there was body fluids and tons of hair all over the sheets. The third room that we actually stayed in under the repeated phrase of "it's just one night and we don't have to shower", the linens were clean but it was gross. Phone had dirt all over it and was sticky, there was crumbs all over the floor (didn't realize it until I took my socks off and walked to the bathroom and then we put shoes on anytime we walked on the floors afterwards), there is dirt build up everywhere and in every nook and cranny of the room, it looks like at one point they painted or resealed bathtubs and they are all peeling, there is stuff wiped all over the walls, the elevator/stairs/everywhere that's a common area is gross. The people diagonal under us were outside drinking and being loud until at least 2am. Never again. I already cancelled our two upcoming reservations we had there.

We packed our bags and headed up to Flagstaff for some reprieve. A little nervous taking our 2 year old but based on the reviews, we took a chance. I'm beyond grateful we did. Our hotel room was exactly what we needed, two beds, plenty of space, updated, mini fridge, mini microwave, bathtub to bathe little, super comfy beds and blackout shades to get some well deserved rest (if you have kids - you know). We only checked out the restaurant for breakfast and it was okay - nothing amazing but also not bad. The waitstaff were very pleasant and timely. The amenities are what really stole the show. The park was actually perfect for our toddler to run around, get dirty and make some new friends. It's well designed to accommodate kids of all ages and actually entertained me as mom too. We met plenty of other parents there with their littles which made it that much better. We planned to check out the pool but our son was on explorer mode so the trails, basketball court and park took up his time. The only downside to our stay, was that our bathtub drain was clogged so our showers were so fun with standing water up to our ankles. We did call a few times but no one ever came to fix it (maintenance was tied up with the pool I later heard and it was a holiday weekend so maybe they were short staffed). I called and spoke with the front desk who offered us a comp toward our bill for the inconvenience which was appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and plan to return in the winter for their Christmas festivities.

My overall rating for Little America Hotel Flagstaff is 3 stars…read more I want to start by saying that overall, many of the staff were kind, and I've stayed at this property multiple times before with good experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are amazing, and the views of the Coconino Forest are beautiful. I also really enjoy the heated pool, the walking trails, and how convenient the location is to nearby stores, gas stations, food, and the highway. However, this stay started off on a rough note during check-in and unfortunately impacted my overall experience. When I approached the front desk, the representative (I believe his name was Hudson) had just been warm and friendly with the guests ahead of me. But when it was my turn, his entire demeanor shifted. I greeted him politely, introduced myself, and asked how he was doing--he didn't acknowledge my greeting at all. He became very robotic, avoided eye contact, and rushed through the process in a way that felt uncomfortable and dismissive. The interaction continued to feel tense. He spoke quickly, made assumptions about my payment method, and presented documents to sign without explanation or engagement. The only time he made eye contact was when emphasizing rules about no smoking and no pets. I had previously called to confirm that I could bring my cat, who is an emotional support animal, and was told that would be allowed with documentation. When I explained this, he became agitated and insisted I must have spoken to a third party, implying the information I received wasn't valid. After requesting a manager, the situation shifted, and I was eventually allowed to proceed with a one-time fee instead of a nightly charge. However, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. What made this experience more concerning was something I observed after checking in. When I connected to the TV system, I noticed that one of the device names visible on the network included a racial slur. Guests do not have the ability to rename these TVs--they are pre-programmed--so this is something that had to come from within the organization. That was extremely upsetting and unacceptable to see in a professional environment. It's 2026, and people are still out here using racial slurs, spreading hate instead of love and kindness. I'm not interested in being in environments that feel stuck in the past. I want to be around warm, welcoming, modern people who choose unity over division. This is the main reason I cannot rate this stay higher. While I understand that not everyone reflects this behavior, it raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability. Management should be more attentive to what is happening within their establishment, especially when it comes to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all guests. It's disappointing because I've enjoyed staying here in the past. However, based on this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning and will choose to spend my money elsewhere moving forward.
