We hired them for our home inspection. We got a package - which included two inspections (ore-closing) and then 11 month warranty. We absolutely loved the qualify of work they do. It's very detailed and structured. From checking if foundation is in place, if there cracks in nook and corner to any cosmetic changes, they include it all. They can also check The health of your pipes (if they have any debris from construction ) as an additional service . They found out some nice flaws that saved us lot of money. Greenworks took payment quickly and came out to inspect the house but when it came to writing my engineering report it was delay.. delay.. delay. The inspection team does not interact with engineering. And engineering doesn't care about time frame or delays. Their ambivalence toward my project is costing $$$. Won't use them again. read more

Hunter performed a mold inspection for me today. His communication was excellent. He treated me with respect and compassion. He also communicated very clearly about the details of the inspection. I trust his professionalism. The pricing for the mold inspection was pretty close to industry standard. The company was also pretty responsive as far as scheduling. The language and boiler plates can be harmful, misleading and malicious. Inspectors fail to comprehend using the term "DEFECT" to describe a common observation. Lots of opinion, lots of conjecture. Some items mentioned in report that are erroneous or have zero relevance. Other issues not addressed at all. Greenworks are pretend lawyers hiding behind boiler plate. Their report language couldn't provide a greater disservice to their customer. read more

We paid for service and they didn't finish the job. We shouldn't have to chase someone to sign their inspection report. They also left off a major part of the inspection in the notes. We've asked several times for the inspector to sign and resend the report. He just says it'll get taken care of but nothing happens. Their communication is awful. It may not be much to them but I'll be coming after a refund if they don't complete the job! read more

Greenworks asks you to sign an agreement before providing their inspection services. It seems like a harmless agreement but they insert a line that asks you to give permission to the inspection company to share your information with third parties. I did pay attention. I started spamming calls from insurance service providers to handyman services which are third parties. It is an inspection company but follows deceptive practices. I want to withdraw my previous 5-star recommendation which I provided based on the inspector who did the inspection. This company should deserve negative ratings for its deceptive practices. We worked with Marc Lingard, great guy, very through inspection. Overall, a nice experience with him. The only thing me and my husband would point out is that they(the company) waited to the day of the appointment to let us know that there was an additional inspection they could do and that was not included in the price we had already paid. We had on mind that everything(inspection related) was included in the amount we had paid, and also we considered that they should have provided us with the option to add on to our inspection this additional service since de beginning when they provided us with the quote, or otherwise, had informed us that this specific service was not included in the quoted amount. Do not use GreenWork Home Inspection, worst experience ever. Their manager refused to handle my complaints after multiple voice mails left. It was a brand new house and they did a horrible sloppy inspection to spot drainage blockage of two shower rooms, huge gap between the garage door & no stop for rain, heat & snow coming into the garage. now mice are in the attic due to their negligent to spot huge gaps between wood frame and external bricks . Submit a complaint with Better Business Bureau they didn't bother to respond. They charged $545 for new house inspection and caused me mental stree to handle all those problems due to their negligence. Had to hire professionals to get problems fixed out of my own pockets since they refused to take care of any. This is really outrageous read more

From an entire home inspection, out of all the 85 identified items in the report, the "inspector" only categorized one item (the hot water temperature in a bathroom) as the only safety item! 74 items were "recommended" to be repaired and 10 were considered repairable by a handyman. Despite the report being full of recommendations to seek professional trades to remedy, i.e. water heater pressure relief valve and hose; missing exhaust vents; electric panel box problems; plumbing; the bulk of them did not warrant being flagged. This report was a complete waste of my money and time. This report provided little leverage in the sellers needing to fix anything. Out of the many inspections I've had with my many properties, this by far was the worst! I would not recommend this company even if they were doing for free! read more

+1 Star 5/6/21 Update I gave GreenWorks a third chance and they delivered an excellent, clear, detailed New Home Construction Phase 2 Inspection (Pre-Drywall). :) Alex Angulo (5 star inspector!) gave me a 40 minute detailed phone call explanation that walked me through every page of the inspection report. Instead of repeating myself on the phone to 6 people, I have been talking to one awesome coordinator Will Chico: super responsive, accommodated my requests, and coordinated the inspection smoothly! There was a small issue where Will gave me the wrong phone number: I recommend you double-check before texting your name and partial address to the wrong number like me... I will add another star after the house's Final Inspection! +1 Star 3/20/21 Update Thank you for the full refund. +1 Star 3/14/21 Update Kind workers with good responsiveness, but there's still no explanation why they failed to deliver and why I couldn't talk to the engineer or reach 3 people assigned to my case. :( +0 Star 3/11/21 Failed to deliver: failed inspection, failed resolution, unqualified engineer, unable to speak to the engineer, convoluted system, had to repeat my experience (below) to 6 people on the phone, 2 days of stress and time wasted, unable to reach the 2 people assigned to my case. Details: We're building a new construction home and wanted peace of mind with expert inspections. We chose Greenworks because it's a 5 star company with both engineers and home inspection packages. Charles (scheduling) and Alex (head of engineering) put together a package of 4 home inspections. Greenworks accommodated my request to have an ENGINEER do Inspection #1 (pre-pour foundation inspection). The area has many houses with foundation issues. I wanted to make sure the foundation was done right to prevent $5000+ future foundation repairs. The goal of a pre-pour inspection is to find and fix any issues with the foundation BEFORE the concrete is poured, which covers everything up. Alex (head of engineering) said an engineer would do Inspection #1 and give me a report the next day by 10 AM. Charles set up the appointment and Kashi the engineer arrived on time. 5 stars so far! Then -- nothing. No update, no report. Another engineer and 2 inspectors arrived on the same day and gave reports with no issue. I call Greenworks 2 DAYS later. The foundation wasn't poured yet because the builders were waiting on Kashi the engineer's report. Charles immediately apologized and directed me to Kimberly (operations manager). Kimberly explained that Alex (head of engineering) had left the company. They input Inspection #1 into their system incorrectly. Kashi didn't usually do new home foundation inspections. To resolve the issue, she scheduled Kashi to go to the home site at 9 AM the next day with a home inspector for "training purposes" and give the report right afterwards. I value the action to resolve the issue, but I'm very concerned because Alex and other Greenworks customer service reps assured me they sent engineers to new home builds, even though it wasn't common. Why would they send an unqualified engineer? Kashi the engineer arrives at the homesite-- it's too late. The concrete is being poured. It is now 3 DAYS since Inspection #1 should have happened. Pre-pour inspections are scheduled HOURS before the concrete is poured onto the foundation. Once the concrete covers everything, you can't inspect. Stephen, an unrelated engineer, NOT KASHI, reached out to explain they couldn't complete the engineer inspection because they didn't have design plans. I already clearly explained this to Alex and Charles. Why was this not brought up in the 7 WEEKS leading up to the inspection? Why was this not brought up IMMEDIATELY as an issue when Kashi was inspecting? Why did I have to call Charles 2 days later? This situation is partly miscommunication because Alex (head of engineering) coordinated Inspection #1 and left the company. I prepaid for 4 home inspections with Greenworks. Giving them huge benefit of the doubt, I emailed Charles: I value their time and work, so instead of a refund, I suggested Greenworks do the next 3 inspections with zero issues, and to deliver the inspection reports right afterwards as a top priority. No reply. I tried calling Kimberly and Charles 4 times each. Every call went to voicemail. Before today, they ALWAYS answered or replied in a few hours. I felt anxious, frustrated, and sad. At 5:10 PM, I called Greenworks' phone line. James answered kindly, and said he would tell Kimberly and Charles to reply, but he can't reach them. Why can't James reach his own coworkers? After a whole day, they did not reply. I went out of my way to resolve this before writing my ONLY negative review. I repeated my experience on the phone to James, Alex, Charles, Kimberly, Stephen. The issue is still unresolved. I want to prevent future customers from going through the stress I went through. read more

Update: We were provided a refund. I guess that's better than nothing. Review increased by 1 star. Thanks, GreenWorks! I removed my original review by my own volition, but basically we hired them to review our home's foundation for structural integrity. An associate came out and took fastidious measurements, but couldn't fit in the crawl space. A 2nd associate came out to access the space but instead took some rough estimates from the crawl space door and couldn't see the most problematic areas. When we called to discuss the report and this missing data, marked "inaccessible," we were routed through several people and never called back. Their call center agents are great, friendly, and responsive. That's the end of the line though, but maybe it's because we were small potatoes to them? We were told at the onset that an engineer would review our report with us. After several weeks of trying to speak with someone we requested a refund and were given it. They must be more attentive if you're a builder... read more

Overall, Greenworks was okay. On the plus side, they scheduled and communicated very well. Our inspector was timely, friendly and went out of his way to answer our questions and help us with some extras during the inspection. The follow-up was also helpful - Report was easy to understand and they suggested fixes for us. On the negative side, the inspection did not cover what we planned on. We got the Silver package, which included an optional addition to the standard home inspection. We opted for the pool option since our house had one, and we knew nothing about pools. I don't claim innocence - We didn't read the fine print about what wasn't covered in the pool inspection and we now realize that it did not cover very much at all, and was pretty much worthless. We would have been much better off paying a separate company to perform a very thorough inspection for us. We discovered a leak shortly after closing escrow, and are now paying dearly for it. read more
