First time coming to a Trader Joe's, because I live in Hawaii and we don't have one. While visiting Austin Texas we decided to find one. I honestly didn't realize that it's a grocery store. But I knew the had great snacks...lol! Service lines was fast and quick checking out the store is super clean and well stocked. Employees even kept checking in on us. Cool deal all around.

If you don't know about Trader Joe's what rock have you been living under? while we all love our TJs this location holds a special place for me as i frequently stop in to grab goodies for dinner, snacks, etc- This review is for the staff. In a big city where it can feel lonely sometimes, the staff here have made me feel such a sense of community. Seeing those familiar faces and chatting (even briefly) with my TJs crew, it makes me feel warm and cozy. Liv and Lonnie particularly. Always have a great attitude and make sure to greet me by name. i genuinely love that experience and i encourage you all to visit this location if you're in the area.

Sunday before a holiday. The place packed. But oddly, wasn't had to maneuver the isle. Even with a shopping cart. Got a few things I wanted, and couple things I didn't know I wanted. Fruit looked really good. But the pineapple I bought was insane juicy. I now wish I bought a second one. I'm pretty sure I'll eat it in 2 days. It's that's crazy good. And at $2.99 each. It was a great price. My cashier was a Doll, very friendly and nice. She was quick too.

Love getting items from traders joes! Products are good and nicer quality as well! Our recent go to stuff is Korean kimpap! Cheap and good

    The best snickerdoodles.

Trader Joe's is the best!!! They have such a wide selection of unique products, super creative displays and product packaging, and super friendly cashiers. Some of my favorite of their products are the garlic hummus, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, mini carrot cake, snickerdoodles, and the Trader Joe's talkies. And, if you don't fall in love with any of these, I am sure you will find something that suits you with the constant arrival of new Trader Joe's products! I also really love the plant and flower sections at Trader Joe's. As you can see in the photos I have added, there are many many fresh cut flowers, and an amazing plant selection. Over all, Trader Joe's is an amazing specialty grocery store not only with unique products, but also with creative touches like their staple "Fireless Flyer," cow hunt for children, amazing signage and product displays, and art all over the store of local things. Trader Joe's is the best!!!!

This is my favorite place. Service is amazing, everybody is so nice and their products are the bestttt. I went there for the release of the spring mini tote bags and there was a line before the opening , I got to get the 4 different colors and I'm so happy!! They're really cool. here are a few of my fav items:

Fresh produce is so much cheaper here!

TJ's is a little piece of heaven and I am finding myself coming back here weekly. I'm a little bummed I haven't been coming sooner, but I'm here now! Not only are prices superb, but they have such a wide variety of offerings. Their fresh produce, florals, proteins, and just about everything is way below cost compared to other grocery stores. A few of my fave items from Trader Joe's are their chicken soup dumplings, frozen edamame bags, belgium chocolates, asiago cheese dip, roast beef, garlic hummus, and gnocchi. Let's be honest they have so many things that it's just about hard to not fill up your grocery cart with everything lol I'll be a fan of Trader Joe's and yes if you do freeze their food and put it into a freeze bag with ice packs, it will travel well on a non-stop flight to El Paso for your family.

Can't beat the prices and unique finds in adorable packaging at Trader Joe's. I like that a lot of the products are in smaller sizes, like the Elderflower drink and coconut water yuzu comes in sets of 4 instead of 6. Even though my cart is always filled I never miss on my absolute favorite things to get which are the drinks, the Indian and Middle Eastern frozen food options, the hummus (especially the garlic one), cheeses (as someone from WI I can say this is a great range of selections in top quality for a grocery store in TX), and the bakery (especially the chocolate baklava). I look forward to seeing what their seasonal options are every visit. I try to only come Early early early, especially on the weekends because it gets super busy with lines outside and the parking lot is shared with multiple other businesses and people drive horribly in this area. We usually try to get there about 8:30 on weekends because by 10am it's starting to get jam packed and can be difficult to browse. Staff is friendly and I always end up having a full conversation with them, not just small talk while checking out.

    Fern face!

I feel like I'm entering a magical fairyland every time I go to buy fruit (which is organic AND way cheaper than HEB).

Apparently, not realizing this page already existed. Anyway, covering all my bases and doing a review here as well. Note: I've also suggested an edit for the duplicate businesses. Ok now that is out of the way. Review time: I really love this location so much. The store is huge with wide aisles making it easy to navigate compared to the smaller stores. Even if it's crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon you can still get to the items you need with ease. The store is still very clean and of course modern since the rebuild. Employees are friendly. The shelves are stocked fully 99.999% of the time. I live extremely close to the East 7th Street store (5 min away) and opt for this location time and time again.

I love that they have a parking garage so if it's pouring down with rain, one doesn't get drenched trying to get one's vehicle with a basket load of groceries. On the ground floor, there is True Texas BBQ with ample seating. One can take the elevator or escalater up to the second floor to the supermarket. On the escalater, there is one side for you and the other side for your trolly of groceries. I have abandoned my neighborhood HEB and now patronize this one at 2400 S. Congress Ave.

Contrary to another review, they usually have fresh fruit on hand; bananas in a basket and prepared fruit cups. They have a fair selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and coffees. They have sandwiches and other prepared food (e.g. giant $4 burritos) in the cooler. One time I had to ask for toilet paper and the guy brought it out from the back room. I suppose it took up too much space on the shelf. This is the alternative to Royal Blue, which has even higher prices, although Royal Blue makes some food in-house. On the whole, I prefer Second Street because Royal Blue has a weird vibe and some weird brands and this place is a regular store.

Honestly unremarkable. An independent convenience store that knows it can charge more because of where it is. The staff were friendly enough, but the stock was kind of limited. That might be due to so many people being in town that week but they seemed to run out of drinks fairly quickly. It's also no fault of the store but it's worth mentioning right in front of their doors seems to be a popular hangout for Austin's homeless. I don't think we managed a single visit here without being asked for change. If you need a quick snack they are in a great location, just don't expect an overly pleasant visit.

For a dollar and some change it's a great size! As I noticed other people gathering around the hot food line, I couldn't help but decide on getting a plate. I picked up the ranchero bisteak and chicken Tinga and for my two sides, I decided on the plantains and nopales. Both of the meats I decided on were extremely delicious in flavor and the beef was exceptionally tender. I got red and green salsa and it appears that the red salsa is a tad bit creamy, which is not something I've had many times before. It was unique and extremely tasty. As for the green salsa, I have yet to try, but I am sure it won't disappoint. I do want to give this place praise because I have passed it up before, but it is not a place to be looked over. There's so many other goodies in here that you won't find at a regular grocery store so it's definitely worth coming inside and checking out especially if you just want something to do. The people were so nice exceptional customer service. There is seating if you want to eat inside and they were playing good music. I almost forgot to mention how exceptional the sides were. Often times people mess up nopales, but these were delicious.
