Old, but clean and comfortavle. Furniture showing a lot of wear and tear, but you get what you pay for. Super cheap and does the job. Paid $32 and then after tax it was $43 or so. Our experience with the guy at check in was a good one and he was nice to us. read more

America's Best Inn - Bedroom with queen bed - Hotels Near Me - Flagstaff, Arizona

Was up in Flagstaff working an weekend race and stayed the night at American Best Inn, ok yes from the outside, it looks like it's from the 50's maybe even thinking yo this is shady, but don't bolt yet. We got checked in pretty and off to the room we went, and I won't lie after reading some of the reviews I worried. We entered in the room, and guess what, it was pretty decent, 2 queen beds, a table, tv, dresser, mini fridge, micro wave, clean floors and bed, and bathroom. This isn't a bad room for the price, you don't hear the traffic from the street either, was able to sleep solid. But if your one of those who pay motel 6 prices and expect the Ritz type of flair, then you won't be happy. You get what you paid for, a decent place to crash for the night. If back in the area looking for a place to stay the night, I wouldn't hesitate looking them up again. read more

For the price this place is decent. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quite dated though. It could stand for a renovation, they appeared to have recently redone the parking lot, hopefully the rooms are next. The wall sockets were nowhere convenient in the room I stayed in, the alarm clock was not plugged in, one of the lamps wasnt plugged in (both due to no wall sockets), the built in do not disturb door lever did not work and the deadbolt had to be worked with a bit to get it to lock, some of the plaster around the shower was coming off and the water wasnt very powerful (but then again, when are motel showers ever that powerful) The front desk clerk was pretty friendly, we arrived early and while he couldnt get us in right there he did manage to get us in earlier than our check in time, he was also very helpful with telling me about the surround area and some points of interest that I might have been interested in. If they were to update and fix some of the smaller amenities this wouldnt be a bad little place and if you are on a budget, this could work for you read more

All we need is an affordable place to stay a couple of nights. In this city, gas is cheaper but food is more expensive than LA, so I think the room rate is reasonable already. It's close to the historic old town, some fast food restaurants, convenient stores, and Target + 24 hr Walmart. The room has a small fridge, microwave, AC, TV, iron & bar, blow dryer, toiletries. Outside there are ice machine, washer & dryer. The only problem is the towels are very tough, like they never rinse them with fabric softener. And some of them have yellow stains. The motel is old but the room is clean enough. They change trash bags and provide new towels + toiletries every day. read more

I've stayed here twice. Both times it was quiet, affordable, and clean. The furniture is outdated but the beds seem up to date. There is plenty of parking and the place is located near shops and the university. read more

Great place wonderful staff. Comfy quiet rooms that are very very clean and spacious. The place has been remodeled in and out and has a great lodge feel. And they allow pets. I will always return when in town. read more

This is now a Travelodge by Wyndham Made a reservation with Wyndham over the phone. Agreed on a price of $130 and gave my card over the phone and was told it was non refundable. As soon as we get to the hotel. The man at the desk was manipulative and charging us way more than what we agreed to pay. Over $200! This man did not respect the reservation we made. We were so tired we figured we would fix it in the morning. I tried to talk to the man but he was very rude and only wanted to talk to my husband. There was no talking to the man and obviously customer service is not at all a concern of his. He has no respect then tries to steal more money. I am talking to their corporate as I don't want to continue to patronize a company when at check in everything changes then they try to steal money by taking on extra charges. Why am I held accountable for the charges I agreed to pay, when the hotel does not honor the reservation. And a woman should get just as much respect as her husband. I don't use the word misogynist lightly but this rude man unfortunately fits the description. I would gladly pay more for honesty and respect at another establishment. read more

We stayed 5 nights in 2 rooms at this hotel and really liked it. Everything was clean and worked properly, no odors (I'm very sensitive to this), the beds were very comfortable, the shades were dark and the rooms were quiet. We could not even hear the phone ring through the walls when we called our family members in the next room. The location was convenient so that we could walk to restaurants to eat, but the configuration made traffic noise barely audible. Every morning we sat outside our room and watched the sun come up on the San Francisco Peaks. Beautiful. It is humble, but the price is right, and it was such a pleasant stay I will return if I'm back in the area. read more

I booked and fully paid one night at this hotel using a Hotels.com app on my cellphone, but forgot to change the number of adults to 2 though I traveled with a friend of mine, and we purposely booked a room with 2 beds. When we had showed up at front desk, two guys with strong eastern accent momentarily declared that they will charge us an additional fee for the second person staying. I wasn't born just yesterday, so I said that any hotel's basic price does cover at least 2 persons in a room, especially when the room has two beds. Then I said that I would gladly cancel the reservation at this motel. In fact, I mixed up the names. I wanted to book the hotel named America's Best Value Inn when we had already stayed a night and were very pleased. The answer of these representatives was that they'd be happy to cancel my reservation and I'd not be getting any refund. My next turn was to say that I'd agree to pay the imposed surcharge; however, I'd post a negative review about this hotel. The surcharge was instantly called off, and we got a key of the room. Later, I went online just for the price, comparing one adult to two adults per room price, and it expectedly showed no difference. So I feel I have to publish the story, so next visitors of Flagstaff wouldn't get oblige to bargain like at an Eastern market when they are tired after long day hiking at Grand Canyon. Our further experience at the hotel wasn't any better, as well. In the middle of the night we were awaken by frantic knocking at the neighbor's door and some junkie's screaming. In the morning, we felt broken down by the sleepless night and had to change our next plans to hiking due to extreme tiredness. read more

Spacious, comfortable, and friendly service. Bathroom was clean. Good stay for price.

Very positive experience here. Its a basic motel but very clean and well kept. Personable and helpful front staff! Always available for questions....i left a blanket behind and they kept it for me. If i could recommend a reasonable motel in flagstaff it would be this one. I would even tell my parents to stay here if they needed! read more

Friendly staff and the place was clean and quiet. Id come back here again. Scenery was beautiful!

Old hotel that shows its age. Pros - easy to load and unload your car No stairs to deal with Beds and bedding was decent and clean. Pets are allowed? Cons - Shower was dirty and the hot water was about 60 degrees at best. Room had a strange smell You can smell the smoke from the smoking rooms in the bathroom (nasty smell in a damp environment) Price was competitive with other motels in the area but the other places have nicer rooms and breakfast for the same money Desk staff was fine, no issue there Good location for some cheap dinner places - Jimmy johns read more

The lady at the front desk is really nice but the restroom of our room has very strong smell of cigarettes even thought this is a non-smoking hotel. read more

Good motel for the price (not a mansion but you can't expect anything better for such a low cost). Clean, affordable, no bed bugs. Had a microwave, an excellent wifi connection, beautiful mountain views and was conveniently near a lot of eateries and shops. Would recommend! Thank you ABI. read more

Decent budget rate motel. It is true you get what you pay for. My only complaint was that when I arrived a bit past 2 pm to check in, no one was in the management office. I had to call the manager to get someone to check me in. Turns out that the check in time was actually 3 pm, not 2 o'clock as Hotels.com indicated. The room itself was fine for one night, and the manager did apologize for my having to wait to get checked in. I probably wouldn't stay there again, as there are many options available in Flagstaff. read more

Is what it is. Decent place to crash for a night. They quoted us a price and actual rate was slightly higher. Front desk later adjusted it to what they said and gave us cash back. As far as area .. It's flagstaff ur good. If you want a fancy hotel pay more money and save your complaints. read more

If you are looking for a cheap but bad hotel this could be it. Water pressure issues, huge hole in the sheets, plaster coming off in bathroom. Ftont desk is nice enough and makes the appropriate apologies. I would recommend staying somewhere else. : - ( read more

You can NOT stay here. I got to Flagstaff at 4.30 in the morning. I called a cab to take me to my motel. I called ahead to let the motel know that I would be arriving around this time so that they would be open and not give my room away. They said of course. But when I arrived to the motel, the lights were off, the door locked, and my cab drove away. I rang the doorbell. about 3 minutes later a angry eyed man unlocked the office door. Me: Hi, I'm here to check in. I told them I'd be late... Man: (The man squinted at me as if I was an idiot) Can't you read? (pointing to the 'No Vacancy' sign) Me: Yes, but I have a reservation. I told them I'd be coming around this time...and to not give my room away? Man: (just glared at me, waiting for me to elaborate) Me: I'm not sure what to do here.... Did you give my room away...or...? Man: How am I supposed to know that? Me: Uhh...Do you need my reservation number...err..uhh Man: What does that mean to me Me: (Thinking) Man: Are you number 26 or 27? Me: Err...I don't know I haven't checked in yet? (Thinking maybe he was referring to a room number?? I still don't know what he meant) Man: The sign says "No Vacancy" Me: I know but--I'm sorry I don't understand. Wh---.. Man: What makes you think you can come here and bother me? You really don't GET it, do you? Me: EXCUSE ME?!?! Man: Don't you raise your fucking voice at me, bitch! Me: (confused and scared now) You just called me a bitch! You're the one getting hostile...I'm just trying to figure out what the fuck-- Man: You know what, Don't cuss at me!! Go away you fucking bitch! *Tries to slam the door. Instinctually I put my hand toward the the door but was too late. And it wouldn't have mattered, it's not like he was going to give me a room, and I knew that...but I was just trying to figure out what the hell was going on. I needed to know if my room had been given away...If I had been charged for the room...Where I was supposed to go at 4.30 in the morning to a place I was unfamiliar with...O yeah, and maybe an explanation as to why I was being verbally assaulted!?!? Me: (As the door is shutting) Don't shut the fucking door on me you fucker! *I regret cussing and "raising" my voice (I say "raising" this way because I didn't present hostillity till he started cussing and screaming at me) because I feel now I have no legal recourse for reporting this man. I feel that most would see that I was justified in my reaction. I'm a woman. And a man is yelling at in a dark parking lot. I have no protection except my words. Which must have done something because he did feel compelled to lock me out. Oh, and don't stay at the "America's Best Inn" off Milton in Flagstaff, AZ read more

Affordable clean perfect for a stop for the night. Check in was friendly and quick. We were extremely tired and went to bed as soon as we walked in. The furniture was a little bulky with the old console TV cabinet holding a flat screen tv. The Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and iron with ironing board would have been great amenities if we were staying longer. We even felt comfortable enough to do our morning sit-ups on the floor! read more

I had a horrible experience at Canyon inn up the street and came straight to this place. I was practically in tears and the lady behind the counter was genuinely sweet to me. She kindly helped me check in and was very personable. Her daughter was behind the counter at one point and she gave me a smile and said hello. My room was perfect, I had no issues. Thank you for being great! read more

Room was large and the microwave and refrigerator came in handy. The bed was VERY firm and pillows rather flat. Easy parking and great location for us though! Very friendly staff. read more

This fit the bill perfectly for me as I was only in town for one night and needed a place to crash. It was just big enough and close to downtown. If it were any more that a couple of nights I would have stayed somewhere else. Everything about the room was dated, but very clean despite. The only knock I can think of is the water temp and pressure in the shower, which both were pretty nonexistent. I would definitely stay here again. read more

This place was nicer than expected considering the price. The room had a TV, fridge, microwave, 2 desks, etc. It was kind of cold and the shower was acting up, but otherwise, it was great. I would stay here again. read more

The owner is very nice, and after tax my room was $49.00. I always prefer to give my money to a family owned motel instead of a chain. There is a coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge in my room. I feel safe, and feel that my vehicle is safe as well. The room could be a little cleaner, and the decor leaves a bit to be desired, but overall I am pleased. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend America's Best Inn of Flagstaff to other travelers. read more
