Absolutely delicious pizza. We had a 16" honey bear and asked for red sauce instead of white which they happily modified. This pizza had a great balance of crust, meat and cheese, perfect amount of sauce and delicious detectable garlic flavor. The overall texture and flavor was heaven in the mouth. Char on the cup and char pepperoni was perfect and the cups held the hot honey creating tiny pools of salty sweet crunch. Our only modification, if we had our druthers, would be a touch more honey. Definitely recommend using some chili flake to spice it up. The dining space is small but we were able to sit at the bar and eat. The young man at the front was, attentive, helpful and upbeat. He was made for the service industry. As a side note, somehow we each only needed one napkin, the perfectly crunchy, not too thick or thin crust had outstanding hold so no grease spilled out. I have Celiac disease, am on vacation and don't have a kitchen to cook. I have to eat gluten free. Luckily Ranger Joe's Pizza popped up when I searched for gluten free food on Google Maps. I phoned in an order and within 20 minutes I had a hot $16 meat lovers pizza on gluten free cauliflower crust. I added some cayenne pepper sauce. It was pretty good! While I was on the phone I asked the staff if they could change their gloves so I don't get sick from cross contamination. The guy on the other end (Nehemiah per the receipt) asked what exactly they should avoid touching so they could be extra careful. I said, "no wheat, barley, or rye." He was so kind and said they'd wipe everything down and wash the cutters for me so that I wouldn't get sick. I seriously appreciate it as I have stopped going to other pizza restaurants because people don't take my Celiac seriously. There is a small bar to eat with maybe 4-6 barstools. They have a large patio outside and they do have bathroom access. For my yearly Montana trip, this will definitely be a place I come back for a repeat visit because of the care they took with my Celiac disease. Visited May 2023 read more

We are from Seattle and visiting family in Kalispell. I had a hankering for pizza and Ranger Joe's was new to us so we wanted to give it a try. The service was friendly, the wait shorter than expected and the pizza out did our expectations. We had the 16" meat pizza, Detroit style pepperoni with black olive and a slice of the Detroit style pork belly. We say yes to them all and we love the Mike's Hot Honey drizzle. I love a good Yelp checkin freebie! They gave me free cheese bread, which was HUGE and delicious. This place is best for carry out. They have very limited indoor seating and could not accommodate a group. But if I lived in the area I would definitely come here for my carry out pizza needs! They have thin NY style crust and a deep dish Detroit style crust. Both crusts are hand made and never frozen. They are VERY generous with their portion sizes! I ordered the 12" Korean BBQ Pork Belly pizza with a NY crust. It was really good. My only complaint is that it had TOO MUCH toppings. With the thin crust it made it hard to eat and they could save money and increase their profits if they put less toppings on it! The 12" pizza easily is enough for TWO PEOPLE! Small little locally owned and clearly loved pizza shop. My wife and I tried a 12" NY Style Honey Bear - phenomenal, exceptional, mind-blowingly good. I may have said a few expletives within my mind with every bite that I took - it was that good. My kids got a plain 12" cheese pizza... they don't eat crusts so I gladly consumed them on their behalf. I basically inhaled my half of the pizza and highly considered ordering one of the other pizzas that Joe recommended - the Korean BBQ Pork Belly - told me it's all made in-house and actually won some awards down in Vegas for it. Well, I did manage to get a small slice of the Pork Belly - and it did not disappoint. If you like BBQ pizzas and incredibly good pork belly - then this is your pizza! Lot of guys launch their dream restaurant only to give up after realizing the level of work involved - but I don't think that's the case with Joe - I could still see a love and passion for what he does. Thankful for my waistline that I don't live in the area or I'd be in trouble... Service was fairly quick, about 20 minutes when we were there around 5pm, not many waiting in line, but plenty of calls and orders coming in while we were there. I was hesitant to try Ranger Joe's because I thought they only did deep dish pizzas which I am not a fan of. A friend told me they do other kinds as well, so I gave it a shot yesterday and got a slice of the Kalispell Sausage. I went back today after ordering a small Hawaiian style pizza and I am SO HAPPY I TRIED IT! It is absolutely delicious!!! Super friendly staff and super easy online ordering. I chose to go in and pick up my pizza because there's no delivery fee doing it that way. I was greeted with smiles and amazing smells. Thanks for bringing a little sunshine to my day!!! read more

Awesome Pizza! Found this place by searching yelp reviews. The five star review was well deserved. As soon as we got in the door we were greeted and asked if we had ever been here. He explained all the pizza varieties and offered suggestions. Pizza was quick and delicious, New York style supreme not sure which I liked better the crust or the sauce! just a few stools to sit at inside and tables on the patio. We sat outside it was a chilly day so we were alone. Ranger Joe came out and greeted us and visited with us. Told us to check out Lone Pine State park overlook.
