They remodeled the inside of the the donut shop . Their menus are updated as well . I had my croissant egg sandwich . For coffee I picked up a regular hot coffee and added creamer and sugar . We got a total of 3 sandwiches and 3 coffees ( 2 big ice coffees ) for about 38$ or so . We ate at the park after picking up sandwiches. Service was fast and food was good . read more

The best part is they're not overly sweet. They are quite well balanced and fresh. We love Golden Donuts. it is not just a donut shop, they also have sandwiches which are great. You can have lunch there. The place is really pretty and well organized. They have a great selection of donuts and sandwiches. I love their breakfast sandwiches. The service is really good. It can get a tad crowded but the line moves fast. I got an iced coffee and a singlr donut. Total was $7.75. Seems a little ridiculous on price if you ask me. The coffee was an espresso shot mixed with syrup and milk. If you wanted it sweetened with syrup or any flavor, it was an additional 25 cents. Basically, it's a latte when I just wanted a simple iced coffee. The donut, on the other hand, was pretty good. They asked if I wanted it warmed up, and I said no....however, they proceeded to warm it up because one of the ladies in back said they had to warm it up to make it taste better.... so that tells me it must be pretty bad when it's room temp? Overkill on the service, especially when it wasn't necessary. The location is a little rough... tight parking and hard to access when theres a lot of traffic. Terrible service from some lady named Davi- black roots and the hair turns a dirty brown. I've been coming to THIS LOCATION for over 10yrs, the large juice was $7.00. Even coming as far as DtLA to support this business because it was very affordable for what you got. Today WORSE SERVICE! She stated there's no manager at this time. I know these ladies are employed here as a beginning step. I've been coming here that long and had great experiences with them! I ordered something specific from the usual as I'm under the weather. I have grown up going to this donut shop and leaving this review saddens me. Some of my earliest memories include this shop. But it's fallen far from its glory. A few months ago I purchased a breakfast sandwich and the bread was moldy I was grossed out. I didn't go back for months. I returned no issues for a few orders but again I ordered an overpriced sandwich because I wanted to try something new and the amount of mold on the bread was disrespectful. Someone is back there looking at this food being prepared I assume with eyes open. Why would they think it's okay to do this to a paying customer. I even over tipped!!! I am just so grossed out and disappointed because I loved this place as a child and I wish my kids could come to this place and have awesome memories like I did. They get mold and trust issues. I had previously written a review about this place, I found a dead caterpillar in my JALAPEÑO ham and cheese croissant. Which you can see grooves and caterpillar texture and patterns. Also, you can see the legs if you look closely. The owner took it upon themselves to discredit my experience. Saying "What you may think is a caterpillar is actually the core of the jalapeño that has been seasoned and grilled." Which is a complete lie. As you can see in the original photo I posted & have provided again, I have circled the caterpillar & the core of the jalapeño & they look nothing alike. What is in the croissant is clearly a dead caterpillar. Maybe this place should be reevaluated for cleanliness. This doesn't deserve an A. read more

I know it's not a big deal, but when someone requests no cheese multiple times and clarify please no cheese and leave to find out it's with cheese melted and everything in the sandwich! The veggies in the Turkey croissant sandwich were not fresh at all! We also tried their bbq pork Banh mi and my husband said the bread was old and stale. We love to support lil mom And pops/donut shop but it just didn't do it! I'm sure this place is been here for a long time but it definitely needs a lot of TLC! I went here tonight because I was craving both donuts and boba and this place happened to have both. I got a chocolate twist, which tasted great! It was light and fluffy and wasn't greasy at all, but the chocolate frosting could use a heavier chocolate flavor. Overall though it wasn't too sweet and it hit the spot! I also got the large taro boba milk tea and lord, when they say large they aren't kidding. I thought their large would be the usual boba place size, where it's filled with ice and it isn't actually a large, especially because it was just around $5.25, but oh my god when the drink came out I was blown away. Think slightly smaller than a large sized McDonalds soft drink, yes it's that big. They also gave me light ice, which was amazing! It was just enough ice to keep the drink cold but also not too much ice where I would be feeling ripped off (like at other boba places or at starbucks). The taro milk tea was great flavor, and the boba was pretty good! I was worried because usually if you go to a boba spot that isn't known for boba, their boba can either be too soft or too hard, but this place does it well! Can't get any more fresh and healthier than this at this hour: The donut shop is located in a so, so neighborhood right off of the 105.. they have few people sleeping in the parking lot here and there, it's LA what do you expect. The worker that helped me was super nice and patient. She made sure to tell me that she hooked it up with fresh jalapeño in the sandwich and that the bread is nice and toasted. Had been a loyal customer to this location till today ' Ordered my usual cream cheese croissant with jalapeño . When I started driving away and started to eat my sandwich I noticed that something was off , I pulled over and notice the jalapeño was all Slime and black , I felt like throwing up , ... I drove back to the donut shop we're I was received by the supposedly owner and she pulled out a bucket from the refrigerator with old cooked jalapeños that you can straight up tell there we're not good anymore, I asked for my money back or to be make a new sandwich with no jalapeño and the owner responded that there's no way they can remake or give me my money back , ... Update -July 2019- They changed their coffee brand, so now all of their coffee based drinks taste totally different. This new coffee has a bitter after taste and lacks that rich sweet body that the other coffee brand has. And it doesn't have that fresh flavor anymore :( Now it taste like the old shelf coffee you buy at the local super market. Super disappointed! Plus, one of their doughnuts tasted stale and old. This is not what I normally expect out of them at all. I hope that they can go back to their old ways soon. ----------------- As New Years arrived, I thought I would give my favorite doughnut shop a visit. To my surprise, the interior was completely remodeled. Golden Donut now has these bright orange walls with modern updated menu photos. The prices for some shakes and smoothies went up around .10-.20 cents, but that was about one or two drinks that I saw. Most of them have stayed at their same price, but an additional size of large was added to some of their shakes. Previously, they only offered small and medium size. You should expect to pay around $5.25 for their large size. The doughnuts also got a new addition of crazy flavors with chocolate and vanilla doughnuts topped with either: Oreos, M&M's, fruity pebbles and some sort of flavored pink sprinkles ?Nevertheless, their doughnuts still taste amazing and still rock their amazing affordable prices. Your typical traditional doughnuts are still under a $1, but your specialty treats, which are larger, will cost you more than a dollar, so be prepared. In additional to their shakes and treats, their coffee, which I believe is a top seller, is still the same brand with the same price. I cannot emphasize how amazing this donut shop has been over the years, but with the recent transition of a new owner I can only stay hopeful for more amazing years to come. Found this donut place in yelp. Not only do they sell donuts but they also sell a bunch of special sandwiches, subs - that tastes like bahn mi (hey, not a bad idea. They were actually very good), they also sell juices - freshly squeeze, ice cream, smoothies, and ice cream sandwiches. For such a small place, they do sell a lot. They tend to become very busy since they sell good food for excellent prices. Come in hungry as well since their sandwiches,donuts, even ice cream and smoothies are huge. They offer huge servings. My husband and I had to half a large vanilla milkshake. And we couldn't finish our vanilla sundae. Haha. Which was good since we had food to eat at home. Staff are very nice, they make your sandwiches as soon as you order and they finish in less than 5 mins. Not a long time to wait, except when they are busy of course.
