ICE had my truck for almost a month to diagnose a battery drain. I finally asked them to do an oil change out of pity that they couldn't find the problem, they needed to check fluids and top them off. So I suddenly owed $$500 for an oil change (and incorrect diagnosis) A much better shop later found it to be the glow plug.....and I had to put coolant in it when I got to Idaho. *beware* My car's air conditioning stopped running cold. Called ice auto to get it fixed, they quoted me $130-$150. I was good with that and took it in the next day. When they called us back they told my husband that there was a leak and it was leaking freon. Said they would honor the ac service and filling the Freon that day,for up to 90 days. However to fix the leak the part would be $250. Once my husband gets there they charge him $90 telling him they took the Freon out. And now to get it completely fixed it would be $250 for the part plus another $200 something for labor. left there with no air conditioning on top of being charged for nothing. Took the car to Dave's auto and got it fixed with no mention or findings of any leak and a cold ac for $80. Would never recommend ice auto or go there ever again! I took my ford there for antilock brake light. I had them repair a smog issue a month before on another vehicle which got resolved fine except for the odd charge for 10 gallons of gasoline for about 12 dollars a gallon at the end of that sale which i just paid and figured I should of got some gas before.. This time i go there for this ABS light issue and they guy at the desk tells me he took apart the dash and found a number of other things including sensors and non-brake related parts which adds up to over $1100.00. The guy never addresses the Anti Lock Brake light at all or my brake light issue. He never even mentions the ABS. He just wants to repair all these other things. Long story short. I go to another mechanic in town and they fix the ABS problem for under 200$. I ask the new mechanic about these fixes that ICE wanted to do and find out NONE of the things were needed at all that ICE wanted to fix and claimed I need to have repaired. Ice were blatantly untruthful. I never want to have this kind of experience again. read more

This place is amazing. I didn't bring my car here initially, but after calling nearby auto shops they were willing to take my car 30 min before closing on a Saturday. The guy who initially helped me is Paul. He was very thorough in the paperwork and taking down all the information that I was communicating to him. The price was great and affordable. During the time that my car was at their shop, a guy named Chris was very helpful in communicating with me everything that my car needed, giving me recommendations and quotes for those issues as well. The first time I came here, I dealt with a guy named Eric. He was very pleasant and didn't screw me out of my money. I came back a few months later and interacted with the owner. He didn't seem interested in helping me with my vehicle's issue. He was rude to the point he wasn't even listening fully to our conversation. I had to repeat myself several times. They also had two giant rottweilers in the shop floor, and the employees were laughing at me when I went out of my way to dodge these dogs as they growled at me. Why the hell would I want to walk up to two giant, growling dogs? I left and decided I would never return. I gave this place a 5/5 star rating before, but I'm changing that today. 1/5. The people and service at ICE was amazing. We were visiting from out of state and had transmission problems. They said they could replace our transmission in a few days so we said fine. It did not go quite as planned due to a supply issue, but with a two day delay they got the new transmission installed and gave us a call. We picked it up but there was an issue with the shifting. We immediately called and they said it was a linkage adjustment, bring it back. We did, expecting a quick fix, but it did not turn out that way. They made the adjustment, and we were off, but it still was not right. Brought it back and they worked on it some more. 2.5 hours later we were on our way and able to make the trip home to Washington state. We are used to these problems with major repairs on our 27 year old van/RV. We had a new engine installed at home 4 years ago and had nothing but problems for months before it all got sorted out. Now, unlike the company back home that did the engine, ICE did not leave us hanging for weeks at a time before working on it. ICE took us right in and did not try to put us off. They listened and worked hard to rectify the situation. They took it right back in and worked on it until they got it adjusted right. These guys cared to get it right and work on it until they did. I would give more stars if I could. I took my SUV in to get a new radiator and my first impression of the gentleman named Mike was very pleasant. He seemed very professional and spot on with giving my SUV a thorough inspection. He called me and let me know that I needed a new timing belt as well. Once Mike knew I was a military veteran he not only gave me a discount but he also changed my spark plugs and took care of my sensor accessory unit as well as topping off every fluid and a variety of other things needed to keep my vehicle tip top. Very professional and very trustworthy and really kept me informed with every deficiency he found. I told them I thought it was blend door.. they said it was possible blend door they recommended pulling of dash inspecting blend door Apparently they did not even inspect blend door. Had vehicle less then two hours still took 89.95 they checked Freon levels belt values fans which basically consists of knowing air is blowing out of vents which we already knew freon level test with gauge which we already knew. I brought vehicle here so they could tell me what was exactly wrong with a/c after some trouble shooting of my own.They wanted then charge 784.00 for a possible blen door that costs under 40dollars! They really are honest here. I brought in my Honda Civic Lx.. due to the a/c only blowing hot air. They fixed up the a/c and has been running great since then, this was about 3 months ago. Great customer service, I was given great information the whole way through and they found the underlying problem. For the first time I felt like I was not being burnt. Brought my sons 2002 Tahoe to Ice Radiator twice over the passed 6 months. The first time was to determine an over-heat issue. Fixed "right" the first time! Heating issue was solved and has not returned. Sitting in traffic with the AC running full speed, the temp gauge stays put! The second time was to determine a steering issue. The truck would not stay in the lane, it wandered left and then right. Mike and his crew placed the truck on the rack, found the problem(s)....FIXED "right" "again" the first time!! My sons and his two children are safe and that says it all. I'm now a customer of Ice Radiator and that's how I'm treated "like a customer".
