Found a great mechanic!!! Someone who didnt try confusing us to what we asked for, great price and very polite! We needed an a/c compressor replaced, we bought it on line but it didnt come with seals. Sal was able to get them in less than 1 day, and replace part that same day. About 4-5 hours and out mustang was done, no BS!!! I will recommend him, dont look anymore!!! He is definately our family mechanic!! Great customer service, phone and in person..Sal was great!! Great Mechanic!! Sal is the best. My car was making a strange rattling sound. 2013 Honda Fit Took it in thinking it was the outer tie rods. He checked it out and found the source of the noise. Ending up being a broken weld on the rear assembly He also showed me my tie rods. They were still good, just starting to show wear. Only charged me 35 for putting my car on the lift and he saved me a lot of money and time. Very Honest man. Very kind I continue to go on that reason alone. read more

I took my 2001 Toyota Camry because it had a check engine light and It was getting close to doing a smog check. So I ask Sal to please check it and let me know what it was wrong so he told me it was the catalytic converter so I went and bought and I ask him to install it. When he had the car I also asked him to please check a noise the car was making in the engine compartment. It sounded like it was the timing belt. He said it was an old car and the older they get the more noise it was going to have so he didn't even checked the noise. A month later the timing belt broke on the Camry. So he did not wanted to work on my car. So I will not recommend this place and I will not take my car ever again. I got nothing but excuses and the check engine still present up to this point. read more

Quite a few months ago, I had to replace a few hoses in my car. I started calling around for quotes and the lowest I could find was about $800. Then a friend suggested I call Sal to check his pricing. Now I live about 45 minutes away from Alpha Auto, so I wasn't willing to make the trek out to him unless it was worth it. Well, he was very responsive on the phone and told me he'd shop around and get back to me with an estimate. Within an hour or two, he called me right back with a quote about $200 less than what I found in my area. Definitely worth the drive out there. He wanted to see my car before he ordered the parts to be sure what he was ordering. (Luckily I was visiting my friend out there anyway, so at least the extra trek I needed to make had extra purpose.) Then, a few days later I came out to actually have him replace the part. He was very kind and welcoming. Without me inquiring, he brought in the new parts for me to look at before he started working. After finishing, he made sure to bring me out to my car to let me see the old parts which he removed from my car and, using a flashlight to point out the new parts in the car, he explained the work he did. Also, the final price was actually less than the quoted price. I'm not sure if that's a common occurrence, but it was a happy surprise nonetheless considering I expect it to go up if anything! I greatly appreciated both his competitive pricing as well as his sincere attention to detail. He went above and beyond in his transparency and in empowering me as the client with as much knowledge as he could. Everything went well with the hoses he installed and I haven't had to worry about them since. Unfortunately, he's not close enough that he could become my go-to mechanic, but I will absolutely be reaching out to him for any bigger auto work I have to do. read more

I needed my struts changed before an out of state trip. Sal provided an awesome service, honest opinion and a reasonable quote. The old struts have over 170k Miles on them and the back wheels were wearing out unevenly. That lead me to believe I needed my struts changed. After a quick diag. Sal told me that my struts would be able to make the trip. I really appreciated his honesty and professional opinion. I told him I would like to proceed with changing the struts. These people here have no idea what they are doing what so ever, i ordered an engine and had it delivered to them so they can install it in my Acura, they said the engine would not fit because the engine was a honda???????? if an auto repair shop does not know the simple fact that honda and acura are the same, i have no idea how they are in business. please do not waste your time with a shop that doesn't even know something so simple. Now i have to have my car towed again and deal with more expenses just because of ignorance. read more
