We purchased a new home 11 months ago, and thought it prudent to get an inspection prior to the end of the main warranty period. Another family in our community recommended Brandon, who owns Ranger Home Inspection. Brandon is knowledgeable, competent, and detail-oriented. He knows when things haven't been done correctly and documents it well, taking photos and videos where appropriate. The report he sent us (in fewer than 24 hours) covered everything we needed inspection-wise and then some, including FYI things he felt we should know and reference information about our appliances (including model and serial number). We aren't planning on moving again, but if we were, we'd have Brandon do our inspection. Highly recommend. read more

Brandon was thorough, detailed, and clearly communicated any issues that we had. I would highly recommend him for any inspection needed.

I am so happy that I find this home on yelp for my first home purchase in Austin! Brandon did a great job listing out all the issues I need to know to so that we can maintain the home properly and really call it home. We did a walkthrough at the end of the inspection which is super helpful. read more

I was able to set this up online and mostly dealt via email/text. Both Brandon and Michael were fantastic. Michael did my inspection and was very patient with his explanations and even gave some suggestions on how to fix some minor findings. Overall we were very happy with the inspection and the report. The price seems to be somewhat standard for the area, so definitely pick someone that has great reviews like these guys. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Brandon from Ranger Homes Inspection did our final home inspection and he is very thorough and knowledgable in doing so, He explained me every issue in detail before sending the final report which helped me to visualize and what kind of verification I can do to confirm if Seller actually fixed the issues. For couple of issues he found he gave recommendations for the specialists needed.Highly recommend his services! read more

My experience with Ranger Home Inspection was exceptional!  In today's COVID market, there's no guarantee of a perfect schedule but these guys were responsive and SUPER flexible.  Brandon answered all of my questions prior to the inspection and provided an honest and thorough assessment to help manage my expectations.  He will not just take your money if he knows that he can't provide you with a thorough and complete report--that's rare with today's housing market. His protégé, Michael, conducted my inspection and offered me the opportunity to meet with him to explain his findings after he completed his walk-thru.  He was excellent!  Very professional and he communicated his findings to me in a very "easy to understand" format.  He was patient and answered my follow-up questions thoroughly. His professionalism was more evident when he actually provided follow-up on some of the items that he needed to research further. And when I reached out to him (days after my inspection was completed) for further clarification on some things that were not addressed in the report, he quickly responded and explained what he observed, answering my questions completely. As a retired service member who has relocated several times over the years--the quality of service I received from Ranger Home Inspection was absolutely top-notch!  I totally recommend this company to anyone that needs a home inspection.  In today's stressful home buying market, there are not many guarantees.  But I believe Ranger Home Inspection will provide you with the same level of service they provided to me.  They have a highly qualified and knowledgeable team that will go over and beyond to perform their job AND provide you with thorough answers to your questions so that you have a better understanding of what to expect! read more

Working with Brandon was really easy and educational. There are a lot of "trade secrets" when it comes to construction and code, but Brandon is very eager to explain and elaborate on the real consequences of overlooking potential issues that might come back in the future. He's thorough, professional and honest. This is about value, not cost. If you consider that a few hundred dollars might be "too much", when you're investing north of several hundred thousand on a house, look elsewhere. Report was quick, well written and easy enough to understand even for a rookie. 5 stars all the way. read more

This review has been a long time coming and we are sorry it has taken us this long to remember to write it. We had a home inspection done by Brandon Feltner in January 2022 for a home we had an accepted offer on. Everything with Brandon was smooth and flawless from scheduling the appointment, to the time it took between scheduling and the appointment day itself, to receiving the report. Everything was done and completed within less than a week, and this was during the New Year holiday. Brandon was extremely thorough in his inspection of our potential home and his inspection report was one of the most user-friendly, easy to read, and thorough inspection reports I have ever seen. My husband and I were present at the home during the inspection and Brandon answered all of our questions along the way, never once making us feel like we were bothersome or keeping him from his work. He was patient, kind, and explained everything to us in detail; this same patience and thoroughness continued even after he had sent us the inspection report. We had additional questions/concerns/etc., and Brandon answered every single one of them - and what really impressed us was that he gave thorough and detailed answers in his email as well... mind you, this was after he was done with his inspection and sending the report, where we feel most others would have tried to give short answers and be done with the "job." We ended up not going with that home for reasons unrelated to the inspection and are currently in the process of searching again. We really appreciated Brandon's work and partnership and as we are going through the home search process again, we remembered him and hope that we will have the pleasure of using his services once again very soon. We absolutely recommend this company and they are the only ones we will refer people to. read more

We have had Brandon do two home inspections for us. He is very thorough and provides a very clear report that can be used with the seller to identify what needs changed. It seems like he finds everything. Very happy with our experience and will be using Ranger Home Inspections everytime we have a need. Highly recommended. read more

We had Brandon come out 3 times to inspect our new home. The first being the pre-drywall stage, the second was just before closing, and the final time was 1 year later for a warranty inspection. We're beyond grateful for the work he's done at our home. He's got a great eye and knows what he's looking for. When speaking to his clients, he seems to gauge their level of understanding and tailors his communication style to fit the needs of the person. That's a huge deal for me. If someone really understands something, they can put advanced concepts into simple words and he nails that. If you're looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and honest inspector, Brandon's your guy. read more

I was referred to Brandon with Ranger Home inspection by some friends of ours as he did their inspection as well and he really did a great job. We had a 3 day option period and he made room in his schedule to get over to our house the same day we called him. Not only did he move his schedule around for us, his inspection was very thorough and really let us know everything we should or shouldn't worry about and what would be worth negotiating with the seller to fix. Great job. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Austin area. read more

Brandon knows his stuff. Recently, my family and I purchased a new home and we wanted to have an inspection done. He gladly came out and provided a detailed report and a list that addressed all areas which needed to be fixed. Being new construction, you would think there wasn't anything that needed to be fixed; however, with his help we were able to provide the builder-whom greatly adhered to all issues, and got the house ready for us. read more

Brandon came highly recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I hired him to do a pre-drywall inspection on my new construction home.  To start with he answered my call right away and he went out of his way to make the process as seamless and easy as possible for me. He was able to get me on his schedule right away and offered to communicate directly with the sales office to get the paperwork filled out, which was a big help.  Immediately after the inspection we spoke and he  identified all the issues, explaining everything in terms I could understand.   He also explained the process going forward with the builder. I'm so happy that I hired Brandon because there are issues that must be addressed on my home before the drywall is installed and as a layperson I would never have been able to identify these issues on my own.  Brandon  is clearly a very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, reliable and experienced inspector and I will definitely be hiring him for the final inspection of my home. I highly recommend Brandon!! read more

Brandon's inspection abilities are acute, thorough, and actionable. I needed a next-day inspection service, and he was able to accommodate it (even showing up extra early prior to the appointment time to get a head start on the inspection). In explaining various details of the state of the house, he provided extra recommendations on how to fix each identified item. Additionally, he returned a 40-page report the same day with stunning description and pictures included. read more
