I should have read the reviews before taking my business to this establishment. Interestingly, my mother always came to this tailor to get our pieces altered years ago. However, today I came in with my 11 month old to see if my baby's birthday dress could be altered. After asking if she could make the straps shorter and the bust smaller, the older women (I believe her name is Claudia) didn't answer my question and instead started yelling that she couldn't tell what needed to be done on the dress. She was also confused on whether the dress had a zipper or not. I preceded to explain to her that I could put the dress on my daughter to show her the areas that needed to be taken in, but I was already very uncomfortable and decided to leave. 2 Complaints: Alteration of women's dressy black top & matching pants. Charged twice for top alteration. I left tag w/# in my car. She said I didn't need it to pay & pickup the top. I paid $9 cash (they do not accept credit cards). No receipt was given. I also left the matching pants to be hemmed. When I picked up pants she said I didn't pay for the top and owed $9. She was yelling, out of control behavior. I had to pay her for the top again & pay for the pants. When I asked for a receipt she was furious, slamming things etc. The pants were ruined too. The matching dressy pants - hem top-stitched like jeans, instead of blind stitching. Hem uneven, puckered, skipped stitches. If remove stitching the holes are permanent. read more

Claudia's talented tailoring far outweighs her personality, but then it's her exemplary tailoring I'm after for the 'professional' jacket with the broken metal zipper. The long, heavy duty zipped had together ordered which took an extra week, but turned out beautifully. She's a very busy lady so maybe her aloof and chilly welcome to her shop is understood. Claudia the owner is awesome!!! She has been highly recommended by the Catwalk in Temecula. We dropped off our daughters wedding dress with her and explained that the alterations girl at the store we bought it from said it needed $1200 of alterations!!! Claudia assured us it only needed a few nips and tucks the cost was practically nothing! She also replaced the zipper on my dress to perfection. Not only did she do a perfect job but she also helped us with suggestions on our daughters wedding veil. As stressful as wedding planning can be she was a huge help in assisting with suggestions, better alternatives and ways to save on some very expensive accessories. We could not be happier with her service and helpfulness. Tailors can be ridiculous on charges. She is more than fair and does amazing work. Don't hesitate to use her services. Just left the location after I came to see if my pants could be taken in. I've been here prior and had no issue but today I must have caught the owner on a bad day. She told me there was no way of taking the pants in after glancing at them for less than ten seconds. These are uniform pants which can be altered and are made to be altered. I did not wish to argue and left. She seemed like she had more orders to fulfill and just did not want to deal with another order. Taking my business elsewhere. Wow! The owner lady has such an attitude. Saw that on Yelp, but thought maybe it was just a bad day thing. WRONG! We came here to hem some PJ bottoms since this place was $4 cheaper than places by our house. I asked when we could pick them up and she made some comment about opening at 9, so I can't come then, so come later. Sorry for asking, but usually places we go to tell us when to return to get the item. Very rude on the phone when I called to see what time they closed. Then we came in to pick the item up and my hubby asked to try them on. She said, "Really? You are going to try on pajamas?" Then she stormed off to the back. Then I asked to pay and she grunted "I don't take credit cards for $6." Again, I am sorry for thinking they would accept the card, as no signs were posted about a minimum charge and signs saying they accept them (hey I am even willing to pay 25 cents or something for the ability to pay there). Pretty much the rudest person I have ever encountered as a consumer. First of all, what business does not have basic debit card payments in 2016? Honestly. Second, if you have a sign that says " cash only WHEN card machine broken" , don't tell your customers " they should learn how to read " when they take their debit card out, and no notice or verbal info that the card machine ( that doesn't exist) is broken. So I've been here a few times because she does alterations on military uniforms and my husband needs his uniforms. Each time I've gone I always thought she was rude, this last time though over the top. She abruptly took the uniform top from my hands because I guess I was taking too long to hand it to her. She measured me and told me that there were a few things I could not get done because there was no way to do that (zipper/crotch was too long - needed to shorten). I asked when I could pick up and she said Tuesday. I then asked what time to make sure I do not come at a time when it would not be finished and she said ANYTIME! Today is now Tuesday, I go in to pick up at 9:15am (she opens at 9AM) and she tells me that she just got in and was GOING to work on them now. Then I reminded her that she said ANYTIME on Tuesday. So I asked her what time to pick up today and she says all day. She did not want to give me a specific time. I, unlike many of the other reviewers, appreciate Claudia's feisty attitude. When I needed some last minute alterations for my daughters bridesmaid dresses. I was very please to have a heavy accented feisty tailor on the other end of the line. Claudia is a NO-NONSENSE, GET THE JOB DONE type of person. If you're in need of someone to hold your hand and speak kindly to you, then she probably won't be a good tailor for you to use. However, if you want to have a seamstress that is going to do a quality job, in a timely manner, and at a very fair price; and that's all that matters to you, I would recommend Claudia. However if you're a softie that was raised coddled & protected from anything that may be deemed mildly offensive, then you may want to find someone else who will sugar coat their service for you (they'll probably charge you extra for that too). I thought came at a really bad time or I upset her somehow but before writing this review I'm Shocked to see how many other people are running in this type of service. Wife went to pick up suit today (Monday) and she was rude to my wife and told her Cash Only. I figured wow we must have missed a "Cash Only" sign on window or something which many stores will at least have as a courtesy - I ended up going myself to pick up suit and no sign on window not even inside yet there is a sign which says "Will gladly accept payment in advance". Not even worth explaining argumentative attitude while picking up suit simply put not going back. Why is this place still open. It's been open for 10+ years and this woman is still so rude. There is a difference of being foreign and "straight forward" versus simply rude and nasty. My family is Hungarian I understand that personality and old school lifestyle (the owner is Russian) this here is not the case. There is no excuse to when it comes to owning a business and simple patience. Finally had it when I simply asked her why she didn't open at 9:00am like the sign says she opens and when the "closed" sign says she'll be back and I asked if everything was ok. She told me yes I just had an appointment I was here a little bit after 9. I responded and said my husband and I waited till 9:30 and there were four other people waiting and she goes so what's the problem? I told her I was just asking nicely that's all she said "you have a problem so what I had an appointment" and threw her hand up as in waving me off. I said woah I wa simply just asking maybe a sign on the front door saying you won't be open till later due to emergency would have been good since others were waiting too. She said "so what you got a problem that I had an appointment". This is where my patience was done so I told her you don't have to be so rude I was just making sure everything was ok with you no need for you to be rude. She then SCREAMED at me you know what get out. WHAT?! I'm just annoyed as an owner you can't keep your temper under control. When this is not the only issue she's had with customers. I seriously don't understand how this lady is still in business. I,like many others, was a loyal customer but that completely went out the window this morning. Showed up to pick up some uniform pants for my husband. She was outside talking to a friend so I went inside to wait. Not once did I rush her or was I rude. When she came inside though, she seemed irritated. Rudely, she asked what I wanted and then continued to throw a fit as she couldn't (or she didn't want to) find what I was there for. I told I would just send my husband later. As I'm walking away she says "you'll have to pick up eventually idiot". Of course When my husband went it, she played victim and gave him a different story.
