It's definitely set up to service tourists to Glacier National Park. It's a combination convenience store, gift shop and restrauant. It's clean, neat and tidy. The menu is fairly limited, with an offering of salads, soup, sandwiches, and burgers with a few other items like chicken strips. They do have a small number of beers on tap and a pie list. Jan went with the "Big Dipper", a traditional French dip sandwich ($19) she said it was OK, 3/5. I went with the North West grilled chicken sandwich ($20) that comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, melted Swiss cheese bacon and mayo, 4/5. We each ordered French fries that were good, 4/5. Our server was good. The sandwiches are a little pricey, but this is a seasonal restrauant. The close in a few days and won't open again till May, 2027. We had the keylime pie with dinner at home. As always, Jersey Boy's was fire. The pizza is so good... This place honestly has some of the best pizza you will find (and not just in NW MT). The pizza is thin, crispy, tangy, and always cooked perfectly... It's no kidding as good as anything you'll find in Jersey or NYC. Plus, the food is really well priced (the lunch special is two slices, two drinks, runs $12 w/ tip). The pizzeria is clean, the staff is friendly/accommodating, and it's just a super chill place to come get high quality NYC-style pizza and cold MT craft beers. Be advised... The pizzeria recently moved (last year) so they're no longer in downtown Whitefish... They're now located on the outskirts of town on HWY 93 headed to Kalispell. The steak was cooked perfectly, flavorful and juicy, with herb butter, asparagus, and roasted tomatoes. The pasta was rich, creamy, and covered with freshly grated cheese, but still balanced and not overly heavy. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and clearly prepared with a lot of attention to detail. Coming from New York, where we are spoiled with great Italian restaurants, I can say Abruzzo Kitchen is one of the best Italian meals I've had outside of New York. Waiter also claim its their favorite and I can see why. 3/5 - Fennel Sausage Pizza - The extra cheese adds a great creaminess to the sauce. On top of it the sausage and bell pepper makes a great topping as it tasted fresh. Only complaint the bottom was very burnt. Usually I accept a certain level of burnt crust from this type of pizza, but all i tasted was burnt dough. Ruin more than half the pizza. 3.8/5 - Wild Boar Ragu - The noodles used tasted very fresh and homemade. Velvet-y and slides off the tongue and grabs all the sauce easily. The price was way higher than the rest, but flavor was more flat than expected. Very little game flavor from the wild boar which is a huge plus. For the price there are better flavors on the menu. 3.5/5 - Classic Bolognese - Despite the same plus from the pasta noodles, the sauce was another letdown. Very watery for a bolognese. Usually its thick meat sauce where the pasta can pick up the sauce with ease. However this one was very watery jsut slides off the pasta made it hard to eat it all without a spoon or something under neath to catch the sauce. Flavor was okay tasted meaty tomato sauce. The fresh, light grated cheese to put on top of the pizza was surprisingly the stand out. No more dried parmesan for me in the future. Packed every night, so make sure to make reservation if possible.
