He recommended the Firebird sandwich and the Funky cushion chips (which is a mixture of salt/vinegar, mesquite BBQ, etc.). After receiving my order, I wanted to view the sandwich and take a bite. Exactly as advertised on Google Maps I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwhich and a Diet Coke. They give the soda in the can so I recommend asking for a cup with ice. The tomato sauce was served in a cup to the side. Which I really loved. The cheese was melted and mixed with the chicken so you tasted the sauce, chicken and cheese with every bite. I would come here again. P.S. I am always wary of getting chicken Parmesan sandwhiches because of the sogginess. Nobody apologized or even came over to explain what happened. I had to ASK what was going on just to find out they made a mistake with my order. Meanwhile they were still working on online orders before mine while I was standing there waiting. Mistakes happen and I completely understand that. But at least acknowledge it and apologize. Although there are many quality donut shops in the L.A. area, I always make a point to visit the donut shop I grew up with. Known as "The Big Donut" back in the day, @randysdonutsla is internationally known and famous - not only for the iconic giant donut atop their Inglewood donut shop location, but also for some of the best donuts anywhere. On this occasion, I decided to visit their new location in El Segundo. Apprehensive as it is difficult to replicate perfection, I was greatly surprised and impressed with the upscale shop, and location, as well as the ease of parking. Of course, the iconic donut sign is merely a symbol of the original; however, the same great donuts were still present and the staff was friendly and helpful. My go-to donut at Randy's is the apple fritter and maple bar, so I got each of those (with bacon for the maple bar), along with a maple churro, and chocolate old fashioned. As expected, all the donuts were amazing, but it was confirmed just how special their apple fritters are. The only improvement would be if they were served warm. The maple bacon bar and maple churro donuts were delicious and quickly devoured. The chocolate old fashioned donuts were actually much better then expected, in that the dough was also chocolate with a rich, thick, chocolate icing. WOW!! I did not order coffee (which I usually do), but @randysdonutsla has announced a new premium coffee which I plan to try next visit. Let me know what you think! . . I visited Randy's on a Saturday morning around 8 AM and was pleased to find the line relatively short, with only four people ahead of me. The donut selection was well stocked, which was a great start to my day. I decided to order three maple bars, a dozen maple donut holes, and two glazed old-fashioneds. While the maple bars were ok, I found both those and the donut holes a bit lacking. They seemed less fresh, possibly made the night before, as the maple topping flaked off in large chunks. The flavor was good, but the freshness left much to be desired. The glazed old-fashioned donut, however, was a standout. It tasted fresh, and I detected a subtle hint of lemon, which, despite not being a lemon enthusiast, I found pleasantly unobtrusive. As for my drink, I ordered a regular iced vanilla latte with almond milk. It was good and struck the perfect balance between flavor and sweetness (not too sweet). Overall, Randy's offered a delightful start to my morning, with a few minor areas for improvement. read more

BEST. DONUTS. EVER. Never knew donuts were such a big deal, but I love how Randy's Donuts make an emphasis on the simplicity of traditional donuts. I like going in and seeing donuts that we've all grown up with. It's much easier to decide what to get, instead of having to learn about the newest artisan creation.
