Great taps, and not just IPAs! They have a large list, maybe 18-20 taps, plus Polar water, and a food truck. The food truck is a little pricey, and some of the items are questionable, but the Caprese is a must. Crispy flatbread smothered in pesto, tomato, mozzarella, and balsamic. Serious drinking food. Keep an eye out for the barn cats who usually hang out by the fans. Also nearby to frolf, and the orchard. read more

Great brewery tucked away with an awesome variety of beers. Friendly staff, unique area, and just great overall ambiance. Right down the road from Treehouse, you would be remiss if you did not check it out! The honey, red, ipa, and blondes are all great. The beers are incredibly smooth and the food is well priced and delicious. Also, they offer crowlers. read more

Amazing. So much fun. My husband and I hit upon it with a stopover in Sturbridge. Seems like off the beaten path in the dark, but worth it. 40+ crew with dogs and live music...eagles, Fleetwood, van Morrison. Song alongs. Great Great atmosphere. And wonderful beers. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed...so do the patrons. Great decor ads to a relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait for Oktoberfest. read more

love, love, love this place. my boyfriend and i were driving through the area for the first time, and noticed a sign for the tap room. always up for adventure, we decided to take a short detour to visit. i was first impressed by the presence of hops growing around and near the building- what a lovely and thoughtful touch. service on the inside was very friendly, and the look of the place is all dark wood, with incredibly unique wooden communal tables that are clearly fashioned from real wood by a craftsman. beers that stood out for us were the honey, summer, blueberry, and belgian. though, honestly, everything was tasty, even if it wasn't remarkable. prices are surprisingly reasonable, with 32 oz. cans to-go running around $7 - $8 each. we will definitely be back when we are in the area again. *there's a really cool outdoor venue of sorts that was being set up for a wedding around the time that we were there. there are also some animals (i saw a horse and a goat in the distance) that you can visit. we did not, so as not to encroach upon the wedding. read more

Rapscallion Pub - Rapscallion in San Diego! - Brewpubs Near Me - Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Delicious! The cider is so good. The only things I'm sad about is the lack of food (which was made ok by the presence of a food truck that day) and that I couldn't get a growler of the cider to take home. Dogs are a-OK inside and the one inside when we were there was very well behaved. Hope to see them expand soon read more

This is a very cool place with a good vibe, especially in the summertime when they've got the live music playing on the patio. You could sit and enjoy the place for hours and not ever notice the time. We came here one summer late afternoon for some food and good beer. Both did not disappoint, and with the selection of pretty good beers on tap, you'll have to choose your favorite. The food was good, but perhaps we were expecting more. It was definitely better than your average pub food, which is always a pleasant surprise. Service was more iffy, with us waiting through nearly half of my meal for the waiter to come back and find out that my partner's meal had something she's allergic to that she specifically asked them to leave off (so she couldn't eat it while waiting for the waiter to check in on us). Frustrating, because this is Waiting 101 stuff. Given the service, I would've rated this place 3 1/2 stars, but of course I can't... so I rounded up, since wait staff can be variable in quality any place you go. It felt like as the evening wore on, there definitely wasn't enough waiters, as our waiter spent all of his time on a large party that had come in, completely neglecting us. Which was a shame, because it meant we had to wait 20 minutes to order dessert and wait on it to come... which is way too long when you're at a place like this. Could easily be 4 stars or more if they could get better waitstaff or drill the basics into them about ensuring their customers are happy in a timely fashion. We'll come again when we're in the area. read more

The beer was excellent, the service was very prompt, the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed, the select was vast. Plus they have a disc golf course and they also have a nice banquet facility. Well done and will be returning very soon read more

Great beer, good food and an awesome Disc Golf course. Went here for a stop on my buddies bachelor party and we really enjoyed ourselves. The brewery is pretty small, the seating area as well, but the service and overall vibe of the environment/atmosphere really helped eliminate those issues. To be fair, its hard not to enjoy yourself whilst being around your friends and some beer. Plus, pups are also welcomed, so that alone makes me happy. The Disc Golf course (the main reason we came) was incredible, one of the biggest and toughest courses I have come across. Some parts wide open, others super narrow with heavily wooded areas (bring bug spray) make for a frustrating yet, fun challenge. I would love to see a couple of beer stands set up around the course, but that's just me! They also have a small pro-shop with a good amount of discs and other accessories to purchase. Disc Golf shops are very few and far between so it was nice to have a place to buys some extra discs. The food was typical pub style, but damn was it delicious. Very small menu the day we went, more of a finger food menu to be exact which is the only reason for the four star review. The manager promised the food trucks to be back in time for our planned bachelor party, yet they weren't coming until the following week... bit of let down but it didn't ruin our day by any means. Definitely will be returning. Great place for sure. read more

Went to Rapscallion Brewery after going to Treehouse and the line to get in was so long we decided not to stay. What a great little brewery. Great beers, chill vibe and dog friendly. My husband had a pint of the blonde and I had a pint of the Rye IPA, both delicious! Then we split a flight of the Honey, Blonde, Red and Double IPA, all equally as good. So glad we found this place after being turned off by the amusement park feel of Treehouse. read more

Great spot. My husband and I were up this way in May and had an amazing time and enjoyed the beers and atmosphere. Not to mention that we bought shirts and my husband's ended up being a bit small (he didn't try it on). He was disappointed so I contacted them when we got home and they were more than accommodating to exchange. I decided to still keep the other shirt and they took my order for the new one and shipped it out. Happy husband - priceless. Good beer, good ambience, good customer service. We'll be back on our next visit! read more

So fun! We stopped by the tap room after a round of disc golf on their awesome new course. Great selection of beer, cool atmosphere, plenty of seating. We happened to pick a night with live music which made it even better! Would get five stars if it had a restaurant in house, but they allow you to bring in your own food. read more

Out of the 5 breweries I went to in 2 days this had my personal favorite. The pizza was from a truck and was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. Has an outdoor patio to hang out on as well. This place was awesome! read more

They allow dogs!!! Also, we have yet to find a bad beer on the menu. They have live music most weekend evenings and a very relaxed atmosphere. There is nothing better than grabbing a beer, listening to music and chillin with your dog!! Love this place! read more

Meh. I had 2 mediocre beers, but the staff was nice and I like that you can bring your own food in (they don't have any there). They have live music, an event space, and some board games. It seemed like the right set up for a good time, so maybe I'll check it out again some day. read more

Fantastic brewery. The beers are top notch, pleasant environment. The place to go in Sturbridge.

The beers are good, especially the honey beer but I feel the service was rushed and did not take time to educate us on their choices, not the friendliest staff either. As for the atmosphere, WAY WAY to many dogs! I had to watch where I stepped to not step on a dog paw and one tried to jump up on my wife. It spoiled the experience. I don't mind dogs either. read more

My husband tried a flight that had a Session IPA, IPA, Double IPA, and Coffee Stout. The Session IPA and IPA were decent, the Double IPA and the Coffee Stout were really good. I like my Session IPA. I wish we had tried the food, there were taco and flatbread options I feel we missed out on. The place itself was nice and had a comfortable atmosphere. We think it's definitely worth stopping there. read more

We came here with a group after going to the Antique Market in Brimfield. It was a long, hot day of walking around so this place was the perfect place to stop. My husband and I are regulars! We love coming for the great beer, live music and the fact the place is dog friendly! We also like to play the disc golf course and check out the orchard in the fall. It's a very happening place after work and on weekends. I highly recommend! read more

I rarely write reviews although I always read them and value the opinion of others. I woke up this morning feeling a strong desire to share my Rapscallion experience. I picked Rapscallion Brewery for a work gathering because of its geographic location. It was a central location for a group coming from Maine, CT and MA. I had no idea what a gem it was going to be!! It had a warm and wonderful New England vibe. I was the only woman among a group of die hard male beer lovers and we were all extremely pleased with our beers. I drank the New England IPA and loved it! The food was perfect for a happy hour event and we ordered it continuously throughout the night. ! It was a rainy autumn evening and one of my local colleagues brought his dog. I loved the fact that Rapscallion is dog friendly. My intentions were to sit outside but due to the weather we had to opt for indoor seating. I felt very Covid safe inside. I loved my whole experience at Rapscallion Brewery and highly recommend it to others!! read more

me and a couple of my girlfriends came to check out this place. my friend said she had fun before when she went about a month ago so we decided to check it out. we go in, look at the beer list and we are deciding what we wanted. my friend wanted to try a beer before she bought it and the guy was completely rude, no samples. he refused. he said oh its expensive, you will like it, get it. so he poors the beers and he was just rude the way he was talking. i felt extremely uncomfortable and didnt even know what to say. our beer was discusting that we paid 23 dollars for! took advantage of us cause he probably thought we knew nothing about beer so he just gave us whatever.... couldnt even give a sample???? your a brewery. that is so rediculous. i will not come back! read more
