I have to say I have been going to this place for years for my tags but I've never had any other work done on my car, but let me say after my smog checked passed the guy came to me and told me something that I was already aware of I guess it was just finally time to get it done. I knew he was being honest turns out my bushings arms needed to be replaced ASAP, and I'm so glad I had the money to get the service done cause lord knows how long I would have kept driving. So in short what would have been a $700 job turned into a $300 because I was able to get my own parts so all I paid for was the labor which was nice! And even after he was done I was ready to take off and drive and heard a noise and not only did I turn back around to him knowing what the problem was and fixed it with no issues! So if you have money but don't want to spend it and is looking for a good price as well as work then give this place a try cause this is my go to place!!! read more

These are the nicest people running this place. We brought our car in for a smog and the check engine light came on right at the end of the smog test. The gentleman allowed me to take my car up to the college and fix it and then bring it back for the smog test. It passed with flying colors and they only charged me for the final test. The price was really competitive and this was a great experience! I will be sending anyone that asks me where to go for a smog to this shop. They really care about the customer! Ladies and Gentleman, I had a lots of different issues with my vehicle: from my brakes, driving belt, cabin filter and some key arm brakets I was inform my vehicle needed. Thank you to this team in Rapid Smog they took care of my vehicle and did everything for me. One experience I was gladly to hear was that this team informed me that I did not need the arm brackets and I am taking about $700.00 to $900.00 estimate just for the brackets plus the service to install them. Rapid Smog informed that I did not need to replace these arm brackets. My husband was there yesterday and waited for 1 hour to get his truck smog checked and ended up walking out. Service was horrible, everyone was walking around in pajamas and flip-flops. Everyone was rude and inconsiderate of the customer's time. We had our other vehicles smog checked there last year, and we had a much better experience; only one was there then and he was professional he was not there yesterday. Only unprofessional, rude individuals were present yesterday. We are never going back or referring any of our friends and family. They lack knowledge on certain models , they failed a Toyota paseo because they did not know how to check the timing yet tried to charge me for an adjustment and to smog it again. I've been to Rapid Smog many times over the years and they've always been fast and efficient. I needed a part on my last visit and they had one in stock. I price compared at Autozone and it was about the same price and Rapid Smog installed it at no extra charge. As for the comments in previous reviews about the rude service, I have always found them friendly and professional. read more

Owner is very RUDE and has no class!!! I was taken advantage of here and they basically stole my money!! I have never entered a Yelp before, but, this is deserving as a warning to stay far away as their customer service is totally non-existent. I called the owner and said that my 1984 Porsche Carrera will never pass smog unless this one screw is turned first "prior" to the test and I asked him if he would put his machine in "test" mode and turn that one screw until the O2 numbers were good and then run the test and he said that he would so I drove there. I talked to the owner and I showed him the screw and I told him that it took a 3mm wrench to turn it and I told him that it needs to be turned counter-clockwise to make the numbers get into range and he said fine that he will adjust like I requested until the numbers are in range and then run the real test for me. I went to lunch and he called me in about 50 minutes to an hour and said that he has had three more new cars show up and he does not have time to turn the screw. When I returned the girl at the counter handed me a failed test results and made me pay even though I had told the owner prior to ever driving there or approving him to work on my car that my porsche mechanic said it will never pass without that one screw first being adjusted, but, the owner himself decided that he would run the test anyways without adjusting the screw first and it failed like I told him it would. If he ran out of time to turn a screw (which I have done before myself and it takes 1 minute) then he should have never run the test and charged me.I paid him because he told me that I could come back another day that he was not so busy and he would turn the screw and then run the test again. When I called to make an appointment to do that I spoke with the owner himself and this time he said that he was going to charge me for the whole smog testing again PLUS an additional $25 to turn the screw. He was also very rude to me on the phone even though I was polite to him and I called him "Sir". The owner remembered working with me as my car is unusual and the facts of what happened were not challenged by him. I only authorized him to run the test and charge me "if" he first spent the one minute to turn the screw which he did not do. He never should have run the test because I told him that my Porsche specialist said it will never pass without the screw being turned first. I was totally ripped off by the owner himself and he also hung up on me...save your money..go anywhere else!!! read more

My car failed its smog for two codes? Went to one place they wanted to charge me 1,500 to stuff that i didn't even need to have fixed for my smog to pass! So went back to the place that first smoged it and they referred me to rapid smog! And I'm glad they did. they fixed it and smoged it! They only had to fix one thing to smog it! And it was way cheaper then the other place that wanted to charge me 1,500. So thank you Rapid smog! read more

Please stay away from this place. They still your money, and you will not pass the smog test. They will find something wrong, and will say that until you get the repair you will not pass. They will charge you $8.25 for the certificate ,even if you don't pass. read more
