They explained that it was due to inflation or something. The car works but I feel pretty betrayed. Do with this info, whatever you want. I only went here cause no other mechanic answered the phone. They were nice and respectful but that really doesn't matter as much as trustworthy service and keeping the customers best interests in mind. This small business was awesome. I came in needing to fix my bumper & they fixed it within 20 minutes. Customer service was amazing. The owner was a woman. Her and I had a great conversation. She was talking to me about her faith, her church, and her kids.Plus, I only paid like $30 for their services on such quick notice with no appointment. Super thankful I found this honest place. I needed my air system repaired on Saturday, labor day weekend. The shop was open and it was a ghost town, with a young looking mechanic and his even younger assistant. I was leery to leave my car with them but I was desperate because our family needed to head out on a 3 hour trip to Lancaster in over 90° weather. Customer service was great. The mechanic was honest in diagnosing the problem which required no additional parts, a heavy duty zip tie, and recharge the air. I recommend this place. Reuben is THE guy to not only do great work on your car, but to explain the reason and he struck me right away as an honest, hardworking man just trying to get by, like the rest of us! I'm tight with a dollar and didn't feel I was overcharged for any service recommended and the work was done timely and with great communication both before and after it was ready to pick up. I received an estimate from a different automotive shop in Hemet to make a repair on my air conditioning and fill it with freon . When the owner said $908.00 I was shocked and left. I found Cano Automotive on the internet and took my car there. They said the repair would be $250.00. They fixed a leak on the evaporator core and filled it with freon. My car was ready in 3 hours and they honored the estimate. This repair was done in April and my A C is still running ice cold. I'm very happy and appreciate their honesty. Had a terrible experience with this shop, he gave an estimate to fix the car, charged 500 more and the car is not working, so he is asking for an extra 1,600 after we paid 1,500 already, his worker did not even know how to use the battery cables, so he fried the radio in the car by putting red on black. They will work with you with scheduling. He even let us use his car when we couldn't figure out how to arrange getting our suburban to him because we live an hour away (yes, we drive an hour to have them work on our cars because it's worth it to have a trustworthy, fair mechanic). Can't speak highly enough about this place. Ruben and his staff are very knowledgeable about common or even not so common vehicle issue diagnosing and repair. It is very rare to come across a mechanic that not only takes pride in their craftsmanship, but doing so with integrity. I had an issue that was quoted $150, when I brought my vehicle in and upon further inspection, Ruben was honest enough to let me know that he did not need to do what was originally expected/quoted and explained patiently why. Fixed the issue, explained in detail why it was such an easy fix thus appeasing my curiosity and confidence of the issue being 100% addressed. The shop could have very easily charged me $150 and went about their day. I waited a couple months to leave a review. So I went in for a water pump replacment and radiator flush. I must say the customer service was great! After I dropped of the car they gave me a lift to my home. Now while it was in the shop we ran into a couple problems. I supplied the wrong water pump, and the leaking coolant was eating away at the power steering line. I was aware of this problem already so I respect his honesty and integerity of telling me about the powersteering line. I decided to change it at that time. The next problem it was a sunday. Not many places you can get orignal manufacture parts on a sunday afternoon. So monday came and Cano made sure we got the parts. He personally drove to Riverside and Temecula to get those two parts. He was able to replace the water pump and power steering hose. I would say the pricing was reasonable, considering the parts that needed replacing along with a radiator flush and labor. A few months later...my car has had no issues, no leaks, no nothing. I highly reccomend Cano as his customer service skills are fantastic!
