I was even happier to see one of my favorite baristas there who was at another coffee shop I frequented. The pasty selection is amazing. There was such a large variety of sweets that it was hard choosing just one. My friend and I split one-they're huge and I enjoyed a seasonal hot latte. It was the perfect balance of coffee and sweet without being overwhelming. The space is very open and vivid and would be perfect for working if you're looking for a nice space to do so. The mac and cheese was mild, creamy, and chock full of pepper. Usually I like a sharper cheese flavor, but I enjoyed it. Smoothies were extremely cheap (under $5 for a 16 oz), but unfortunately we got what we paid for. They were wayyyy too sweet for our tastes, and not a lot of any fruit flavors came through. Will be coming back next time I'm in NC. Their seasonal lattes they have are superb in creativity. Fan favorite is the fireside latte with that smoked sea salt and caramel cold foam.
