You doughnut know how much I love croissants! King's Donuts of Hawthorne is my home for the flakey, buttery heaven known as a croissant! Yes, their title does lead one to the shop for their awesome donuts but, for my French pastry loving heart, it's the croissants that bring me back again and again. Both plain AND stuffed croissants are located at this shop, with plain being my go-to favorite. The crescent-shaped, golden-brown pastry has so many delicate layers of bread and butter that I find myself licking my fingers as to not miss a single crumb. They open at 5am which allows me to pick up goodies while they are still warm on my way to run around town. The cost is also lower than several other local spots, making this a double win in my opinion. Staff is kind and dedicated to making your visit an enjoyable one. Greeting customers with a friendly smile seems to always be on the menu! Ambiance is that of a mom & pop bakery which makes me feel welcome at any point in the day. Handicap parking is located just outside the front door, but with a smaller, more limited parking lot. The front door is left open most mornings, allowing for morning bakery smells & aromas to waft through the air. This also helps those who may have trouble opening a heavy door. read more

Food is good but service is horrible. One of the ladies that work there is so rude. She talks crap because she doesn't want to be bothered. So why work there or run a business if you don't want to do anything? She doesn't care about the clients at all. There's plenty of great donut shops with great food and customer service. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with rude business owner. read more

This place is super underrated! Hands down the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! We normally go to a restaurant every weekend for breakfast. Not any more! Fire food and super affordable. Really nice people who are sweet and truly care about their customers being happy. First donut shop I've EVER seen that is NOT skimpy on the cheese! Ham and cheese croissants are delicious. However, our family favorite is the breakfast special sandwich on croissant bread! BOMB! read more

Best local tasting donut shop! The sweet, lady there works super hard and is super nice and her personality is so vibrant - makes your bad day turned into a great day! She knows what her regular customers orders, she knows how to better serve her customers too. I always get a dozen glazed donuts, ham & cheese croissant (the bomb!) and an apple fritter (amazing!). She is a good multitasker from what I can see and always gets the orders done. Don't forget to leave a sweet tip in the plastic cup at the counter as a sign of your appreciation for her and her business for serving you and the local community. read more

Was going to get a Dunkin' Donut, but ended up going to a small local shop, and couldn't be more glad I did. The taste was better, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The service was great, the lady at the front was so polite and friendly. The kind of service and taste only small businesses can provide. Highly recommend! read more

Being a business owner myself, I Was constantly hunted by businesses who did nothing but write great reviews on yelp to make business owners rating higher. I guarantee this place is one of them. Because the Nasty miserable disrespectful service you get from the people here is enough to make me want to never go there again. And I don't go there i drive out of my way to Queens Donuts in Lawndale simply because of this. They have by far the best service you'll ever find. Somehow Manor's in this world and definitely here at this Kings Donuts have been misplaced. They forget, we have plenty of choices as to where we get our donuts read more
