We have been here 4 times previously and have noticed a pattern of slow service but good food. This time We went on a Thursday night - very busy. Short staff again it seemed. Slow service. we waited so for drink refills, for our food, for our check. The food is normally fantastic. We get arroz con pollo which is always Fantastic. This time I tried something new ...combination plate of taco, relleno, and tamale. All three needs salt. Beans need salt. Tamale masa was a little gummy. Rice was good. I only ate half before I decided the flavor wasn't worth the calories. I won't order that again. We will try one more time. If the service doesn't improve ... we will look somewhere else. read more

Informed the manager and he 'wrote off' our meals which we had four or five bites of each and failed to offer an apology or even offer to buy our beverages and ask us to come back for another experience. This is one of many many many Mexican restaurants in Post Falls and one of the two best. Between La Cabana and Rancho, your desires for just about any Mexican food dish can be satisfied. My family and I went here yesterday for dinner. The service was very good and friendly. The food was inexpensive, large portions and delicious. The salsa and guacamole were a fresh and yummy way to start off our meal. The only reason I am giving this review 4 stars rather than 5 is because the bathroom needed attention. The hand soap was out, no toilet paper in one of two stalls and the paint was just slopped on the walls rather unprofessionally. That said, my whole family agrees we will definitely return due to the fast, friendly service and well priced delicious food. read more

Probably my favorite place in town. The service is absolutely fantastic and the food is delicious. The only gripe I've ever heard is that it's not "authentic Mexican food" because of the cheese. To that, I say "whatever dudes". Everything I've tried on the menu has been awesome. Even carry out orders are prepared quickly to order and they'll put your stuff in a box so that it doesn't spill in the car. No complaints here. read more

Had great expectations coming here after all the reviews...the chips were warm but the salsa was tasteless and very mild...the chicken taco salad was filling with lots of veggies...the shredded beef chimichanga was good with lots of flavor...the special which was steak picado was ok, had a oily or butter taste, rice was good with almost creamy refried beans...the customer service was excellent except when it came time to leave, and the waitress was very loud...decent prices for ok food... read more

Love coming here when we're craving Mexican food. The cabbage relish they serve with the chips and salsa is so good. Salsa is okay, chips are great. They have large portions and everything we've gotten so far has been delicious. Beans are usually really good but some days they can be off and really watery. Not typical though. read more

I like the way this place looks from the outside. The people that run the place seem to be very nice. The decoration inside is fairly tacky. The food is good if your standard is Taco Bell. Actually, Taco Bell is a little bit better. Even the margarita wasn't done right, how do you screw up a frozen margarita? My son and I love the chips and salsa which always arrive at the table as soon as you sit down. Great place for kids with a very reasonably priced child's menu, crayons to keep them busy while waiting for dinner and a ballon on the way out the door. Never again. I raved about the new management here a year ago but much has changed. Took my family and was a terrible experience. My daughter ordered from the kids menu and they brought an adult meal. I returned it thinking it could be someone else's. They replated it as a child meal. I ordered soup and the vegetables were still raw. Not being rude but I couldn't have eaten that soup with a knife. He offered to boil it longer or order something else. I changed my order. Ultimately we got all our food at far different times. I understand things happen. Then we got the bill and they charged 2$ extra for my daughter. I asked the manager to correct it and he said it was correct and would be bring the menu. Over 12 is charged plus 2$. I say ok, how do you know hold old she is. He says hold is she. She is 12 and a half. He says that charge is correct. Rather than apologizing for having an off day in the kitchen he wanted to argue that my daughter is technically over 12. For that experience, I'm done. I've never had an experience like that. I left a decent tip because I feel sorry for the new waitress that served us. read more

My recommendation is to make the drive to the one on Hayden. You would think the two would be seemless experience. I give it a 2 because the food was good. The low rating is really due to poor service and expectations that the two restaurants were run the same way. The one in Hayden does not charge for Pico and gives a free ice cream for the table to share at the end. Post falls one doesn't even ask if we wanted desert. The one in Hayden gets 5 stars comparatively. read more

Delicious Mexican food, highly recommend the fajitas. However service was slow. The only time we saw our waiter was when he took our order and then he never came back. A girl who didn't even look like she worked here brought us our food and that was the last we saw of anyone until we finally went to the front counter to pay. The Hayden one is top notch compared the Post Falls one. It is worth the drive. We sat down to nice decor. Went to the restrooms to wash our hands and were disgusted. The restrooms were so bad we actually turned around and left. If the restrooms, which guests actually see, are so filthy and disgusting can only imagine how horrible the kitchen must be. Will never step in that place again. I wish I could give zero stars. I am beyond appalled at this restaurant. We took a medium sized party here for celebration dinner and throughout the course of our dinner ordered about 12 margaritas off the "Specials" menu advertised for $5. Imagine our surprise when we received our bill and were charged $9 per margarita! We assumed there must have just been some mistake and so politely asked our waitress, showing her the Drink Specials menu (Which included other drinks such as pina colada, mojitos, etc at the same price.) certain that it would be resolved quickly. She got the manager who came and told us very coldly that the drink special prices DID NOT INCLUDE THE ALCOHOL. The manager refused to honor the advertised price for us! Are you kidding me? Nowhere on the drink special menu (and trust me we checked) did it say "alcohol not included", which obviously would have been completely ridiculous to begin with. What kind of bait and switch are they trying to run? The food was below average, the service was mediocre. I would absolutely never return and will warn everyone I know to do the same. In this economy there is no reason whatsoever to patronize a business who lies to their customers and treats them like they are the crazy ones. Disgusting. read more
