This was absolutely mind blowing incredible (and dog-friendly) experience! The tent was very nice and clean and the view is spectacular. You're surrounded by 360° forest/nature and there's something to be amazed at any time of day. The weather was amazing but in case it's not ideal for you, the tents have AC/heating. The gourmet food was incredible and made to order and very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Every staff member we met was extremely kind and helpful. The chickens were not very helpful but very adorable! Weather permitting, they have nightly s'mores campfires, but the sky absolutely steals the show. Being from a large city, I see pictures of starry night skies online and go uh huh, sure, these are probably enhanced, but wow, nature really puts on a spectacular show and it is humbling to experience! The staff was so awesome, pointing out constellations and bringing out their telescope. Morning at sunrise is equally visually stunning. We woke up to watching the sun turn the sky pink against the tree line and even saw a herd of elk! Breakfast was great with excellent offerings and walking and kayaking after was a nice way to round out our stay. Thanks so much to everyone at Backland for making this an unforgettable adventure! Note: It's advised to bring a vehicle that can handle uneven/unpaved road. They will send you info for navigation, which includes downloading an audio tour that will guide you to the specific area (since Google Maps will direct you elsewhere).

@travelbackland Eco Resort is glamping at its finest, nestled amidst the ponderosa pine forests in Williams, AZ. Luxurious Escape in Nature: The spacious canvas tent suites have panoramic windows. King-sized beds ensure a comfortable night's sleep under the starlit sky. Amenities include en-suite bathroom, climate control, seating and a mini-fridge. Backland Amenities: We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit with complimentary s'mores in the evenings, kayaking on the serene lake, nature walks, board games in the lobby, and dinners at the on-site restaurant. Each night we stargazed via the property's telescope. A spa tent is also on site. Dining Options: Complimentary continental breakfast. Boxed lunches were available for order including sandwiches and wraps. Dinners in the glass-walled restaurant featured items such as shrimp fettuccine alfredo, elote fritters, basil agave chicken salad, bison burgers and grilled trout. Grand Canyon Day Trip: Backland is located about an hour from the south rim. Witnessing the awe-inspiring natural wonder was simply unforgettable. Picnic Amongst the Past: Backland provided a delicious boxed lunch, perfect for our next adventure - Keyhole Sink. This unique geological formation offered a stunning backdrop for a picnic, surrounded by ancient petroglyphs from the Cohonina, who lived in the area from AD 700 to AD 1100. Sycamore Canyon Adventure: After lunch, we embarked on a Journey to Sycamore Canyon. The colorful cliffs were a photographer's paradise, located about 35 min from Backland. Sustainable Luxury: What truly impressed me was Backland's commitment to eco-friendly practices. From their energy-efficient tents with ecological toiletries and water conservation fixtures, to their focus on local ingredients, biodegradable plates and cups as well as composting and recycling. Overall, it's the perfect getaway in nature offering an experience that redefines the concept of glamping.

This was our first experience glamping and it certainly set a high standard! We only stayed for less than 24 hours and as we were leaving, we all were thinking the same thing, that we should've stayed longer. With each reservation, they give very clear directions through a podcast. The app you download has GPS tracking and it'll give the next set of directions based on your location. If you arrive unprepared, you'll most likely get lost because our reception was pretty spotty. We checked into our site (there's a total of 10) and immediately began to explore the area. Right by the lobby, there's a small lake and the kayaks and paddleboards were free to be used. There's also a chest with frisbees, various sports balls, etc. The lobby has fishing rods but from what I heard, there's barely any fish...they have plans to bring in bigger ones in the future! At night, they gave all the glampers their own smores kit and even set up a telescope to look at the moon. Since we were pretty far from civilization, you could easily see constellations and faint glimpses of the Milky Way. As for the actual glamp site, we had a large one that fit two beds, a sofa bed, and a rollout bed. There was still more than enough room for a small coffee table and floor space for all of our luggage. The bathroom was spacious and plenty of hot water for the showers. The only downside is that the bathroom space isn't fully enclosed so everyone hears everything in the bathroom. They're all fitted with a mini-split AC that kept our room at a bearable temperature. There is a fridge but it's tiny so don't expect to store much. Highly recommend if you're able to spend a couple of days here! We didn't get a chance to hike around the area and I think you can even go horseback riding. It's a nice break from setting everything up to having everything set up by someone else.

Backland gets to be one of the top destinations in the US. This place is magical The trek in is about 30 minutes and there is an audio they provide so you won't get lost. It feels like you may be lost but enjoy the beautiful scenery and view. It's incredible! Once you get to the compound, the layout of the land is really cool. We ended up in #1 which was the only open reservation and it's also Ada compliant. The rooms are fun and equipped with stylish and quality furniture. The layout is straightforward and functional with a spectacular view. Everything is thoughtfully and carefully designed/chosen. Dinner reservation must be made as the food is made to order with freshest of ingredients. The lobby/cafeteria is a cute building right next to the lake and common area. The view again is spectacular!!! The food is the kicker here.... Every bite of food I put into my mouth was heavenly. This is no ordinary cook in the kitchen. The flavors are so sophisticated and purposeful, and the ingredients are good stuff. We have tried the charcuterie board, radicchio salad, cano salad, arugula salad, mole steak (twice), burger, and the cookie + vanilla bean Ice cream in the cast iron. Everything was yummy!!!! The last day, it ended up snowing out of nowhere but it really added to the trip and made it so special. So special that we ended up getting engaged here at Backland Glamping in Williams, Arizona! We look forward to visiting again soon!

Loved our stay at Backland! And loved that it is doggie friendly. The staff is friendly and professional. Chase is really helpful and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. We definitely recommend staying here if you need a getaway in nature away from the hustle and bustle of daily work life . Just know that Wi-Fi is not great inside the tents but we did not mind disconnecting for a bit and truly relaxing. We will definitely be back again.

I had the bison burger which is served with smoked Gouda & roasted red peppers on a fresh baked whole wheal roll. All I can say is I've been ruined for every other hamburger now for the rest of my life. Our server was perfectly attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. The owner stopped by & answered all our questions about their plans for the health spa that is almost complete. From check-in to check-out, the staff was consistently friendly and welcoming. The property has such a fun glamping vibe--cozy domes with the essentials (comfortable bed, AC/heater, and a skylight you can open for stargazing at night). It's a perfect spot if you're visiting nearby areas like the Grand Canyon National Park or Sedona. There's always something going on here. In the evenings, they offer activities, movies, and even s'mores kits by the fire, which was such a nice touch. They also have a food truck (I heard great things, just didn't get to try it), a bar, and a dining dome where you can relax and eat. During the day, they offer things like yoga and stargazing experiences. There are also fun extras like a giant chess set and little activity areas, which makes it great for groups or families. Special shoutout to the staff--Williams was incredibly helpful when we had an issue with our dome code and made sure we were taken care of right away. And the bartender (I believe his name was Xavier) was awesome--he even gave me a complimentary birthday drink, which made my stay extra special. They also make things super convenient with golf cart rides and help with luggage during check-in. Only minor notes: the mini fridge is very small (more of a true mini than a dorm fridge), and our kettle didn't work--but that's on us for forgetting to mention it during the stay. Overall, such a cute, unique, and memorable place to stay. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Worth every penny. I love the open glass windows and the rooftop where you can stars gazed. I love the sense of being with nature from your own room. Luxurious linens and comfortable bed was a big win for me as I am a very sensitive sleeper. The attention to details and ensure your level of comfort are thoughtful, The all inclusive non alcoholic beverages and snacks in the room was a plus. Beautiful spa, small but again the most gorgeous interior design for the treatment room I have everseen. The spa locker room is a bit strange with a toilet inside without an enclosure. They only have one sauna outside and no shower unless you arrange with the desk. I also tried the oxygen bath...not exactly sure what it did except to feel like just soak in a bath tub :) my therapist was nice but feel green, she did her job and check in for pressure but didn't really deliver and addressed my issue. I was very tired from my early morning hike and felt asleep yet my awareness I know my massage felt like it was rubbing oil or a lotion application instead of a true therapeutic works. The restaurant could use some improvement with their cooking techniques as the food was just mediocre, lack of balance, flavor and strakbwas overcooked. I would leave the property for other food options on my next stay. Breakfast was fine, not a wowzer but it came with the stay so we are it, dinner were somewhat disappointed. Regardless we enjoyed our stay, LOVE and appreciate how attentive the guest services team are, and everyone delivered an above and beyond 5 star service and well run establishment. The cute little boutique shop in the lobby also carried and well thought out selection of products and branded merchandises. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Our stay at L'Auberge de Sedona ended up being one of those rare trips where everything just…read more.. works. We had extended family in town, so we booked the Creekhouse, and that was the right call. Space was the biggest concern going in, and it handled that easily. Everyone had room to spread out, no one felt like they were on top of each other, and somehow it still felt cozy instead of oversized and impersonal. You could have a quiet moment with coffee in the morning or have everyone gathered together at night without it feeling cramped. The setting is what really stays with you though. Being right along Oak Creek changes the whole pace of the trip. You hear the water constantly, not in a distracting way, more like background white noise that makes everything feel calmer. Mornings out there hit different. Coffee in hand, cool air, that soft sound of the creek moving past you. It slows you down whether you want it to or not. Inside, the Creekhouse felt well thought out. Comfortable beds, plenty of seating, and those little details that make a place feel taken care of rather than just turned over for the next guest. It wasn't flashy for the sake of being flashy. It felt intentional. Service across the property was consistently solid. Staff were around when you needed them, but never hovering. Friendly without being over the top. With a group our size, there are always small requests popping up, and everything was handled without friction. We spent time walking the grounds, which are worth mentioning on their own. It's not just a place to sleep, it feels like an experience. Paths along the creek, pockets of quiet space, and just enough activity nearby without losing that sense of being tucked away. If I had to find something to knock, it would be that a stay like this isn't exactly casual from a price standpoint. But once you're there, it makes sense where that money is going. Five stars, easily. It handled a full house of family without stress, gave everyone space to breathe, and still managed to feel like a getaway instead of just a place we were all staying. That's not easy to pull off, but they did.
