While walking through the store, we noticed the Valentine's section beautifully decorated with festive items, gifts, and seasonal goodies. It really added a cheerful vibe and made the visit more fun than expected. Walmart always has a wide variety of products, and it's easy to find both everyday essentials and seasonal surprises in one trip. This location is most easily shopped in the early morning, simply because the store is the cleanest then and there are fewer people. The produce section is pretty good, but HEB tends to beat it on most items. Check out is 85% self service, so that makes this location good for fast trips. They have strong seasonal offerings. Summer? You'll see rows of towels, floaties, and sunscreen. Easter? There will be candy, plastic eggs, and stuffed rabbits. Back to school? Backpacks, crayons, and notebooks. You name it. BEWARE. This location is really terrible. No one cares. This is the second time I have ordered groceries and my order was stolen by the driver. The Walmart staff at curbside are rude and could care less. My dog food had maggots all in the bag a couple weeks ago. They are truly a disgusting establishment. Unbelievably awful. The app was experiencing "technical difficulties" so I couldn't pick up my online order (which I did to save time) and wouldn't cancel my order either. Had to go in and grab the items I needed, which ended up taking almost half an hour because NOBODY was able to tell me where something was. There is nothing online or in store stating that you can not exchange an item purchased for a smaller size and still get your sale price that you paid. I have my receipt for said items and tried to exchange said Christmas present. Customer Service was no help atall . All I could do is get my money back. My first review for today was in the Cosmetic department. I usually buy my OTC credit items via the pharmacy. The pharmacy was crazy busy as they had just opened from lunch. I headed over to find out if I could pay for my items in the cosmetic department, I was greeted immediately by Dipti. She was very reassuring that she handles customers with OTC credits all the time and yes, definitely was a very smooth checkout. She did need some help and requested assistance from Jessica. One of my items was not going through the OTC credit and Jessica assisted Dipti with clearing the register. Jessica was very apologetic to me, but we were able to figure it out together. She tried several different ways, but it just wasn't covered. Thank you so much Jessica for your kindness, friendliness and willingness to help. You both definitely went above and beyond in your customer service skills to assist me today. My second review was the automotive department again. Levi assisted me via phone. I headed to the store to get my tires that had come in from online installed. Sebastian helped me with check in. Joshua checked me out. Such friendly team members. I'm not a fan of Wally World but their package pickup area is a strong 4 stars. We ordered 2 kids' bikes for a Blue Santa event and I steeled myself for what I thought would be a poop show. Boy was I wrong. There was excellent signage directing me to their dedicated pickup area. I was directed to call them or download their App. I called and a very polite young man took my information and actually thanked me for my business. Within 10 minutes our bikes appeared and I was assisted in packing them into my car. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! read more

Took 5 hours to get 2 tires then they charged me for warranty I did not approve. Took 30 minutes to get a manager back to automotive who could remove the warranty from the bill. There were only two people working in the shop and one who waited on customers. While waiting for the manager to finally arrive I spoke with a lady who said she had been waiting for her tires since 9:30 that morning and it was now 3:00 pm. The man working the counter was new, by his admission, and couldn't explain what the $28 lifetime balance was and didn't know how to take it off the bill. When a manager finally did show up he explained it was for balancing the 2 tires that they put on the car. Why does it just say "Lifetime free balancing" then and not "To balance the tires you bought?" He explained that they added the extra lifetime balancing for only $2 more per tire as they "thought" I would want that for only and extra $4. If the first man had been able to explain that I would have said OK, but I was so frustrated with how poorly everything went today and the fact that it took 6 hours to get two tires at the LARGEST RETAILER IN THE WORLD, that I told him to refund the difference. I'll never go to the automotive service there again, and that's too bad because we have 3 cars and while we seldom needed service, that's where we used to go. It has really gone downhill lately. Last night I spent over $600 dollars outfitting my son's new home. We had 2 carts completely stacked. We packed the new items in his car. When we got to his place, we realized the crockpot wasn't there. I immediately called Walmart and spoke to the manager. He was able to look at footage and saw the crockpot under one of our carts. So someone apparently stole it as it wasn't returned. The manager said there was nothing he could do. So I asked if the outside footage was available and perhaps we could see what happened to it. He said the lights were broke and they had NO WORKING outdoor cameras. SO HOW UNSAFE IS THIS!!!! WHAT IF SOMEONE GETS ROBBED OR PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED??!!!! Walmart GET WITH IT!!!! While I do agree that my experience is my own, and do not want to take away from anyone else's foul experiences written about herein, I wanted to say something positive about the people in automotive. I have had many issues with this location concerning service. Many of those issues were due to problems on the IT side which many businesses could say these days if they cared to be honest about their poorly thought out budget planning. The online service for Walmart is poorly thought out and programmed. It causes many serious problems within the physical locations...such as the myth that when one purchases a battery through the online service that there is no core charge. IT's part in this seems to have been that the core charge through the online service doesn't reflect in a notable way following the online purchase. Therefore, if an employee were to view the transaction afterward, there wouldn't be a way to see the core charge as noted though I assumed it didn't need to be pointed out. All that said, I have seen the automotive department go above and beyond what even Walmart provides (sorry corporation that they are) in the way of customer care. The level of humanity and kindness exhibited by Janice, Joseph and Levi are very much appreciated by this customer. I would hope that Walmart would nurture and care for folks like these. They treated me with kindness, respect and as though family. That, at least is my experience. That is also why I have given five stars here. I am not giving them to Walmart which is a plague upon the world. These stars are for the human beings locked inside the powerful jaws of this machine known as Walmart. read more

I stopped by to return a $15 bowl today. Had my receipt and the online bar code all ready to go. The regular employee and then the manager had me stand there for 30 minutes while they tried to get their computer to work, only to tell me that I should drive to another Walmart and try my return there. OMG, DO NOT USE THE AUTOMOVE SERVICE CENTER! I went in for an oil change yesterday (3-13-24). 1) The old crew is gone, 2) New crew only speaks spanish, with a little english. 3) The oil change checklist is a farse and borders on fraud. They claim to have done many items on the list and they DID NOT! This is potentially a serious safety issue (e.g. checking other fluids and tire pressure). 4) The automotive manager tried to argue these points and other items but I told her that I STOOD RIGHT AT MY TRUCK! My 80+ year-old mother ordered me something which they delivered in a torn up and re-taped box. Not what I was expecting. Another one was ordered and then tried to take back the original one. When I took it back the lady at the returns desk pretty much ignored everything I said, while I was talking to her as she whipped out her razor blade to open up the box to make sure that everything was in it. I'm curious, what would've happened if someone else had put something in there different than what we were told was being bought at the time of purchase? Would I have been stuck with it and accused oftrying to steal from them? She used the app to order them and when she requested they be picked up from my house, FedEx refused to take the return because there was no label. 100 number told them they didn't know how to do it. I would guess that it's outsourcing?! So now I have to figure out how to return the other one. They refused and said they had no way of looking up her info at customer service at Walmart, yet they were able to give her credit for the one they were able to scan a tag for. They seem to be really great at telling you no and not really interested in winning you over by telling you yes. I can see why I don't shop here personally. read more

I'm perennially lukewarm about Walmart, but I have to give kudos when I find good things happening. Like many Walmarts, I find their produce section to be iffy and the cashiers some of the most lackluster people I've ever met in customer service. However, I ended up kind of touring the entire store while waiting for an oil change and air filter to be put in my car. In that time span, I chatted with or was helped by employees in the photo department, auto department, even the attached Burger King. A good attitude, and to top it off, I got to see where this Walmart shines. This particular store is clean, with an impressive selection of dry and frozen goods. And I can point to at least two areas where I save a bit of cash by coming to this Walmart right off the top of my head 1. Far and away one of the best deals is to be found in the Auto Service department. The synthetic oil change I need for my car is about $10 cheaper here. But the real savings come from the air filter service - which is free, so long as you buy the filter there. I purchased the same FRAM filter here for $8 that I've gotten installed at a different shop for a $50 service fee. By my count, that's $52 for the two services saved right there. Just come on a mid-morning from Tuesday through Thursday to avoid a line. 2. I like using pappardelle egg pasta in my cooking. A lot. And you can pick up over a pound of it here for $2.50. I've seen 16oz packages of the exact same quality pasta at supermarkets for $4 and gourmet grocery stores for $10. Do the math. I think the key here is: shop on the off hours, avoid the crowds, and bring your cell phone so that you can play a game or something while the checkout folks slouch their way through the process. I'm giving 5 Stars because of an associate named Jaylin, who works in the shoe department ... Came in looking for a size 10 Brahma pull up steel toe work boot, this was the third Wal-Mart I tried. As for the other two, see my reviews. They had 9's and 11's but no 10's. I saw one worker in the back near the shoes and I asked her for help, she replied, what we have on the shelf is all we have. At the same time another worker walked up and asked what I needed and the other worker told her. However, the second worker, Jaylin, said we do have a back stock. She then went over to the shelf and scanned the tag and then she said, yes, we have some. She then went to the back and shortly after, she came out with my boots. Thanks Jaylin for taking the extra step to ensure customer service and customer satisfaction. She could have simply gave the same answer as the first worker. read more

I was so upset after my experience here it took me months to even calm down enough to write this review. It was an accident to begin with. I never shop at this Walmart because I've never had anything but poor customer service so I gave up on it years ago. When I was doing my grocery shopping online I must've accidentally chosen this location versus the newer location where I normally shop if I go to Walmart. So I found myself at the Walton Way store. They advised me almost immediately that file order would be delayed because they were running behind. When I asked approximately how long they said it could be up to one hour so I excepted that I was just going to hunker down and settle and listen to the radio maybe read a little and wait. It never hurts to exercise your patience! After the hour I flagged someone down and he advised he would check out the situation and let me know. He came back to the car and said it looked like it could be another hour or two so I advise that I would be leaving to go home and return when they notified me that my groceries were ready and he said that would work. No sooner that I got home and parked in the driveway then my text went off tell me my order was ready which I found odd. I tried to call several times to verify but could not get anyone to pick up. On about the 6th try I did get a live person who advised me that yes my order was ready. When I got back to WalMart I checked in and was advised my order was not quite ready yet What???, bottom line 45" later I got my groceries. So a total of a half my day-wasted. Hi, I am an Anonymous employee. The overnight manager tried to shoo me as though as I was an animal during my shift, telling me to "Get". Her name is "Peggy" and I have not once in my working time met a supervisor like her. I forbid you ask her a question regarding the workplace otherwise she will have a seemingly irate breakdown that makes you wonder if there's something else going on at home. Warning -- do not purchase money orders from Walmart for online mobile deposits. I purchased money orders from Walmart for decades to mobile deposit my cash with no problems. However, Walmart stopped allowing mobile deposit recently without warning their customers. As a customer courtesy, a simple sign next to the money order ads would have been sufficient to warn me and I would have not purchase it. Also, the salesclerks will not provide receipts, salesclerks are supposed to provide receipts to customers without the customers asking for them, just like an automatic check out machine will print out a receipt without the customer asking for it. To return the money order because mobile deposit is prohibited, I had to wait 10 days to get my refund. Because I was not provided a receipt the store would charge a steep refund fee. This experience shows me the rip-offs and the atrocious customer services from Walmart. read more

Hmm, I thought I wrote a review on this Walmart. It's the closest one to my house. It is across the street from my HEB. I mention this as there have been a couple of times HEB didn't have the grocery I wanted so I drive across the street. No way, would I do my regular grocery shopping here. At least 50% of my shopping is in the produce department. I have always been disappointed with Walmart's produce, most are sad looking. They do have excellent onion rolls. What I do enjoy about this Walmart, it's clean, organized, and fun. Fun? You ask. Yep, they let me pull a folding chair over from the furniture section to the Electronics section. I plop in front of a big screen TV, grab a bunch of free sample from the grocery area. I am set for a couple of hours. If it gets boring, I race over to the toy department and ride a bike around the aisles. Have you ever tried pushing the buttons on the stuffed talking animals all at the same time? It is tough. Employees just don't care. That act like angry zombies and it's getting worst and worst. When I'm there "associates" speak bad about each other to their back but in front of customers. When I call in to for example the Auto department, they pick up and immediately hang up. This is the only Walmart I have ever gone to that doesn't honor the shelf price I picked up an item that was on the shelf for $11.98 which was an awesome price for the item. I looked for another but it was the last one which made sense to me because it was priced so well. So when I checked out it rang up for $17.97. They refused to honor the price that was listed on the shelf they took like $1 off for the "inconvenience". Their stockers seem to do this a lot because this has also happened with washcloths and towels. They need to be more aware of where item should be stocked to avoid this issue. read more

honestly, I feel like the store seems to be going down the drain more every day. It's become almost impossible to get help anywhere in the store. I truly dislike that you can only check out through self check out and when you go through the self check out you're forced to be treated like you're an inconvenience by the people who are standing there to be of assistance, not to mention I have yet to go through that area when there is more than one employee who isn't using their time to complain about the customers and having to help them. You can't have it both ways you either open up registers and check people out or you help them when you're impossible and obnoxious self check out glitch on the regular. Walmart is already a cesspool, this one in particular fails on all levels. Employees are obviously understaffed and it's reflected in their attitude. They were extremely busy the day I was there with 1 cashier who literally had to look up every item on their plastic sheet. Meanwhile they had another employee managing all the self checkout registers, as I watched almost every person checking out needed help with the self checkout. Do not order pickup from this Walmart. They have no clue what they're doing. They're taking more orders than they can handle, which results in nonsensical wait times. The first time I went, I waited roughly a half hour (this is over a month ago) and figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. My wife ordered today, received a text that the order was ready, left promptly, and has been waiting since 5:23. It is now 6:38. Ridiculous. Go to HEB across the street. They're a well oiled machine. I don't shop at Walmart for myself, I am a spark delivery driver so I do in store shopping, curbside pickup, and sometimes in-store pickup for general merchandise. This store is by far the most inefficient store I have ever seen in my entire life. Every time I've gone to pick up an order at curbside, it's at least a 45 minutes wait, and during that time 9-10 other people get their order before me. And when I go inside to shop, they're out of most of the stuff the customer orders so I have to substitute items or have to completely skip over the items if there are no valid substitutions. I don't know what the hell they're doing in there but their system is absolute crap and they need a complete overhaul, whether it be with management or the workers. Something's gotta give. Dropped vehicle off at 12:00 AM and 3 hours later they told us they could not change our tires. Then they lose our keys and didn't load or assist in loading the tires into the truck. If I could give a 0 for the stars I would. They have horrible customer service at this location. I spoke with 2 different employees and also a manager and all of them refused to help me. We had purchased a battery from Walmart and it failed. We had the battery exchange and it worked for about 3 months then it also failed again. They refused to give us a replacement or a refund for the 2nd failed battery. They have horrible products and horrible policy about Replacing or refunding products that are no good. I will never shop at that location or any other Walmart location ever again because they have such horrible customer service. read more

This walmart is a shame on the name of customer respect and service. I believe, one should never plan depending on their commitment to fulfill an order. I learnt it the hard way and to my surprise also learnt that how arrogant their staff could be about their inefficiency. I ordered a customized cake, ordered in person, at the store, took a screenshot of the order and planned my event completely convinced that I will get the cake the next day. The next day, there was no sign of the cake when I went to pick it at the agreed upon time. Their arrogant staff told me that they cannot do anything as the person who took the order was a new recruit, he made a mistake and actually order was never taken inspite of my screenshot of the order on their system. I do not understand how their IT infra works when an order is updated on system but actually not taken? what kind of nonsense is this. What kind of inefficient management they have who do not even bother to look at orders in the queue and act upon it. These people had absolutely no decency to atleast apologize to ruining my day and event by leaving me in a position where I could not find another cake at the last minute.
