First of all, it takes A LOT to impress me, and I have never written a rating on anyone before. I have had bad experiences from other heating companies in the past, so I have seen this rodeo before. I did my homework getting quotes and talking to the various heating companies in my area. I decided to go with Randy's Heating company and WOW what a difference. Not only do they have competitive pricing, but their working ethic, knowledge, and experience stands head and shoulders above any other heating company in my opinion. They are honest as the day is long, in my aforementioned I mentioned I had various quotes from other heating companies stating that my heat pump was old and had to be replaced, even though I told them it never worked right to begin with. Randy came over looked at the heat pump and said doesn't look like its had a lot of wear and tear, let's repair it. So he wasn't here to soak me for a new heat pump, he was here to get me heat at the lowest possible price. He # "cares" for his customers. His secretary even called me the day before to confirm our appointment. Work was completed and turns out the valve stems on the coolant connections were bent when the heat pump was installed. So the Freon slow leaked out of the system. (worked at first, then heat pump petered out) Randy will be our repair company from now on. What a great company and owner. I had a part to be replaced on my Rheem hot water heater. The Rheem company sent me the part and because it has a heat pump on it a heating company had to take care of it. I went to Home Depot because they carry Rheem products and I asked them who would fix this so they gave me a number. I called it they came out and they had no idea how to put the part in. I called The Rheem company back and they told me that it was a part that was easy to put in. So I took the part and proceeded to put it in I had it almost in and couldn't figure out how to attach it to the pipe. I call Randy's heating he came out within a week. This part has taken almost a year to put in. I had called several heating companies but no one else would touch it. I called Randy's heating and made a appointment. Randy had not replaced one of these parts but got right in there and did it. He was very good at explaining everything, courteous and respectful. He was very informative and knew his stuff. We now have a 2 yr service contract with him to service our Furnace and hot water heater. He is the guy to call. read more

Randy's is exceptional in both price and customer service, bar none! My 30-year-old heat pump system failed a few months ago and when I contacted Randy's, I could not believe how quickly they responded. Within a day, I had a quote that was not only reasonable, but much less than others. Scheduling went very quickly unlike others I called who couldn't even do a quote for over a month out, much less the job itself. Randy is honest, straightforward, and has his customers' best interest at heart. The system has been installed now for 2 months, and today I was concerned there may be an issue as my power bill had spiked. As it turns out, nothing to do with the unit but here's the thing - I called them at around 2:45pm on a Friday (today)and they had a tech at my house by 4pm to diagnose. Needless to say, I was blown away and found out that Randy himself took on a couple of calls so the tech get here. Wow, just WOW! Randy came out to my house on 12/11 and found a very simple fix...noted in my last review. On December 12 (the next day), my thermostat decided to die in the early morning. I already had an appointment for this Friday to have a Nest installed as well as general maintenance. I emailed Randy to see if there was a way to fit me in. He called me right back but was really booked. He said, "I may have a coworker grab the Nest and swing by between jobs or I will get it handle it after hours." Just a few hours later, Randy arrived personally, installed the Nest, conducted the maintenance checks, and gave me a 1 on 1 tutorial on operating my new thermostat (which I love). My furnace has never operated better and my wife loves the new hardware on the wall. Much better than my 1989 thermostat. I would recommend getting a Nest. They are awesome! I decided to contact Randy's Heating based on the universally positive reviews on Yelp. Randy himself picked up the phone when I called on a Saturday to inquire about service on my air conditioning (HVAC) system, which did not function when--for the first time this summer--I turned it on. He agreed to come out to my place immediately to do a diagnostics assessment aimed at identifying the problem. Randy showed up shortly thereafter and quickly determined what the problems were. He needed to procure a couple of items to replace broken parts in my nine-year-old HVAC system, so he made arrangements to return first thing Monday morning with the needed parts. On Monday he got my A/C back up and running. I was sufficiently pleased with his quick and efficient service that I signed up for his annual HVAC maintenance plan. An offer came through in the first 24 hours that my home was listed on the market. I'd had owned the home for 14 years with no furnace issues. Then, wouldn't you know it, the purchaser's inspection reported that the heater was not functioning properly. I phoned Randy's Heating in the morning and by the afternoon he had already gone out of his way to get out to my home, diagnose, and provide me with options. Not only was the new furnace installed by the next day, but, Randy's also wrapped the ducting under the house. (This had been another request of the purchaser, so, knocking out both at once was a definite bonus.) Randy's very professional, no nonsense, approach was refreshing. I was extremely satisfied with his diagnosis as well as the work completed. I also was impressed with the fact that he called workers back to complete the job to his satisfaction. Great- prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, & understandable. Moved into a 35 year home that had old Trane heatpump & electric furnace- had thermostate batteries 'fail' - replaced myself - then noted fan for heat pump was running 24-7. Tried for several days to repair myself- no luck- wasn't able to find help without an appointment in 4 days, till the 5th call to Randy's. Yea! Was able to come out next day at 3pm to troubleshoot. ​Logan was able to locate the defective contactor with a 'welded' contact,,,, he replaced with new from his truck stock as well as diminished capacitor. Quick- effective-reasonable prices. Signed for Annual service- he was able to complete & verify service both furnace & heat pump. I really appreciated his sharing of knowledge and definitive electrical & coolant digital readings. My furnace was not putting out heat last night. It was in the 20's so I absolutely had to have it fixed today. Today is a Saturday. I discovered that finding a heating company that is open on weekends is difficult. I looked up companies online and based on the reviews I found here and other sites I left messages with two companies. Randy called back within minutes. The other company still has not returned my call. Randy not only called back promptly, he was courteous over the phone and had two jobs ahead of mine but said he would come as soon as he was done. He arrived within an hour of our phone call. I am a senior on a fixed income who has an electric furnace which is checked by Randy's Heating on a yearly basis for the past few years. No real issues until this year. I was advised to replace the thermostat and sequencer for $710. Beginning with the thermostat for $400. I needed the basic nonprogrammable thermostat. I questioned the cost of $400 and was informed that I was paying for $20,000 education and years of experience. Unfortunately, I was not able to agree to pay for these services. I was then informed that I could go down the street to find someone. I did. $155 for a thermostat, sequencer, installation and a fixed a broken wire that had been overlooked in the yearly services from Randy Heating. We had our heating system installed by Randy and his crew 2 years ago. This week we had an unexpected issue not related to quality of their work, but with parts. They were excellent with communication & great about getting out to address the issue as quickly as they could. I understand that Randy and his team are short staffed right now due to COVID illness, but I was so impressed with how they are doing their best to service and support their customers at this trying time. If anyone new is thinking of using their services for installation, I would encourage you to be flexible and understanding. We had Randy and team replace all HVAC in our house (swap from oil furnace to heat pump, and replace in-wall electric + heated floors to a ductless system too). Randy was great walking through options and helped us select one that would work for us at a fair price-point. I particularly like how he was very thoughtful about a system that was good for our scenario (a bit remote so something that was reliable and could be easily services when it requires repair). Install was great and the team was kind and courteous and got the work done in short-order, and talked through any questions or issues with us to keep us in the loop and make sure we got the result we wanted. Overall an awesome experience as a new home owner. First service we did on our furnace as owners and Elijah and his partner did good, professional and quality work. I enjoyed the fact they wore shoe covers in the house and always kept me up to date. Elijah also mentioned a we would need to replace a flame sensor during our next service and even brought it to me and explained its purpose in the furnace. The only reason for a 4/5 stars is due to them running behind and having to rearrange child care pick up, and some soot that was not cleaned out towards the bottom of the furnace cover. Randy & his crew were great. Mark worked nearly 12 hours straight to get the unit installed. Randy was very responsive & like most of his previous customers noted, he is always a little early. I was hesitant about the installation of the Nest thermostat as it seemed complicated to set up & a little overwhelming. He made a separate trip to set it up just as I needed for now & promised to come back & work with me in programming it in more detail when I'm ready. Randy - I met Randy when he serviced my neighbors furnace, Called last year because my furnace was making a banging noise. Randy said it was 19 years old could be a couple of things. I did not want to correct it then. This year I thought I would replace it got some bids from others. I did not want to be cold this winter. Randy installed a new furnace in my home looks great - great price - also corrected a flue problem at no additional cost. We are selling our other home and I needed a service company quickly to inspect and service the heat pump prior to the home inspection (schedule was changed at the last minute). After being told by another heating and air company that I had a refrigerant leak and that the repair would cost $2000 dollars, I called Randy for a second opinion. He took the time to troubleshoot the system and found the thermostatic expansion valve required replacement. The valve replacement was substantially less than the quoted price for the work the other company wanted to perform that would not have corrected the problem anyway. After getting a b.s. recommendation from Dana's heating and cooling, I decided to do some trouble shooting myself using Youtube. I learned what a bad capacitor should look like and sure enough after taking the panels off, it was just that. There was a bad heat wave that week and I was desperate to get a new capacitor. I called Randy and he had one on hand to purchase. He didn't have to, but he took the time to walk me through the installation and even educated me on how ac's work. Wouldn't recommend using his services. Showed up with just an invoice clip board, no tools. informed of us of the part that needed to be replaced and quoted us $425 to install it. Found the part brand new online, my husband put it in and that still didn't fix the heating problem. After his 89 diagnostic fee plus a $120 part and we spent $200 and left without heat...in fact he made out problem worst. the heater wouldn't come oN at all after he left. DONT USE HIS SERVICES...WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. read more
