The donuts itself are not the super fancy schmancy kind, but you can find all the classics. My family's favs: the twist and the apple fritter. Huge H@ll yes to this place!! Stopped in here to pick-up a dozen for a customer and figured I would grab something for breakfast while I was here!...great decision on my end! This was in a good area, quick in and out for parking and man, what a breakfast sandwich! I got a dozen very good looking donuts, a delicious Apple Fritter for myself and a breakfast sandwich! The sandwich was on a Croissant (wish they had biscuits options but her, can't have it all) with Egg, Cheese..added Jalapeños and Avocado ...man, top 5 breakfast sandwich I have to say! I used to come to Niko's donuts quite often to pick up their fresh yummy donuts by the dozen. I used to get friendly service with a smile as they would allow you to pick which doughnuts you like. Unfortunately, the last two times I have been there, the girl working has been unfriendly and picks out the doughnuts herself. Usually placing less desired doughnuts into our box. Today I asked her to switch out one of the donuts, and there was attitude behind it. I'm not spending my money at a place that doesn't value customers with a friendly smile or kindness. My daughter wanted to bring donuts to school for her class and her teachers. I noticed Niko's Donuts was close to her school, so we checked it out this morning. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed when I walked in. It looked very run down and dirty. The floors were dirty, the counters were dirty, and the place definitely needs a good clean and some upgrades. I wanted to turn around and leave, but I didn't want to disappoint my daughter. We ordered two dozen glazed donuts, and I also got a chocolate twist for me. Unfortunately, my donut was eh.. I felt like it wasn't very fluffy; it had too much chocolate and not enough dough. I couldn't even finish it. The guy that helped us was friendly and had a great upbeat personality. But unfortunately, the place needs a lot of work and needs to be cleaned. Plain cake donuts. A simple specimen but they're my favorite. I didn't see any plain cake at Niko's but that's okay, he had my other family favorites and 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Niko's is in my neighborhood and more often than not convenience wins over taste as it did on this day. Niko's is a decent donut shop - it'll satisfy your craving. Fresh tasting and easily gobbled up by family and anyone who stops by for gabbing, coffee or weeding in the garden. For me half the fun of a donut run is the ability to take a photo of the boxed donuts themselves. Not sure why a photo of donuts satisfies the way it does. Kind of like an apple pie or a stack of pancakes. And heck, photos don't cost your wallet or waist (if you worry about such things). With so many donut shops in the area, I'll continue to search for my perfect plain cake donut. Until then, I'll keep a fresh pot of Peet's brewing. read more

They were filthy!! I called to the back room where she disappeared, and requested the table to be whipped down. She handed me an absolutely disgusting towel. I asked if there was another. Just visited for the first time and was astounded by the transaction fee. They charge $.50 per transaction-when you buy a cup of coffee and a doughnut for $5, you're essentially paying 10% credit card fee. I understand a charge 3% for credit card transactions, which is the norm as credit card transactions even with AMEX do not exceed 4 1/2% and with Visa and MasterCard or closer to 2 1/2%.. This fee is posted on the counter below where you order so you don't even notice it until you're done.. this is unacceptable read more

There's fresh donuts galore from buttermilk donuts to apple fritters. Weekends also have specialty donuts such as red velvet donuts. Donuts are a $1 each or 1 dozen for $10. They also offer apple fritters for $1.25 and cronuts for $2.25. If you're craving something other than donuts; they've got croissants, chicken bakes and even breakfast burritos! This location has been a donut shop for a long time, but the current owners are new! And their donuts are great! We had some Glazed donuts, Maple Bars, Crumb Donuts & Cronuts. Definitely the best in this part of town. I really enjoyed all the donuts but my favorite was the Cronut! This is my first time having a Cronut ( I know I'm late to the game on this one LOL ) it was soft and flaky and buttery and sweet oh my. One of my new favorite things for sure :) The service is very friendly and they don't rush you to make up your mind, which is good because Niko's has so many fresh donut options to choose from. They also have a nice selection of coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches. Niko's operate donut shop hours... 7 days a week, 5am - 2pm. This makes them perfect for a meal before work or school. Or just to take home and graze all day like we did :) Located in a strip mall there is plenty of parking and both the lot and the shop were very clean. I got 2 dozen donuts for my kid's daycare teachers. I was on my way to a chain donut shop and happened to notice this one had good reviews. I uploaded a picture of the menu, with donuts priced reasonably at $1 each or $10 a dozen! Also, to the jackass that came in to the store without a mask while I was being helped, who slammed your cash on the table and demanded a chocolate croissant before me - gross, just gross. I have been here twice. The sandwiches and the donuts are tasty for a reasonable price. It is a small shop that seems to be ran by just one guy. For some reason, regulars (I assume) are allowed to cut the line, despite you standing there for 30 minutes and calling ahead to order. Pretty disrespectful in my opinion. I have been here multiple times for the past 2 years and not once have I been unsatisfied. His donuts are soft, fresh and don't taste too sugary. Every time I come get some donuts, I would always see customers come and go and some coming right back saying, "these are the best donuts I've ever had!" I know it makes niko's day when people say that and I'm one of them. He works by himself and runs his own business! Seeing him work in the back while customers are coming in is amazing, because he does it all. I would hear him say, "just one moment please," because his gloves would be covered in glaze, chocolate and sprinkles. He would then take them off wash his hands and come to the front and help with customers presentable. That's an amazing person right there, who does it all by himself everyday, seven days a week. read more

Glazed - pillowy soft with a moderately toothsome chew, excellent glaze with just the right amount of sweetness Glazed cinnamon crumb - similar interior with a nice added texture and soft hit of cinnamon from the crumb Glazed cronut - nice lamination, but noticeably on the greasier side...lacked the finesse of the best ones we've had Boston cream - pleasant chocolate frosting, not a fan of the awfully artificial-tasting custard Overall, some better than others and all at a very reasonable price. Great breakfast sandwiches! We came on both Saturday & Sunday to get croissants with ham, egg, bacon, and cheese. They were excellent and I really enjoyed them with the side of peppers provided. Cute place in a strip mall right off 190th. I got a selection of donuts + 1 cronut for my family. Our bias is for yeasted more so than cake donuts just so people are aware. Glazed yeasted donut: so fluffy, just enough salt, glaze was perfect (not too sweet!). This was the perfect bite! Glazed cinnamon crumb: one of the recommendations from the staff. Same donut qualities as the glazed with a little extra pizzazz on the outside for flavor. Also really good but I liked the clean taste of the plain glaze most. Cronut: unfortunately this one was just okay for me (otherwise would have given 5 stars). We've definitely had better. Mostly I felt it was too oily tasting though they did well on lamination. I did like that they added some light cinnamon to flavor it though! Boston cream: unfortunately for me, this one belongs to my husband who hasn't woken up yet. Depending on his response, I'll update this (and maybe upstar if he is is obsessed with it! Lol) Overall, great small business. Quality is excellent. So far the only miss for us was the cronut but only bc we have had many others. It is still a great cronut just can't say the best we've had. Service is friendly. They are credit card friendly. Donuts are super affordable - I paid $6 for all these even though most places would consider all but the glazed as specialty and up charge. Getting out of the parking lot can be hard with cars going fast on 190th so just be careful. We are looking to go back and try the other two recs from the store: blueberry cake and apple fritter.
