I had a great experience with David He spent several hours thoroughly inspecting the entire property and was attentive to detail. The inspection report was also excellent. Everything he found was clearly documented and explained, and he specifically pointed out the items that needed closer attention, maintenance, or repairs. Highly recommended read more

I'm a landlord with multiple rental properties and have used A-Complete Home Inspection since purchasing my first home in 2004. I was immediately impressed by David's thoroughness and attention to detail. Since then, I've relied on his services for every purchase--8 inspections over the past 22 years. I highly recommend attending the inspection in person; David not only identifies issues but also explains how to fix and prevent them. read more

David is very knowledgeable and very thorough! He also offered us to be present so he could point out his findings which was very valuable.

David was great to work with for a VA loan home inspection. He was informative and gave tips on where and how to improve the home. Several big items were found during the inspection that had been done during the building of the home. He was very meticulous. He had great recommendations for who to go to for follow up items. read more

I recently had a home inspected by David, and had a great experience. David is extremely skilled at what he does, and looked around the house like a private investigator looking for clues. He spotted small unassuming things that upon looking deeper meant something more serious. My dad and I came out with him as he suggested, and I was so glad that we did, as he walked us through step by step what he was checking and explained how serious each issue was. David is also a genuine, kind person. He could tell I was getting overwhelmed as this is my first house, and took things slow and was very compassionate through a very stressful process. After the process, he sent a very detailed report with images, that made the negotiations with the seller much more smooth and clear. I would 100% use this service and work with David again if needed and will be recommending him to any friends going through this process. read more

David did a very thorough job. Explained everything in understandable terms. Very professional. Highly recommend.

David provided a very thorough service. He was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and personable. He went out of his way to be helpful. He was so good that we are going to hire him to conduct an inspection on our own home, preemptively, in case we ever decide to sell in the future. Highly recommended! read more

I was taken aback by the level of detail in the inspection. They caught a bunch of stuff for our builder to fix. 100% would recommend.

BEWARE! Do NOT set an appointment with this company thru Yelp! NO SHOWED OUR APPT! I requested quotes, he wrote me and sent me appointment times available and I selected one of his available time slots and confirmed our appointment. Two days in advance. Two hour window. No show. No call. No message. Just completely wasted my morning waiting for him to arrive and get this done and now I'm back to square one to contact a competitor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

David Crist came out and did a thorough job on a home inspection. He walked me through the process, explained things as he found then (good and bad), and gave a report that included pictures and easy to understand descriptions. I would highly recommend him for anyone considering purchasing a home. And his price is extremely reasonable. Very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you David! read more

Worked with David. Great service he walked through the property inside and out. He explained everything to us and broke it down if we didn't understand it. Would strongly recommend David. read more

We are buying a house and new to Texas. Since the house was previously a rental, we were worried about what problems might be hiding that we can't see, so we wanted a really thorough inspection so we knew what we are getting into. Our realtor recommended 4 different inspectors and I chose David based on the previous reviews of him being very detailed. If you are looking for an inspector that will explain every detail he is inspecting, provide history and reasons for current code, and suggest future maintenance suggestions, David is a great option. We spent over 4 hours walking and talking about every part of the house, inside and out. His report is just as detailed. We came out with a long list of repairs and even the seller realtor was amazed how much was found. read more

I am very disappointed with David from a complete inspection. He made promises he didn't keep and then stopped responding to my emails. David made a very big mistake during my home inspection, the damage was calculated at $826. I documented this with photos. Initially he argued and tried to deny this, but after reviewing video evidence from our nest camera, it was obvious he was at fault... and he agreed to pay me the full amount of the damage he caused. Later, he only paid a portion of that damage, but promised to make me payments each month. Well, the payments never came and David stopped responding to my emails. It has now been months. What poor character and no integrity. Should you trust this man to be in your home? Can you trust him when he makes promises? Can you trust him to make things right? Can you trust him to do what he says? Can you trust him to not dodge you? I hope he doesn't cause you the same loss as me... I am out hundreds of dollars. read more

David was extremely thorough, very reasonably priced, easy to schedule (despite our builder making it as difficult as possible), and provided all completed paperwork very quickly so I was able to get it back to our builder in a time crunch. After experiencing on going issues with our builder's flooring contractor, it gave us peace of mind to close on a home we knew there were issues with. David identified several issues we were able to have remedied that we would have never even known were an issue if not for his insight. Regardless of purchasing new construction, it pays to have someone on your side when making such a big investment. read more

We liked David so much we hired him for two separate home inspections. David was super easy to work with, very patient in explaining everything, and very professional. For the second inspection in particular, we had a very short option period, and while David didn't initially have an appointment available, he made it work and turned around an inspection and report for us within 48 hours of us contacting him. Thank you David! read more

I'm happy we had David do our home inspection. He was quick to respond and set up an appointment for when we needed it. He was thorough, took his time, and sent a detailed report showing everything he found. We were able to present this to the seller and luckily in our case received a credit to fix the repairs. Thank you David for your help! read more

I am buying a home in the Austin area from out-of-state and David was super helpful in giving me peace-of-mind in my purchase even though I wasn't able to be there in-person for the inspection. The inspection turn-around time was surprisingly quick, the walk-through call immediately following inspection was very valuable, and the final inspection report was super thorough (a dozen or so pages, complete with supporting photos). read more

If you're searching for a reputable, thorough home inspector, look no further! After carefully reading through all of the other reviews, we decided to go with A-Complete Home Inspection, and are so glad we did. Upon me reaching out, David contacted me back only a few hours later to get our home inspection set up. I called him on a Friday, and he was able to come out on Monday - such a quick turnaround! Once at the home inspection, David took every care to walk me through each item he was going to put into the report. He explained what everything meant in terms I could understand (this is my first time buying a home), and talked me through the things which I should pay special attention to. His report and full write up came just several hours after finishing the inspection, with a huge amount of detail and photos of everything. David was such a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a very knowledgeable home inspector. read more

Needed a home inspection and David was able to come the next day. He allowed/encouraged us to come along during the inspection. Glad we did as we learned so much about the home we were buying. He really knew alot. Pointed out hail damage and roofer was impressed that he did, said most inspectors don't. Gave us report sooner that promised as we were on a short option period. Report was easy to understand, had everything needed to help us negotiate with seller. read more

First time home buyer here. I could not have asked for a better inspection experience. With the holidays being right in the middle of the period between bidding and closing, I thought it might be impossible to get the utilities turned on at the house and schedule an inspection. David worked with me and came out on a Sunday. Opening up with an overview of the inspection process, David included me in every step of the inspection, which took about 2.5 hours. He was happy to answer any questions I had, and recognizing that I was a first time home buyer, made extra effort to suggest tips like how to keep the clay under the foundation wet to avoid future foundation problems, how to clean my clothes dryer vents, and how to prolong the life of roof fixtures that might need to be replaced soon. I felt very confident in the information he gave me, and even when there were problems found, he gave me detailed information on what repair actions needed to be taken, and what I needed to tell a repair person about the problem. At times he spoke candidly, giving tips on how one might fix a problem themselves. I am pretty handy when it comes to repairs, and I don't feel like what he mentioned was out of my element. (He didn't suggest I do anything dangerous, but small fixes to small problems). The report was in my inbox (and my agent's inbox) 2 days later...the day after Christmas. His fee was competitive...I wasn't able to find a cheaper quote. All in all, I would recommend David and AComplete to anyone. read more

David was outstanding! He was professional, honest, and very patient. He took his time and pointed out many issues to perform research on. The inspection lasted approximately 3 hours, then following day we received a very detailed report including pictures and his explanations of what we need to pay attention to. We couldn't have gone with a better home inspector, my fiance and I highly recommend this company. If you are looking for a pleasant experience with a home inspector, call them. read more

Incredible! Seriously...incredible work! As a local real estate investor that focuses on foreclosures, I need the best inspector on the planet and I finally found the one. After using multiple inspectors in the Austin area and never being very impressed, I was directed to David by my agent. What most inspectors would have spent 2 hours on, David stuck it out 4 full hours and into the dark to make sure we knew all the hidden secrets of what was going to end up being a TERRIBLE investment purchase. He attacked this house like he had a personal vendetta against it, and it paid off well with a weighty 38 page report!!! Holy Smokes! Most reports I got in the past from other inspectors were 14 pages, despite the condition of the property being poor. Ultimately, David saved me about $35,000 and countless days of frustration by uncovering all the flaws of the property. David will be my secret weapon on all my property acquisitions going forward...no doubt in my mind at all! read more

He came out a d did a thorough inspection of a property. He pointed a lot out that I took notice prior so he was very detailed in his inspection. I'd recommend his services again. Not so sure about price. It was 300. Seems some may have gotten a better deal but perhaps it depends on what service he provides as he dude a full house inspection top to bottom 2 story home. read more

David did a thorough job and was extremely nice. He took the time to explain many things about the house that I needed to know as a first time home buyer. Also, I wanted a termite inspection and he arranged for his guy Harvey to come out. He also did a great job and was very pleasant to work with. My relator told me that compared to many inspectors out there David was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. The prices were great also, it was $250 for the home inspection plus $25 for the sprinkler inspection (2100 sq foot house built in 2007). The termite inspection was an additional $70. ~$350 is much better than many of the places I was trying to book an inspection from. I just got lucky that the ones my relator recommended were booked and I got on yelp to find David. read more

Absolutely go with this company for your home inspection!! My husband and I found his name on a recommended list and just happened to choose him. I'm SO glad that we did! He was WONDERFUL!! I stayed throughout the entire inspection and he taught me the intricacies of our new home. He was thorough in every sense of the word... He found each little detail, explained thoroughly, and just did his job well. No stone was left unturned. Then, within a day or two, he sent an incredible report with pictures, great explanations, and each little thing that he found.
