I needed a STAR Certified Smog check for my 1999 Honda Civic and called Valley Smog among other places in the area before coming in, and Valley Smog had the best price is the area. When I first arrived I thought it was conveniently located across the street from the Hemet DMV. I first was confused and didn't exactly know where to start since I didn't find anyone in the car garage area, so I stood inside the office confused where to start. After exiting the office after a few minutes I was greeted by the Smog technician guy, I didn't get his name, but he was friendly and gave me an estimated wait time of 30 minutes because there was a couple cars ahead of mine. This sounded perfectly reasonable for how busy it was and the time estimate was very accurate. After approximately 30 minutes my car was next and passed smog on the first try. It only took 15 minutes and I was given a printout of the report as well as assured my certificate was sent to the DMV electronically. I paid inside the office thanked the gentleman and was very satisfied with the service I experienced. People you need to read extra and ask questions BEFORE your service. This isnt brain surgery and you're ruining someones livelyhood because your not being thorough!!!! I needed to get my car smog-ed so I came to yelp and searched looking for a well spoke of smog business. Looked at about 10 places and chose Valley Smog Test. I needed a Star certified one and they are also across the street from the DMV or they offer registration services to avoid the DMV long waits. I was greeted buy the owner Mason right away and I had some questions before agreeing to his services including a coupon. He answered all my questions and my car is over 20 years old so discount did not apply and it was written on the coupon but he explained the reasons why and did what he could. (much appreciated) Mason is a hands on owner and he did my smog. I came at a good time and it took about 15 minutes super fast.
