I've been coming here weekly for the last couple of months to take advantage of some of their deals on various meats, vegetables, fruits, and snacks. They usually have 2-3 things priced reasonably low each week. Admittedly, most of everything is expensive, but you can get 10% off by wearing a longhorn t-shirt on game days. For quality, I've noticed their meats have been fresh and well-cut for the most part. I've taken advantage of some steaks recently that went on sale as low as $5/lb! Their vegetables are usually of good quality as well. I enjoy perusing through what fruits they have in sale, which have been apples, oranges, and grapes as of late. They've had good deals on chips and zero-sugar sodas that made a trip to Randall's worth it for me. Plus, the workers are nice. Anytime I've had an issue during self-checkout, the staff were courteous and came over to help me right away. Yesterday, an item didn't ring up correctly and Cody, the employee, patiently worked with me to get a price adjustment. The fresh items are what make this store stand out! The produce department is filled with beautiful, just ripe fruits and vegetables. And the floral department creates tremendous seasonal displays and baskets. All the flowers and plants are fresh and colorful. I only shop Randall's when they have a good sale that temps me. This trip ended up costing $2.17 after discounts from a $17.45 original total. For that reason, I recommend the app and watching for those sweet deals! read more

As far as grocery stores go, I like Randall's for how clean and tidy the shelf stocking always is. Tons of options on brands and different dietary needs. Staff is friendly and you can find good prices if you utilize the app and digital coupons. I ordered Door Dash from Randall's for dinner fixings. DD person delivered chicken broth that exp 7/17/2025. It's now 2026!!!! I'm mad the DD person didn't look at that but appalled Randall's has product expired by SIX months on their shelves. i called Randall's and got total indifference from the person I spoke to. I like the store, I like the variety, I like their convenience, and I like saving money on their sale items. I've been going to Randalls for quite a while, but that's about to change because they're sales are getting annoying with all the restriction games they started playing recently. They have "digital only" prices; some sale prices now end on Sunday instead of Tuesday; there are Friday and Saturday only sale items; and most recently, a lot of the advertised prices are for pick up or delivery only. You shouldn't have to "read the fine print" on every item you want to purchase. Also, most sale items are not eligible for rain checks, and they're often out of stock. read more

I have a LOT of issues with this store. But... They're the closest grocery store to me, and I don't drive anymore. I make do with what I've got. The pharmacy is the absolute star of this store. I wish I could name everyone individually, but even when I can tell they're having bad day, they're still great to deal with (they're good at the "retail smile"). I would like to call out Tina in particular. She's as genuine as they get, and we have a lot of the same issues (and thus, on several of the same medications and stuff), and we can just talk about how well all that stuff is working for both of us. Everybody else has been great too, but... Tina is the main one I deal with. A few people don't wear name tags, otherwise I'd name them too. I have been going there for over 10 years, last week I needed cash back and I went to the costumer service, the lady got really upset because she had to leave her office and head to the register to help me out, then she gave me a lecture and refused to give me cash back stating that if she gave me a cash back then that will defeat the purpose of the register system. she was very disturbing to deal with. read more

I'm not a fan of Randalls, but this is by far their best location in my opinion. The store is always clean and the foods you can get to go from the deli are good. Prices are high, and they are regularly out of stock on things in their newsletter. I've never had an issue with customer service though so that's nice. I find that they run out of things quickly in terms of the sales they run in their mail outs. All in all, It's not the best, not the worst. One thing I will say is that sometimes their sales and coupons are SO good, you can get MAD savings. Like you save more than you spend time of thing. Nadine in the bakery made my daughter a custom birthday cake on only a few hours notice and was just professional and as nice and thoughtful as can be, it's rare to get customer service like that too often these days! I love the convenience of this location but find myself driving out of my way to other stores for two main reasons. 1) this store stinks! It smells very bad! It started just in the freezer section then in the back but now just the whole store stinks. It feels so dirty too. 2) the produce is bad! It's either already bad or goes bad very quickly after purchasing. The selection is better elsewhere also. And lately the store has been so hot! I know it's hot here but other establishments don't feel like this. When I walk into a grocery store I want it ti smell nice, be clean and a decent temperature. My regular weekly shopping is done at HEB. But sometimes HEB doesn't have a large variety of seafood or bakery items. These are the times that I visit Randall's. Randall's seems to have more shellfish like clams and mussels. They are by no means cheap but it is convenient to have them close to home. I also like that they have single rolls so if I want one sandwich it is easy. What I don't shop here for is the produce. It always looks old and bruised and more expensive. I also pass by the deli area, it may be larger that HEB but I like the brands HEB carries better. Usually they only have two checkouts open so there could be a wait to get out. read more

Was excited to see that they had hatch green chilies, so I asked them if they roasted and they said yes on weekends. So I went back on the weekend. I have not been here a lot, but this is the second time in this month on a Saturday afternoon. Today, I arrived at the checkout line hoping the check out gal would be friendly and it was the same lady from last week. She didn't say hi or give eye contact. I don't think she spoke at all, Which is all fine and good but the senior fellow in front of me was new to this store. He had 3 12 packs of soda and some soup and salad and wasn't even offered a bag to carry to his car until he asked for it. Hey ! Randall's corporate what the heck are you doing? I had an errand in the same shopping center where this store is located. My wife asked me to pick up two items from HEB but since I was right next to this store, I thought that I could save a little time. I needed American cheese and sugar. I went to the deli counter and stood there for a few minutes and was finally acknowledged by a young man (Apparently a new employee). I asked for 1/2 pound of white American cheese. The man rummaged around in a cabinet for a minute then asked if I had said "Smoked American cheese" to which I replied "No, white American cheese". He then asked 'White or yellow" to which I replied "White". Right at the time he asked what slicer number, some kind of manager approached and asked him if he had been health screened today to which he replied no. The manager then said "You need to get that done now" The guy had already touched the unwrapped block of cheese. I noticed then that the slicer had a pile of other cheese crumbs that no one was wiping up. The manager told another employee to take over for the original clerk but the other employee was walking away. The manager called out to him and the guy turned around and threw up both hands in some kind of gesture that wasn't conducive to customer service. I started to walk away to look for my other item but disgust took over. I told the manager guy that he needed to get his people better training and I left. In thinking about this, I remembered that my first trip to HEB this morning, the parking lot was packed. Randall's had plenty of parking spaces right close to the door. I, of course went back to HEB for my two items and their lot was still packed but I was in and out in eight minutes and both the deli clerk and the cashier were quite pleasant. In thinking back to Randall's deli, It seemed that the employees don't even like each other and they certainly weren't working as a team. While I'm at it, Randall's management, get rid of your stupid pricing. I know that your system is designed to build loyalty but it clearly isn't working. I have heard so many people saying that your prices are too high. I know that if you have the card, you get a discount on mostly everything but how many first time visitors never come back. I have always been a fan of Randall's, up until my past couple of trips. In fact, I drive out of my way, past 2 HEBs in my own hood to go to Randall's. I tend to go early in the morning to avoid screaming kids, the mid-day mini-van mom rush and game day crowds. Randall's only opens self check in the morning. I buy a ton of produce (bananas are always on the list) which means I have to look up every item and it takes forever. I'm okay with a friendly good morning, but on my last trip seems like EVERY employee said good morning, and then how are you today or how's your day going, and nice weather today. What the heck??! I need to shop, not have a social event w/my local grocer. If you wanna chat, you should buy me a cup of coffee. It's early, damn it. I bring my own bags. I don't care about the environment, but it's the trendy thing to do right now (kidding). I guess yesterday I went late enough in the morning (around 9 am) to get someone to actually scan my items for me at the checkout. However, even with my own bags, they put everything into plastic bags and then threw a couple of items into each of my own bags, smashing my bread. I had to undo all of it and redo it myself, giving them back the unnecessary plastic bags. What a waste. Randalls' we need to talk. It's not you, it's me. I just need some space. However, I would like to give a shout-out to Melissa - who offered a warm welcome followed by the friendliest check out experience when I shopped there on Friday, 4/5/2019. It is the type of customer service I do not encounter at this particular store. From a shopper's perspective, Melissa went above and beyond to make sure she delivered excellent customer services, but I am guessing to Melissa, she was doing her job. I am also guessing her professionalism likely isn't being acknowledged or recognized by the management. I'd visit this store often if more workers are like Melissa! read more

I give this store a strong 2 stars rating because they carry all the standard food you need to live. I am new to Austin and this is my first time shopping at Randall's. I have been going to HEB but decided to come here since I heard people say that they have a good selection of organic goods. I heard wrong. It was pretty weak. But that's ok- they are not know as an organic food store. The low score really comes from other reasons. I had to subtract one star for aesthetic reasons (store seems dirty and disorganized), subtract one star for the cashiers unfriendliness, and subtract one star because they don't make it convenient for you to get their member card to receive discounts. The prices aren't better than their competitors. Costco has better organic selections, wines, meats, and cheeses. HEB has a better meat department-prices and selection. I was recently in this store and they have hired a security person to enforce there mandatory mask policy for customers. However, while I shopped I noticed at least 3 employees without mask and 2 wearing theirs below the nose. Honestly I disagree with a mandatory mask policy and I don't want any employee to be disciplined. However, if you're going to mandate to the customer via a security guard, then make sure your employees lead by example. I like this store for its convenience. I don't like the prices. I've only once experienced poor customer service when a cashier was sharing her political stance rather rudely. Otherwise it's a pleasant location to shop. read more

We shop Randall's because they have great deals on their Randall's For U. Their prices are generally more expensive over all. The digital deals are amazing prices. The BOGO deals are also amazing. The problem I have with them is when they offer free items. We can go the day the add comes out, and 90% of the time, they are out of stock. Since it is a FREE item, they don't give rainchecks. A lot if the times, they don't even have a slot showing that they stocked the item. I have gotten to where I don't even look for the FREE items anymore. It is disappointing!!! read more

Cashier (very polite) send me to guest service desk. 5 minutes later someone arrived and help a customer ahead of us with money order. Many employees including manger passed by many times and while we tried, we got no attention. 12 minutes later finally we got attention but nothing like sorry for waiting at such.
