Trust me when I say you will not find a satisfying cheesesteak anywhere except at this exact Randys location. I am honestly obsessed. My partner and I get a cheesesteak at least once a week here for 6 months now. Everyone we make try and get one from here also agree and this is coming from someone who has tried a cheesesteak from most places who sell it. It is even still good when you get it on ubereats, which we do most the time. Get this exact order: 12 inch cheesesteak with sautéed onions, mayo, cheese, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar. Then say/add extra cheese!! Make sure it is american cheese. They use the white american cheese not the yellow one as they should for a cheesesteak. We also ask for the bread to be not toasted. Also if the 12 inch is too big for you then still get it anyways and save the rest for later when you realize how much you love it because they use a thicker and different bread on their 8 inch. After spending the day at Duke Medical facilities, we were hungry. The charge nurse recommended Tandys for a New York style pizza and it did not disappoint. We just got a plain cheese pizza and a Greek salad. The pie was delicious. Crispy yet chewy crust, nice sauce ( not too sweet not too tangy ) and maybe could have used a tad more cheese. We got a large and had two pieces left for my lunch. The Greek salad was loaded with the expected goodies- Kalamata olives, sliced green peppers, red onion, tomatoes and smoke sprinkling of feta. I'm so tired of salads with just lettuce and one of each of the above. We did carry out and the atmosphere was very basic and fairly clean. So I'll start by saying that the food we received was liked by those who ate it - so there's that... However, the service is unprofessional. My family and I called in a delivery order. What we received was not what we ordered. We called right away to let them know, and a staff member was unwilling to remedy the situation. Not only was the food we received wrong, but she rang the order wrong. Consequently, we paid $6+ more than we should have. I asked to speak to a manager. She said she would make it right by sending us the correct food - but cautioned it could take 30-35 minutes before it would arrive (a full 90 minutes had already passed since we initially placed the order). After 50 minutes we called again, and the staff member was unhelpful. She could not tell us when our food would arrive. 25 minutes later, we got our food. I have been a regular customer at this pizza place for the past year and had very much enjoyed the food and the service until an awful incident last night. I cannot believe how terrible the service was after what would have been an easy mistake to remedy. I ordered a gluten free pizza and they delivered a regular pizza instead (along with my roommate's regular pizza). This is a serious problem for me as I cannot eat gluten and it will make me quite sick. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund and a replacement as they had a serious mistake that could be a big problem for my health if I hadn't caught it. I spoke with the manager, Oji over the phone, she told me only way I could get any refund was if I returned the partially eaten pizza (my boyfriend had eaten a few bites of a slice to see if it was gf or not) to the delivery driver. Additionally, even if I did return the pizza through the driver, I would only receive a 5$ refund for the 19$ pizza order that they had messed up. This is not sanitary on many levels as there is an actual global pandemic going on. The manager refused to be compromising with me on any level and made zero attempt to make their mistake right. She did not apologize for the mistake or offer any solutions. If you are gluten free, I would strongly consider ordering elsewhere--there is a serious chance they will send you a regular pizza in a gluten free box. Edited: when the replacement pizza arrived the delivery driver tried to insist that the original pizza needed to be returned. I refused and he was unwilling to give me my pizza that I had already paid for until he called his manager. The replacement pizza that was delivered was undercooked, the crust was raw. read more

I've been to multiple Randy's Pizza around the are and it's always been consistent. I went with the special -- slice of one-topping pizza + fries + drink. Talk about a perfect meal! The slice was thin but huge. The fries was fresh from the fryer with a perfect crisp. This was a meal deal for under $7-8! Thats a steal to me! I was full by the time I finished my meal. I ordered two cannolis, mozzerella sticks, and cheese fries. The cheese fries are good, kind of handover food you'd eat sloppy. The mozzerella sticks were alright. The cannolis. I have had many a cannoli and let me tell you. The care put into this cannoli is nill. The shell was soft. Cannolis are supposed to be crispy and delightful. You should fill them right before you send them out and they will be unsoft for hours. This one has been filled many hours before hand. Randy's can make pretty good pizza at a reasonable price...but only if they give you the right order and within an hour and a half. I've had good experiences, but too often now they have given us the completely wrong order after a very long wait. And the make correcting it or getting a refund extremely difficult. I think one of my issues with Randy's is the inconsistency between locations. The pizza here was delicious and much superior to the offerings at some other locations (i.e. MLK, and somewhat HV). Tried a cheese and a sausage pizza, and both were solid NY-style offerings. The sausage was particularly good, with lots of flavor. I love Randy's when I'm in the mood for lunch pizza. They have a lunch special with 2 massive slices with any one topping (the board says pepperoni, but you can ask for any one you like) and a drink for around $5.85 (I think). The bonus is that they don't mind if you share. Two people can get one lunch special and an extra drink and eat for less than $4/person. The pizza is quite good and one slice is a reasonable lunch. The only drawback is that the restaurant is mysteriously cold all the time. It's not a cold that slaps you in the face as you walk in the door, but a cold that creeps up on you and slowly envelops your soul. Yet, despite the cold, I cannot stay away. read more
