I just had the most disgusting eating experience that I've had in my 44 years on Earth. Luckily I had only had like 1 bite of my food when I discovered this mystery prize in my food (in picture). It was like a combination of melted plastic that had hardened with some sort of wire also melted in it. To top it off, after the waitress took it back to show manager, the manager didn't even make an appearance to say sorry, offer 1,000 dollars for the traumatic event, nothing, lol. For something this large, hard and disgusting to make it into the food without anyone noticing, it makes me wonder what other prizes people have won. Had a few tables waitresses randomly bring me refills before right before asking myself witch is a huge plus in my book. Overly fiesta-decorated Mex family joint with surprisingly delicious food. I really didn't expect anything here would wow me, but I was wrong. I had Relleno Jarocho, which was an atypical chile relleno stuffed with salad shrimp, fresh mushrooms, jack, and smothered in la crema sauce. Delicious. All other dishes were nicely prepared, as well. Their beans had a nice bacony finish, leading me to believe they make them with glorious bacon fat. La Senora de la Casa was an absolute hoot, as she made her way to all the tables with happy banter. I made the mistake of ordering a drink at the onset of dinner en espanol, and she forced me to use my broken spanish the rest of the evening--and would not recognize any request of mine in english. We've been coming here for years. Last visit within the last year was bad. And we were not going to return, but we did today and happy we did. I think the last visit was when new owners had just taken over but the food was sweet tasting and we did not enjoy it. Tonight was great and we both enjoyed the food and the service. The food is ok. Always has been. It's mediocre Mexican food that I bet you they microwave most of it. You used to be able to go here and feed a family. Save your money or go somewhere like Texas Roadhouse which I used to consider expensive. ITS THE SAME PRICE NOW. Might as well go to somewhere that actually tastes like it should be expensive. I'm so tired of EVERYONE being greedy. They make plenty of money and now they raised their prices to the point where I'll never go back. Waited over 30 minutes just to get our order taken and then waited over 45 minutes for our food just for them to come out with food we didn't even order. 2 servers walked by and asked if we wanted more chips and salsa and never got brought out. If I can give this place a negative score I would. I asked for a quote to prepare Mexican rice for a side dish to feed 40 people. The price?! $200. Yes that's not a typo. They claim to have better food with the new owners but I would much rather travel farther to Hayden where the food is authentic and priced according to what is served. Pretty good food, we used to go to another place but their service got bad, so now we come here and they are always friendly. Good chips and salsa, only 1 refill on the house though. Have been here three time since new owners. Owner was here tonight and very friendly but who was my waiter or waitress? After order no one checked on me. Prices inconsistent as they make a new menu but I feel my dish was priced this time as a seafood dish. Everyone needs time to grow so that is why I write this and will still visit. We enjoyed the food: chips were warm and salsa was flavorful. My chicken enchilada and chili relleno were delicious. Rice was very good although I've had better in Texas and Calif. Refried beans were tasty - but just a little on the thin side. My daughter had the chalupa and said it was excellent. The lettuce was very fresh on both our plates and the rice and beans were plentiful. The regular frozen margarita was very mellow and somewhat icy but priced accordingly. The place was clean - so were the ladies restrooms. :-) Very friendly and attentive staff. We will go again. read more

This is my favorite Mexican spot in the area. I love chicken mole and they have the best ever! Tonight I tried the Siete Mares ( 7 seas soup) it is huge and delicious! They serve 2 salsas with the chips and a small plate of Mexican slaw that is spicy and limey and delicious! After dinner you get a little complementary desert ( a crispy flour tortillas chip and a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream and drizzled w/ chocolate and strawberry sauce. Excellent service and atmosphere. This review was meant for the Hayden location, but I'm sure post falls is just as good! read more

This is by far the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I got the steak&chicken fajitas(no guacamole) and they gave me steak and shrimp fajitas with guacamole. The fajitas had no flavor, they gave me TONS of onions but almost no bell peppers, the rice was dry and clumpy. Our "cheese nachos" was just a skillet full of melted white cheddar. My wife got carne asada tacos and they were bland and didn't even come with onion(I gave her some of mine because they gave me PLENTY) and to top it all off the waitress didn't come by at all to refill any drinks or get us more chips for our skillet of melted cheese(no I'm not calling them nachos) we won't be returning. read more

We will not be back EVER and I work in 2 restaurants and will actively be telling people about my experience in addition to finding anyone to look into this restaurants practices. You can say whatever you want about how expensive things are now and labor but you are in no way paying more for product than other restaurants that are offering the same food for way less. And before you say it.... No, it's not quality, and you're not better than any other Mexican restaurant in this area, and I'm not 1 of 1000. I've read you're google reviews and there are TONS of people who share my views ... to which they are bullied by you instead of offered another try on their next visit and a welcome back to make up for their less than desirable experience. Also, google reviews fall off so it is ever changing your score, yelp does not. If you're happy with the way you treat the people who share their experience by calling them liars and telling them not to come back then keep doing it, but know that those people pay your bills. Also, I would like you to respond to the fact that you hire young people and tell them that they are not allowed to keep tips but are required to put them in the register because you pay them more than minimum wage while you harass your tables and yell at them over the head set. After 2 entrees and 2 drinks our bill was $110 and we ate on the patio. When we paid we had exact cash on the table which Miguel picked up, counted and then closed and locked the patio door. You are overly nice in public and horrible behind closed doors. read more

We've been here about 5 times so far. The service is good and attentive. We usually just have water and the staff usually give up a big pitcher of ice water. It must be that hot sauce! Love the chips and salsa, both mild and hot salsas. The daily specials are good but we really enjoy the fajitas. They bring it out on the iron skillet sizzling nuclear hot. Really good with the tortillas. Avoid the " shrimp quesadilla ". That dish was wrong on so many levels. The small "bay shrimp" were definitely past their prime on their way to funky town. Plus, pungent shrimp mixed with cheese, that was a recipe for barfness. 2 people can get out of there for under $20 easy. It's Mexican, c'mon. read more

I'm giving the worst review I have ever given about this place. The two stars were given for the food. It was good, but the service was awful. The guy who took our order seemed he was pissed off at the world. We had to ask for everything- extra chips, water, salsa. They didn't ask if we needed anything at the end. We had to ask for our check cause we waited so long.They usually give us a little dessert at the end- had to ask for that. No smiles or thank yous for coming on our way out. We are pretty bummed after our visit earlier this evening. This was one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, but they've had a change of ownership recently and it's just not the same. Our drink orders were wrong, three of the four meals were incorrect, and the service was pretty terrible. I ordered the nachos exactly as they are described on the menu and they came out as a plate of chips with only cheese and beans on them. Our friends ordered fish tacos (the ones we've had at Rancho before were AWESOME) and they were literally a flour tortilla with one small, flat piece of nasty fish on them, NOTHING ELSE. It was so strange that we just started laughing. When we asked our server about the tacos and about my boring nachos, he responded with "what else would you like on them?" Um... all the things listed on the menu? The hostess served us much of the time, which in her defense, she was very young and being a server likely isn't her job. But when she brought out each plate she said "this?" and showed us the plate so we could try to guess what on earth it was and who ordered it. The whole experience was so bizarre. We tried to laugh it off and enjoy the meal as much as we could, but it was pretty disappointing. Hopefully things will get better as time goes on, but we will be finding a new favorite restaurant. read more

Restaurant had nice decor and we were seated pretty quickly. I admit it took some time to have someone come over and ask what we wanted to drink. We did sit for a lengthy period of time before they took our order. But the food was brought to us pretty quickly and hot. It does seem to be short staffed as we had two different waitress/waiter. I placed a to-go order which they were spot on with, very large portions and everything was perfect. I ordered a chili verde burrito which is really good and large for the price, and also albondigas soup. The albondigas taste like oil and flavorless. I'm kind of upset as I was looking forward to the flavor. I visited the Spokane location the other day and had the albondigas and it was so good I figured I'd try post falls location since it's closer to where I'm staying. The cold weather has been making me crave this soup. Never again will I order this again from this location. It's awful. The meatballs don't seem fully cooked. The cabbage salsa stuff they gave me on the side with chips taste like vinegar and overall I'm cringing, I've never given a review for anything but this place needs it. read more

Terrible food. The tortillas were rubber, the tacos absurdly horrible, the salsa tasteless tomato water and green ???! The chips were greasy and smelled/tasted slightly rancid.
