Staff were very friendly and attentive. Orders were taken quickly & efficiently. Building had lots of parking, but not recommended for RVs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior was very nice, old school cafe look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food had a great taste & plenty of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very much an older clientele.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of room for a large group, if you call ahead[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a busy place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Give them a shot.

Christy Mae's is another New Mexico classic that brings back wonderful memories for me. As a child, I remember the little treasure chest where you could pick out a small toy after your meal, and that sense of nostalgia always comes rushing back when I dine here as an adult. I especially enjoy ordering the classic grilled cheese and soup--perfectly named the Cold Day Warmer. Their spiced iced tea is another favorite of mine. The appetizers are solid as well, particularly the chips and queso and the fried combo with mozzarella sticks and zucchini. The cornbread is delicious, and the burgers are consistently good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While prices have gone up over the years and we don't dine here as often as we once did, I still appreciate the classic old-country atmosphere, complete with vintage memorabilia lining the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is generally consistent, which adds to the overall comfort and familiarity of the experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Christy Mae's remains a place that feels like home, blending good food with cherished memories.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hubby and I came on a cold evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted comfort food, and we got a warm hug in the cozy down home dining room with Cracker Barrel Style vibes, but unique to Christie's[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We were served by a young, personable and attentive waiter who confirmed the chicken pot pie was as excellent choice. Everything was fantastic! 5/5 will return

I lived in Albuquerque for ten years before moving to Los Angeles. This week I worked in Albuquerque, so I decided to visit my favorite restaurants, if they were still there. Christy Mae's is still there, still wonderful, and still a favorite. I used to eat at this wonderful place once a week and I wish I could still do that. The service is always great and efficient. There is definitely something on this menu that will satisfy you, because Christy Mae's specializes in comfort foods like chicken pot pie, chicken fried steak, breakfast, and most anything else you would want. I get either the chicken pot pie or the Le Chicken (chicken salad with nuts, celery, and sliced grapes) on a buttery soft croissant. I paired this with the green chile chicken stew and potato salad for a completely delicious and filling meal. Of course I have to have dessert and the peanut butter pie spoke to me. Loudly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is cute and country, a bit like a local Cracker Barrel, but much MUCH better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are quite reasonable so you can take the entire family for a satisfying meal. You simply cannot go wrong at Christy Mae's. Enjoy!

I went here for lunch on September 16, 2025. My first visit. There's a lot of parking available and good signage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside there are nice big windows resulting in lots of natural light.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu is an interesting blend of American diner food with Mexican food choices. The special today was tuna melt, and I had it with a side of potato salad. My dining companion had a very lovely sandwich called the harvest. You can see from the photos, that it's stacked high with lots of different vegetables and she described it as delicious. The tuna melt was nicely done and I really enjoyed the potato salad. It had a little bit of celery in it to give us some crunch and interest. Prices are reasonable.

Ordered the Jane's Way chopped steak ( this is 1/3) Delicious! I went and picked it up. It was so warm and so fresh when I got home!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Christy Mae's serves up exactly what you'd expect from an All American diner![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friends and I were craving a cozy meal, and we all came for the chicken pot pie. We stopped by on a Friday evening and received prompt and friendly service. Even though Christy Mae closes relatively early (~8pm), our group appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality from start to finish, despite arriving later than we hoped. By the time we placed our order, Christy Mae's only had one chicken pot pie available, which I was lucky to enjoy as an out-of-state guest. My two friends ordered the Turkey and Green Chile Pot Pie, which our server suggested and spoke highly of! Portions were huge, and our meals were well priced. If I could change anything, I'd recommend more seasoning, but overall, I left very satisfied!

Had a rebate thru the upside app. So I decided to give it a try. They have a pretty good size menu. I got the chicken fried steak with corn on the cob and mashed. It was delicious and came out pretty fast. The service was excellent and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had the lighter side half le chicken croissant sandwich & cup of green chili chicken soup. Was so good. I had good service. The waitress was so nice refilling my water with lemon and doing my takeout order.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

Directly across the street from University of New Mexico's main entrance, this place is packed when school is in session. This place is huge, but not at first glance. Walk into the retro-looking, Western themed dining room, and you'll see a huge menu board above the order counter. There is are several freestyle soda machines in the middle of the room. There are little digital screens in the corner where you watch for your order number and a counter in the corner where you go pick up your food. It's not until you go into the next room that you discover there is another "next room," and then another. There is a lot of art on the walls, including several John Wayne pictures. The girl at the counter who took our order was an absolute ray of sunshine--so friendly and sweet. We ordered the green chili cheeseburger with onion rings and the daily special which is the "green pile-up" (beans, hash browns, scrambled egg, and green chili beef). The good came our talented quickly, and was quite yummy. Frontier is an Albuquerque classic. If it old? Yes, but it has a huge faithful following, not including the things of UNM students that pack this giant diner during the school year. It may not be a "must try" for some, but if you want Albuquerque nostalgia, this is your place. Btw--it's pretty darn cheap,!

They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu the next time we're in town.
