Fantastic breakfast and service was great. The baked goods looked amazing..... next time!

As is typical with the Range Cafe, the food and atmosphere were top notch and the speed at which the food was delivered was blazingly fast. The real problems began after getting our seat. Apparently, and according to one male staff, was that our area was "overseated" for who was supposed to be our server. Ok but....not my problem, sorry. If my bill and Joe's bill at another seating area are the same, shouldn't our service also be? It doesn't help either when there's lots of employees engaged in other duties but ignoring the needs of customers in the immediate vicinity. One employee looked directly at us as we were waving at her and she completely ignored us. Great place guys, just needs TLC on the service end. read more

Overall great experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The food at this place never disappoints. I had a zucchini sandwich with sweet potato fries that was to die for. The other guests in my party were equally pleased with a Mediterranean salad, a burger and enchiladas. The waiter was attentive but busy. It's awesome to see a manager pick up the slack so nothing is missed. I think his name was Ryan. The best part was the desert, peach and blueberry pie, creme brûlée and my favorite death by lemon. Thanks for a last minute stop that we won't forget. read more

So excited to eat at the new location closer to our home! Great new interior same awesome menu service sucked, food was cold! Ordered biscuits and gravy and the wagon wheel. Simple order no special requests. Once ordered literally took 45 minutes to receive order. We were the first table to sit down and order and were the last table to receive food. When we received food it was cold. Sent back the wagon wheel and received 15 minutes later barely luke warm and waited another 15 minutes for the pancakes. By then the biscuits and gravy were like paste. The manager and waitress acted liked it wasn't a big deal. You go out to eat together, not separately! The busser Chris was AMAZING he refilled drinks and was the only one to sincerely apologize the waitress could have cared less the manager non chalantly said "well I guess we dropped the ball on this one" comped the wagon wheel and gave us a $20 gift certificate to visit again. What...really...why wouldn't you take care of the rest of the $13 ticket to apologize because you know darned well that the biscuits and gravy is going to turn into paste waiting for the other meal to come out. Even the bacon fat on the second order was still white that means that the bacon was not warm much less hot. For a $13.99 per plate breakfast for eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes, two sausage links, and pancakes that is steep for them not to be delivered hot and timely. I fell into a time warp! I went to The Range and wound up at Denny's. This cafe has been dependable and good until today breakfast was a disaster ant the service on oar with a busy McDonald's or worse! Tool over an hour for seats, the water took our order then, forgot about us. Took over 45 minutes for food the eggs were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside (how do you manage that) the toast was burnt on one side and cold on the other again, a difficult trick we waited so long for coffee and follow up service it was kinda a joke. In addition all 5 orders were at best piss warm but mostly cold my how they have become another overpriced New Mexican cafe with tacky decorations. read more

Stay for the food but leave because of the service. I love the food here, but paying $60 for dinner and being treated as an afterthought is irritating. It doesn't matter what time of day you come here it's always the same. It also doesn't matter which location you visit. If you don't mind waiting the food is great. read more

Went in for breakfast. The service is very slow. Real problem was the loud music. It was very loud and fast. We wanted to relax and enjoy our visit but the music made it impossible. We did ask them to please turn it down but were told management wanted it that way. Hope management can eat all of that food. read more

Great food. Nachos were awesome and my chimichanga was delicious with the avagadro meat. Come hungry. Wife ordered turkey mash potatoes didn't like it but she should have known better. This is largely a Mexican food place. Watch the happy hour we came before 5pm ordered but finished after 5pm then they didn't want to honor happy hour prices. Love Range Cafe. Unfortunately, this new location hasn't quite got it together yet. Service was really slow. When the food finally came out, it was pretty disappointing. Burger bun was stale and burnt around the edges, meat was too salty, and the fries were soggy. Nobody cared to ask how the food was. I was really looking forward to having dessert there, but didn't bother ordering any, as I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes just to get that. I checked the Yelp reviews before going in and saw another complaint about the service, although it seems as though that review has since been removed. Really hope this location can step it up, as the Westside is really lacking in decent dining options. read more

I was finally able to visit this location today and service and food were flawless. Ordered the lobo club with a salad and my friend ordered the green chile stew. She said it was hotter than she remembered but still great. Staff kept our drinks full and waiter was happy and on point with everything. Glad to see another convenient location. read more

I live on the West Side, so being a fan of the Range, I was excited last night to try the new Range Cafe at Cottonwood. It was a bit crowded but the wait was manageable. It was about 8:00 PM on 1/6/18. I ordered a Red Chili chicken enchilada as did my wife. My son ordered the "salmon salad". My son said his dish was very good and was delighted with it. Now for the bad news: The red chili on our enchiladas was almost invisible, so I asked for some extra and poured it over my enchilada. Instead of the usual consistency and color, it was pale and watery, so much so, I was compelled to mention it to the waiter, who agreed something was wrong with it and would check. He came back and said something to the effect of; "they must have run out of red chili and tried to water it down to make it go further". We were scheduled to go to a movie soon so I did not make a big deal out of it. However, I was very surprised and disappointed that we did not get a visit from the manager, and neither was an alternative dish or a refund offered. I managed to eat half of it and save the other half for home where I could add my wife's homemade red chili to it and at least enjoy the rest of it!. I hope someone in charge takes note of this and the other mediocre reviews and gets this restaurant up to the quality of the others. read more

We have always loved the Range and it has always been one of our favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, we are not having a great experience with the new Cottonwood location. Like any business, I am sure that they have good and bad employees. As hope blooms eternal, we keep going and giving them the benefit of the doubt. However, each time we go our experience gets worse and worse. From wrong orders or food items not included, completely forgetting that we haven't ordered, never refilling our water or tea glasses, or refilling them with the wrong beverage, cold coffee and waiters/waitresses that just seem to be having a bad day. Even when the restaurant is not busy, service is mediocre. Sorry guys, but with the prices you charge, we as your customers deserve better! Remember me? I'm the nice lady who smiled at your surly attitude and tipped you anyway. Figure it out guys..the west side needs you and wants you to succeed! read more

For years we have eaten at all the Ranges when in the area and have been happy with the food and the service. We have even brought friends there. We just went to the one on Coors, which was our first time at that location and were very disappointed. Our server was very slow, even thou there were not very many people this time of day, 2:30 pm. Then I asked for no onions, there were onions on my burger, the fries were barely warm, and our lettuce and pickles (on the side) were very wilted. On top of that the close slaw was warm. When we complained to Jake, he had excuses, and said he would bring new close slaw, lettuce, etc, and took my plate to hv mine redone. The manager came over and we explained the problem, he didn't apologize, just said well there getting you new food and will bring out new coleslaw and left. It took awhile longer, and after asking another server, we got the slaw, lettuce and pickles, but had he waited to put them on his burger, his burger would be cold... By the time I got my food, my sweetie was done with his meal. The waiter came over and said I can probably get you a free desert for your inconvenience, let me go check. He came back and said what do you want. I said the cake with ice cream (ice cream was 1.99 extra) and my sweetie wanted pie. The waiter shocked us by saying we could only have one (even thou we both had meal issues). So we said the cake. He brought it without the ice cream! And without the ice cream it was dry. The did end up removing my meal from the ticket, however, we will not be returning. As I said we have enjoyed all of the other locations, so this was a major disappointment for us. read more

I went in about 430 for some early dinner and sat at the bar for what I thought would be a peaceful evening. The bar staff was completely obnoxious all they cared about was talking to each other about personal things instead of paying attention to their customers. I received my food 20 minutes later which was supposed to come with fries I got a salad instead but the salad didn't even come until I was halfway through my meal. There was a lady with short blonde hair tattooed and a gentleman with black hair behind the bar. Didn't bother to ask how anything was or if I needed anything until I was finished with my meal. On top of that I got a headache from listening to them obnoxiously joking with each other. I found it completely unprofessional. At least pay some attention to the people who are trying to get good services. Keep in mind your guests are also listening to your annoying rants. This shouldn't be a gossip room. It's sad because I enjoy the food but I won't be sitting at the bar as long as they're working. read more
