I requested a 400+ Point Inspection before closing on a new construction, which covered the foundation, roof, attic, insulations, driveway, patio, HVAC system, walls, windows, stairways, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen appliances. Chance was very meticulous, methodical, and patient when explaining his findings. When I showed him some aesthetic flaws of the new built, he took photos and included them in his report even though they were not structural issues as a favor for me. The best part was that he spent time physically walking me through his assessments by showing me inside and outside of the house. It was a very helpful gesture on his part. I don't know how much a general inspection should normally cost, but a friend told me $420 is a great value. Based on Chance's professionalism, patience, and customer service, I felt confident that I would hire him again for any future needs. read more

I was very impressed with the inspection by House Check Austin. Pictures in the attic showing problems that needed correction and something so minor as a level being placed on the concrete pad of the air conditioning condenser showing it a "bubble" off and explaining why it was important to be corrected. I'm selling my current house, and if the buyers are asking for an inspection, I hope they don't use House Check Austin. read more

Waste of money! Over priced. Missed lots of things I caught after closing on my new build home. Report was very short with very minimal pictures or areas inspected. Doesn't even go on roof or use a drone, only looks from the ground. Paid extra for the sprinkler system, which they didn't even check, because I had a broken sprinkler and missing some areas where sprinklers should be, now I have many areas of dead grass. I would highly advise you to use a better company and inspector. read more

I had previously used HouseCheck for a pre-pour inspection and was very satisfied with the service provided so I used them again for my more intensive, pre-drywall inspection. Nathan did an outstanding job not only finding all of the items I noticed but pointed out a number of critical items that had not been done properly or had been done in a sub-standard way. Nathan did an incredibly thorough job and delivered a very professional, post-inspection report lighting fast later the same day! I can't say enough good things about HouseCheck and you can be sure I'll be using them for the rest of our build. Don't hesitate to call them if you need an inspection. read more

It was great working with Nate! He is clear and courteous. This was my first time dealing with mold so I was very unsure how to proceed. He offered guidance with next steps and put me at ease. Thanks Nate! read more

Nathan was superb. He is one of the most thorough inspectors. Excellent experience on inspecting my home purchase.

Jimmy was a fantastic help in our home buying process. He was very detailed and helped explain any questions that we had about the report, and gave us very helpful recommendations. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for an inspection. Thank you! read more

My husband and I were in need of an inspector for our upcoming home purchase. HouseCheck was recommended to us by a friend and we've had nothing but the best experience so far. Very reasonable cost, was able to add on additional features to be inspected. Brett took his time explaining and walking us through everything. Our [future] home is in good shape, but Brett still identified a few things that needed repairs and few improvements that we should make. He was patient and thorough. The report is about 40 pages with pictures, arrows, and clear and concise language. The report was prompt.. we received it the same night!!! We even needed him to come back out for a re-inspection. Overall, we are happy customer and highly recommend! read more

Chance did a great job doing an inspection on my new home! New or old, call these guys before buying. The inspection report was amazing, very thorough and really helped save us from potential future problems we would have had on our new construction home. read more

Extremely satisfied! Eric was our home inspector and Jimmy did a sewer scope. They both were extremely professional and did all the due diligences and pointed to every problem he found. I've received exhaustive report on everything important. I was happy to see not only small problems but some bigger concerns pointed out with the property. I felt like it was worth my money. Definitely recommend. read more

This is the second time I hired HouseCheck for home inspection. Chance as usual did a very thorough job inspecting the house; Chance met me few mins before inspection, listened to me on the concerns that I had on the property, upon completion of the inspection, he spent a great deal of time walking me through the findings and suggesting best practices on dealing with the issues that were found. He also eased me on some of the concerns I had by providing examples and comparison of issues at other properties. Overall it was a great experience working with Chance at HouseCheck. read more

Jimmy was very professional and made sure he answered all my questions! I would recommend his service.

Jimmy is a very professional inspector and react fast to all our questions. Happy to corporate with him.

We used HouseCheck for two recent home inspections. We had Jimmy Cannon as our inspector both times and he was very thorough in his inspections. He gave us clear explanations both in his report and in his debrief. He answered all of our questions (and we had a lot!) and also let us know when we needed to follow up with a licensed specialist for more information. HouseCheck as a company was very responsive to helping us get inspections during holiday weeks and it's super easy to work with them! read more

Nathan did well! This is my first time buying a home AND was not physically present in the area - so he helped me through all the steps and answered all my questions easy and hard ones - my realtor and him were able to work together to facetime and do incredible walkthroughs, the reports are great easy and organized and have great detail - Nathan has great character and puts 100% of his effort and humorous as well read more

We used house check for the 1 year mark on our house. I can not say enough good things about them. They were fast, reliable and easy to work with. Nate was our inspector and he was awesome. This service saved us thousands of dollars in future repairs. There were a few things I had mentioned to the builder I though might need repairs that they did not take seriously. As soon as house check came to inspect our house they validated that it was an issue the builder would need to address and put it in their report. Next thing I knew the builder was more then willing to help out and address the issues. I would highly recommend using their services read more

Jimmy Cannon did an excellent job inspecting my property. He cared about doing a thorough job. * He provided advanced warning before arriving * He took additional time to review the highlights of the report and point out areas I needed to pay special attention too * We received his inspection report on the same day of the inspection * His report was thorough and easy to read; it utilized common terminology that was easy to understand read more

Great service! I had bought a hundred year old house and HouseCheck sent over their old house expert and he was very through.

After researching many house inspection companies I chose HouseCheck due to the rave reviews and customer service on phone. With a busy schedule I appreciated the text reminders and the introduction text from Chance, our inspector. Chance our inspector came out to our new build to do a pre-drywall inspection. He was friendly, had great communication, provided a detailed inspection report in a timely manner that was not only easy to read but also included detailed photos. I will contact HouseCheck again for my 2 additional inspections. read more

We have used HouseCheck now for two inspections for our new build In Leander, TX. Every time they have been very responsive, professional and efficient. Reports are delivered in less than 24 hours after the inspection and very detailed. Chase (pre drywall) and Brett (foundation) both delivered exceptional service for both inspections and a very thorough walk through of area that needs attention after the appointment. read more

We have used Nathan twice as he was recommended to us by our Realtor. He is thorough and so quick when sending reports! Nathan has the best attention to detail and is super easy to work with! HouseCheck will always be my go-to from now on. Thanks again Nathan! read more

The staff at HouseCheck were everything I needed: quick to get back to me and confirm an appointment (I was able to secure an appointment the next day!), professional, and thorough. Jimmy did an inspection on my house and I couldn't have been more grateful for his expertise and his ability to use language that I could understand in the inspection report in order to make the best decision possible. read more

My husband and I are 100% happy and thankful that we found HouseCheck while we were shopping around for a third party inspector for our new build. Other comparable reputable inspectors were charging $100-200 more, so we just went with the most cost-effective option - and we are thankful we did! They say "you get what you pay for," and based on our experience, we paid for a quality, 45-page inspection report that caught all findings from minor to major. Our builder happily received the report and reviewed each page prior to our final walk-through. We showed the report to a family member with past experience with inspections, and he attested that the report was very detailed and thorough. In addition, our inspector, Jimmy, was just wonderful! Professional, courteous, knowledgable, great communicator, patient and kind. Couldn't ask for more! Knowing we were new homeowners, he took his time showing/ demonstrating/ explaining all findings so that we can be prepared to follow up on repairs with our builder. He also included our Realtor in the communication so that we'd all be on the same page. Response and turnaround time is superb. HouseCheck, and specifically Jimmy, is now who we recommend all our friends and family to for their inspection needs. Thank you! read more

Thought I would share a resource for folks like us who are in the first year of home ownership. We had a home inspection company come out last week and do a home study for us. They were here for 2-3 hours and were super in depth. We received a full report that covered tons of information to help with the push for LGI to take care of items that need it. The cost was $355 and so well worth it. If anyone would like to get an idea of what is covered, IM me your email and I am happy to share. Now begins the push to get things covered, but I feel much stronger having something in writing with photos. Thought others might be interested too. Aaron Gillum did a wonderful job for us - 512-638-7023. BTW I am getting nothing for the referral just wanted to share a resource in case others are interested. read more

HouseCheck was responsible in the fact that they called to reschedule our appointment for a later time, since they were hit with Covid. I'm happy that they would not send someone who could be passing it. Our inspector Eric went through and found some items that needed attention. He also noted some other details that were not structural but would be good to look at like. He gave us good information and suggestions that would help maintain our home. Would definitely recommend! read more

Quick reliable service and a very thorough report. Covered everything I needed and more.

Chance was extremely thorough and provided my wife and I all of the information and details that we needed. I highly recommend him. He has definitely earned our business moving forward! read more

I can't speak highly enough about how impressive HouseCheck was. The reputation of the company was upheld with my experience. Thorough, available, and a great value. read more

I used HouseCheck for two properties. They did the most throughout report I've ever seen. Eric was extremely patient with us as well. He explained what everything meant and what he thought we should note before getting the actual report. Also, the actual report came a couple of hours after he did a 6 hour inspection of our fourplex. Highly recommend if you want a detailed report from professionals! read more

Housecheck did a thorough inspection of my home and gave a detailed report. In this market the seller refused to do any repairs but gave a few peanuts in cash but hey it's at least something :) I recommend Eric and the team at Housecheck that came highly recommended by my realtor. read more

I've used lots of inspection companies for several house purchases and the one I got from HouseCheck was the best. What I liked, versus the others: + Photos are right next to the section in question (rather than having all the photos grouped at the end, where you'd have some troubling trying to find what photo was being discussed in the text) + Photos are largest of any report I've ordered + Colored lines and circles added to the photos to show the issues. (Most other inspectors do this, but not all do.) + Problems listed in red type, black for the boilerplate info, allowing you to easily zoom in on the problem parts. + Thermal imaging of the electrical panel and hot water. I don't think I've ever seen this on an inspection report before. + Summary of all the problems at the end of the report. There were a couple minor issues. First, the report was delivered a day after they said I'd get it. Also, sometimes the exact same long caption is repeated under a series of photos, forcing the reader to compare each caption to see if anything was changed. Better would the caption to say "Same as previous." However, I still consider the report I got to be worth five stars, and HouseCheck is now my go-to for any other reports I may need. read more

Great inspection by Jimmy Cannon. We had the anniversary home inspection done before the builder warranty runs out in June. Very thorough inspection despite the fact that the house is occupied, there are furnitures and we the homeowners work from home. Report arrived in my inbox practically few hours later. Love all those cool pictures especially the thermal imaging ones. I love my 10 months old house even more now because the house is doing really well even after the terrible winter storm back in Feb. read more

The initial phone call was courteous and appointment was set up quickly. HouseCheck offered the best price in town. Jimmy Cannon, our inspector, was extremely thoroughly and inspected every corner of our new build. He gave a walkthrough of things that were major and explained the most important details of his inspection. Jimmy was courteous and respected the home enough to take off his shoes before entering after our muddy exterior walkthrough. He even threw in some EXTRA services for us since it was a new build! We received our report the same day. Our report was 29 pages long, so you know what details were put in it. Don't pass them up. This company has a 5 star rating for a reason! read more

saved me from getting into a bad deal! Definitely recommend for their high quality work!!

I called to get an inspection before doing some home improvements, we wanted to check for anything we may not have noticed that needed fixing. They were quick to schedule me and offered reasonable pricing. Our inspector, Jimmy, was punctual and very thorough. We appreciated him letting us know not only what needed fixing but why. He caught some utility installation issues that we need to fix for safety reasons, and we would have missed them otherwise. He couldn't have done a better job, we definitely think we got our money's worth. Definitely recommend. read more

Carol did a fantastic job with our pre-purchase home inspection. She was very professional, very knowledgeable, very thorough and she clearly put a lot of time and effort into our inspection. Every item in the report was written clearly and concisely and was accompanied by a photo that further reinforced and clarified her description. Bottom line, if you're looking for added piece-of-mind in the home buying process, we strongly recommend Carol from HouseCheck. read more

HouseCheck was awesome! From the initial call with Danielle to our inspector, Nate. Very thorough and helpful!

All aspects of the process were very easy and professional. Booking was done for the next day and at a very reasonable price. Inspector was Jimmy and he was awesome. Very friendly, gave me a thorough walkthrough of the findings in a very honest and transparent manner. He's very knowledgeable and will tell you the facts and will let you know when he DOESN'T have all the facts which is very important as well so you know to have it further evaluated if it seems important enough. He sent in a very well documented report that same day and with his help, the seller agreed to address all of the potential issues with the house. I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat and recommend that you do as well. read more
