Amazing location in the heart of Sedona. Stayed first week of August and very hot in the day as expected and pleasantly cool at night. Beware toilets are vault (pit) and not flushable which means most sites are exposed to a frequent off putting bathroom stench that passes through the campground often. Showers cost $8 and are given a token which provides an 8 minute extremely hot shower in a tiny hot box (beware you may sweat more post shower which is not fun). Overall Pros: prime location, quiet hours enforced at night, beautiful creek to explore and cool off in at mid-day peak heat, many site options, camp store provides ice on site. Cons: staff is a bit unfriendly, stinky bathrooms, no sink to wash hands (only sanitizer), unpleasant showers, no fires allowed due to high fire warning. Camping isn't the same without a camp fire but totally get the safety aspect, the Grand Canyon north rim was on fire during our stay :(

Everyone should be treated with respect and that was not the case today

We had a great time at this beautiful campsite. I must say some of the camp host at front desk had horrible characters. I walked to the office bc my family left a day early with both vehicles and I asked to park my truck there since I was parked in overflow. The guy snatched my ticket with force and attitude out of my hand and threw it in the trash aggressively which caught me by surprise. The other lady came from behind and said two other ppl asked the same thing and there is no refunds and he was upset. I expl'd no excuse and he should control himself and not treat ppl like that. There was no reason for the aggressiveness. They should've respected the fact I was asking i/o jus prkg there. That behavior should not be acceptable but yet they gave him an excuse

Mama's Retreat for One/Toddler incl for 1 Day...I picked up my Escape Campervan in Phoenix and headed up to Sedona for a much needed "Weekend Escape" in nature. I got up there early and headed to a couple campgrounds to try to find an available one for me and my 3 year old...came across this one. The entrance was gorgeous with a stream running through it and friendly staff. I got my name on the Waiting List that opens up at 10am, and expressed how important it was to be in a safe place. I got a spot that morning and got settled in with my little one. We walked all over the campground, exploring barefoot, and enjoying nature. The campers were all welcoming, the site was huge, and they have firewood for sale on site (you cannot collect wood on the grounds). They have showers, restrooms, and a well kept campground. My husband picked up our little one on Day 2 and I enjoyed the area sans one. I have to give a shout out to Anna & Korey along with Sheldon & Stephanie for making my stay so beautiful and allowing us to stay in this space, while offering the comforts if needed (snacks, drinks, fresh water for dishes, firewood, and maps). Big Thanks!!!

Beautiful and clean campsite! Pros: - Absolutely beautiful. - Oak Creek goes right through the camp so peaceful. - Cleanish bathrooms, composting toilets, no sink. - Hand sanitizer is provided by not always full. - Drinking water from the spout was clean and cold - HOT showers 8 minutes for $4. - There wasn't partying, mostly quiet campsite. - Dog Friendly, must be on leash at all times. Cons: - Found a bit of glass near the picnic table. - Heavy traffic, the staff ride golf carts around and go by every 5-10 minutes, can get annoying when trying to rest.

Great camp ground. Well maintained. Bathrooms were clean andthe camp site was clean and raked. The camp hosts take great care and there is a little side on site with firewood and some provisions. It's $20/ night witch is a great value. There is even a small creek and swimming hole right there, which is fabulous in the summer heat. It's a bit crowded for me, with not too much privacy between the sites. The creek brings in a lot of families (which is great if you like that kind of thing) and with slide rock state park being so close it can get very busy on the weekends. It's also very fine sand/ dirt in the camp sites, so prepare to get dirty!

Staff was super friendly. We went on week days and had a reserved site. Original site was A1 & A2. We moved to a non reservable site off the Main Street white was better for our motorhome E11 & E12 Traffic on A1/A2 was horrible but the staff was very helpful and moved us no problem. Kids loved riding bikes and taking the walking path out of the campground to the jumping cliffs. Water was refreshing on the 90/100 degree day Loved everything about this campground

We did not spend the night here as campers but drove by to see the scenery and the water. It seemed very well-kept and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The cave is blocked off but the meadow is very pretty and the campgrounds seem well-kept.

    Mike's the rangers bus!

This past weekend my family and I went camping at Cave Springs Campground. I had the worst experience with park ranger/restroom cleaner Mike that lives in a bus at the site. We unfortunately got the space next to this man and his school bus house. We got there Friday night, and we had no problems playing music with a handheld speaker till 10pm when the lights go out and that's because we found out he wasn't home or worked that day. Saturday night was a totally different story. Mike comes over about 7pm and tells us to turn the speaker down and he didn't like the music we were playing. We agreed with what he said and turned the (low power) speaker off completely. We used our phone to play music and he came over at 9pm and told us that this was the 3rd time he had come over and he was going to call the sheriff on us. We told him we would turn it off and my friend said when he was walking away "I can't believe you can hear it in that bus" and he goes all crazy on us and ask him to say it to his face and wanted to fight. He goes and tells us go back to were you came from. This was clearly racial and there was never a second time he had given us a warning. We had just started a campfire with the over price wood just to turn everything off. Not everyone is welcome there, especially if you play Latin music. Plus, this is not the 1st time this man has made it impossible for the family. He had my parents turn off the generator at 5pm when it was 98 degrees outside. He also made my parents move to another camp space after they had set up everything just to realize it was their camp in the first place with no apology. Please remove Mike as a ranger or you will be losing so much business from the LATINO community.

Cave Springs, what is there not to like about this campground? We enjoyed our 3 nights at the park. The hosts were very nice and knowledgeable. We booked in February to ensure the best spot (A15), but every spot is unique in its own way. We only intended on staying for 2 nights so we were not able to keep the same site. There is a whole process to get another night. But it went smoothly, we did have to cancel that day's plans to make sure we got another night. That's okay. We made other plans. I would recommend this place for camping, the $4.00 for showers at 8 minutes seemed like an eternity. The water was hot and the shower area was clean.

Pros: most of the sites are super nice. Very wooded and scenic. It's right on the creek and against red rocks so tons to do right in the campground. Really easy access's to Sedona for exploring. Super nice camp hosts. Cons: pit toilets waft the smell of poop into your campsite. It's not all the time depending on the wind but if your close it's pretty constant. There are tons is skunks running around at night. It's a little stressful

Beautiful swimming spot located along an unassuming path on the campground!

I booked a creekside We booked a creekside campsite 5 months in advance for Labor Day weekend! The campground was absolutely stunning, clean and took excellent precautionary measures amidst the COVID-19 pandemic! Both firewood and ice were readily available for convenient purchase. Alan, Roe, and Shane were a joy to meet during our stay at Cave Springs! Shane provided excellent information when we asked for recommendations for good nearby trails! Alan and Roe were very knowledgeable regarding the geography and wildlife in which Cave Springs Campground is situated! We intend to return to this stunning and magical place many times in the future!

Beautiful spot. Nice size campsites. Lots of trees and there is a trail that goes down to the creek and a decent swimming hole. The bathrooms were clean but only vault toilets. No sinks. There is drinking water but you are not allowed to fill up your rv with water there so we had to drive quite a ways to fill up our rig and no dump station either. We would stay there again now that we know these things. It would have been nice if this was posted on their website.

What a great camping spot, and amazing hosts! My girlfriend…read moreand I came here the week after the November 2020 elections to get away from everything, on a week that could only be described as "unseasonably cold." It's a beautiful little campground just about 15 minutes away from Uptown Sedona and alongside Oak Creek. We started out with two nights at the site furthest to the right upon entrance, and that backs up to a little pool and cliff. We had some fairly rowdy neighbors who were constantly breaking the rules and seem to have been ejected early, which was greatly appreciated, because rules are important, especially when they are mainly instated to enforce common courtesy to everyone else. The site has only 19 spots, with the majority of them hugging the creek. The others are sort of in the middle of the loop-street and lack views, immediate water-access, and privacy, as they're right out in the middle and cars drive around them. Our last two nights we moved to Site 19, which was perfect. The campsite is small enough so that proximity to the camp host/firewood, and the bathrooms is not an issue, and our spot was furthest from the entrance, and therefore was the most private/secluded. Each spot has a pretty flat spot, usually with partial shade for the tent, a firepit, and a heavy duty picnic table. There are trout in the river, and I hooked one up behind our first spot where there is a wonderfully clear and deep pool, as well as a little cliff that's fun to climb up and around. Dennis, one of the camp hosts, pointed out that there were 6-8 visible trout in the small pool behind Site 10 and so we rushed over there, and he watched us attempt unsuccessfully to lure out the fish, and then came over with a chunk of Velveeta cheese, which he said he always had luck with. We would return to this spot for the next few days and eventually hooked up a few trout, which was great. Everything about this site is great, and I'm just the slightest bit hesitant about raving too highly lest it becomes more difficult to reserve in the future. Great location, great hosts, an extremely clean vault bathroom that smells of Febreeze, a creek full of fish, firewood for sale, and camp hosts that keep the place in amazing condition. 5/5. Would recommend. Would like to return soon.

Traffic is heard all waking hours. If you're idea is to go camping and only hear the birds singing, the water flowing in the creek and the wind blowing through the trees, think again. Fortunately, 90% of the time the wind was blowing away from us but occasionally we were hit by the stench of the vault toilet perfume. The fire pits are not buried so be prepared to use more wood if you're cooking over the fire. The second part of this review is regarding the camp hosts. 1 star (there's no 0 star choice). They are militant. After we had set up camp and were starting our fire to cook dinner, the husband/wife duo came into camp, clipboard tucked in the arm of the lady. The first thing she said as they approached was "that's a lot of smoke there". Looking into the fire pit, she said, "oh, pine needles. That's why. You should use pine cones. They don't smoke as much. But you have a flat fire, not a teepee. That's good news". The husband instructed to use two buckets of water to put out the fire. And stir with a stick to make a slurry. And it's good to keep 4-6 oz of water in a small bottle nearby when cooking to help control the fire too. Really? Next the husband said let's go over the rules. No camp showers. No noise between 10pm and 8am. No generators after hours. No loud radios. Musical instruments are ok. There was more but I don't remember it all. They made rounds in their golf cart every hour or so. Camp hosts were around the entire time we were there. I'd never seen anything like it. They were rude and insulting, treating us like we were children. I've been camping for 50 years. Not my first time around the block. But this was the first time I've been insulted and bothered so much by a camp host. They said they were coming back to host next year. For that reason alone we will avoid this campground.

Be sure to fully understand the cancelation policy. Numerous reviews about the nightmare. Upon arrival, there was a slight misunderstanding, but it was quickly resolved. The location is picturesque, featuring tall trees, a serene pond, and a running creek, along with amenities not typically found at other campgrounds, such as a swimming pool, laundry facilities, showers, and a playground for children. The creek was the highlight of our trip. However, let's not overlook the reality we faced: with the hefty price tag for this slice of paradise, a few upgrades wouldn't go amiss. Our cabin's air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a jet engine preparing for takeoff, making family conversations feel more like a yelling match. There are some spider webs in the cabin. I don't mind them, but they might freak someone else out! We rented the small cabin which had a toilet which was an absolute plus. The cabin bed/mat's could use an upgrade. We just brought our air mats. They worked fine. The loft bed was comfortable according to my teen. So, the only WiFi was by the clubhouse, which I was totally fine with. Every now and then, I'd get a text coming through while inside the cabin. Very spotty. We brought our pups along and made sure they were on their best behavior since the rules said no warnings for noisy dogs--if they barked too much, guests would be asked to leave. Oddly alot of dogs barked, which is ok in my book. There's also a cute little store on-site for all the essentials and some snacks! Great location, just about 30min to nearby Sedona or Cottonwood. In summary, a beautiful escapade with a few quirks, just enough to keep us entertained and on our toes! I've read multiple reviews of the staff. We're fortunate not to have a bad experience.

Needless to say, we slept under the stars, listened to the coyotes howl and topped it off with a magical hike. I highly recommend her services.

Seeing the stars at night was unreal and a very memorable experience. The salt water hot tub was also amazing. Cabin is equipped with everything you need. Definitely recommend and I cannot wait to return. Close to so many attractions like grasshopper point.

We stayed in Renew (first home going up hill) first week of November. It was cooler weather but…read morenot terribly cold until our last night, when it snowed. The photos are very accurate-tiny. These are not a place to hangout at but rather a place to sleep and maybe relax, weather pending. if you are at all claustrophobic, this could not be a place for you. The first night, I was in my head laying in bed wondering if I will be able to sleep and or stay for our reservation time. I finally fell asleep and I was fine for the remainder of our trip, it was just that first night. Steps are steep and takes a few times to figure out best way to get up and down. The steps are not in middle of peak of roof so you need to maneuver over to get to bed. You could scrape or shin or knee but we had no issues. I find Renew to be most private of the 4 options w/o residential neighbor near and hot tub off to side, not on deck. I don't know if there were any pots or anything to cook with, we ate out but did use the coffee press. Without a heater, we slept warmly upstairs, except for night it snowed, as I had window open. I wonder how well AC works in summer time when sleeping so close to roof. If you are not organized with your belongings, you will be frustrated with lack of space and your clothes. We had not issues but I could see where someone might. Renew pros -storage in the steps up to bed -mini split (was not working when we were there but did not need-never reported it) -spa more private than the other units -outdoor chairs & fire unit -coffee -blue tooth speaker (cord provided was not correct charging cord-but ours worked) -most private location as no one to one side and one unit on other-away from residents -Darin communicative cons -not enough hooks and only one that is above waist level -no curtains on front window -had 3 towels and not 4 (need one for shower & one for hot tub)
