Normally, I'm not a Detroit-style pizza girlie. I'm much more of a wood-fired Neapolitan pizza person. However, I absolutely love Ranch Pizza. Things really got dangerous when I discovered they had a location just a mile from my house. I frequently stop in for a quarter pepperoni pie, and I appreciate how flexible they are with modifications because I'm definitely a light-sauce pizza girl. In my opinion, their breadsticks are some of the best around. I genuinely can't come here without ordering them. And then there's the homemade ranch. It's exceptional. In fact, it might just be the best ranch in Portland. For me, Ranch Pizza is a 10/10. read more

Ah ranch the boxy pizza of 90's video games. I was very skeptical eating here as I'm more of a wood fired Neapolitan type of gal, but the deep dish pizza here is good! I really liked how soft and airy the dough is but crispy due to the pointy edges. It's the perfect game night or lazy week day type of pizza. I would definitely buy these pizzas if I have to feed a bunch of kids or at adult functions. It retains its crunchy crust for a while. 5/5 would return read more

Ranch - Ricotta, fennel sausage and sun dried tomatoes. And a hefty side of ranch. - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

It's a big barn of a place with picnic table style seating, and an outside patio with more of the same. Order at the counter and they give you a pager to come pick it up when ready. There's no soda fountain, order a soft drink and they hand you a 12 oz. can. Pizza is square, 1/4 pie is enough to satisfy most people. Crust is thick, the ingredients are good quality and the results are very tasty. I ordered a #4, and it was good, but not piping hot out of the oven, more like it sat a while. Over all very tasty, will repeat. Oh, and yes, the homemade ranch is very tasty. read more

I can't speak to the service as we got the food online. However, the pizzas themselves were awesome. The Bawk-B-Que was decent but the Honey I Shrunk the Pickle was extremely good. I'd highly recommend it. All of the flavors paired very nicely and their ranch was top tier. The option to buy quarters, halves and whole pizzas was also pretty nice. read more

It's just phenomenal pizza. The care they put into the toppings is next level. It's not just canned pineapple, it's hand cut and drained - non-soggy pineapple. It's not just ranch, it's homemade and garlicky-ive yet to find better. They next-level every ingredient they add to your pizza. They don't skimp. Not on quality or quantity. If you like Detroit Style pizza, I'm not sure you'll find better on the West Coast. read more

Tasty pizzas! I've enjoyed them every time I've tried them. And the staff have always been great (even when faced with a long line of customers). Having grown up in Detroit, I wouldn't call this actual Detroit style pizza. But that doesn't take away from it being tasty. read more

A quarter pizza from ranch with ranch always hits the spots. It's quite rich as far as pizza goes. The ranch is crazyyyy good clearly made in house (would be weird if it weren't haha) Love this place. Cure and clean. read more

So good! The full pie is huge. Had roasted garlic, sausage & mushroom and their ranch, of course. It was perfectly cooked, crispy crust, so much garlic. Good vibe and nice guy at the counter. Definitely be back!! read more

Wow, this bad boy was serious. When they handed me this box I thought they handed me a box full of encyclopedias. To my surprise there was a pizza in there. Also to my surprise, the pizza was fantastic. It's a heavy and filling pizza. Hunker down and be ready to stuff yourself. This had everything I wanted. It's a Detroit style situation but more dense. It's the real deal. That's all I'll say. I don't need to get into much more detail (4.7 Stars) read more

Detroit style pizza with at least two locations, but a little bit on the higher end of pricing. I ordered online and it said it would be ready quicker than I expected, nice! You can choose quarter, half, or full pies. I got a half and half pie. "Hawaiian" split with "#4" Of course I added two ranch! I said to myself 'it better be good with this name'! It was delicious! They even hooked it up ;) much appreciated!! The pizza is phenomenal! Thick, crispy, buttery crust with quality ingredients smothering the top! Not all may love it, but the pineapple is super fresh! Watch out for the jalapeños, you are going to need that ranch! I even got a message once ready for pickup. read more

Hands down, the best pizza I've eaten in Portland. I almost dropped the box because of how crazy heavy the pizza was, and yet, somehow, the Sicilian-style pizza is crazy light. You can eat a ton without feeling stuffed. The sauce is rich and flavorful and it has the perfect combination of cheese. I am normally not a fan of crust, but this pizza takes all of the toppings to the edge, and, with the way it's cooked, the crust crispy, but still airy. Ironically, with this pizza, it's my favorite part! Erg, maybe it's my favorite part of the pizza specifically, because the real winner is their ranch dressing. It's insanely flavorful, and seasoned just right. It's so good, they even sell it by itself! I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

Ranch - Quarter Cheese - DEKUM x4 with extra ranch :) - Pizza Near Me - Portland, Oregon

If you don't like ranch on your pizza, Ranch will change your mind. Probably one of the best Sicilian/Detroit-style pizzas I've had in Portland. I ordered the #4 and the combo of sausage, ricotta, peppers, and basil was packed with flavor with a nice little kick of heat. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the crust was crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. read more

Fun little neighborhood find, especially for someone who does not live in the neighborhood. I was working in Portland and figured I would spend the afternoon between finishing work and waiting for my flight having a bite out towards the airport. Looking through Yelp!, this was in the right area and the food looked good. The pizza is tasty. I could have probably gone with a slice and a half, (a 3/8s), but I had to settle for a 1/4, which was fine. It is a nice square thick crust pie, with ample toppings (I got the veggie). If I were a local, I would probably eat here reasonably often. read more

Came in late the other day and they were ok with taking our order. The pizza was airy and light even though it was thick. Crunchy edges and the right amount cheese and sauce. But the Ranch sauce it came with, was to die for!!! Never ate ranch with a pizza before because I enjoy eating pizzas without it, but this one is different. read more

So glad I finally tried Ranch. It is rave worthy! Beware of the Calabrian peppers, maybe ask for less. The crust is perfectly crisp. Service was prompt. Thankfully went on off time and day (Wednesday evening). No one was in there, which was perfect for getting our order quickly. read more

Some people like to dip their pizza in ranch. Some people love to dip their pizza in ranch. Some people LOVE to dip their pizza in ranch. I never thought about doing so until a friend recommended this place. Then I tasted the ranch. And the pizza. And I wanted to consume my weight's worth of each!! Get here now. Order the pepperoni. Order the one with the ricotta cheese. Get the ranch. Drink the ranch. You won't regret any of it. Also, super nice staff. Very chill vibe. read more

The pizza was good, but the irony of a place named 'Ranch' being so light on the ranch was shocking. You only get two small containers with a whole pie, and if you want more, you'd better have exact change because the staff was very blunt about not being able to provide any back. Between the 30-minute wait in an empty shop and the rude customer service, the good food wasn't enough to carry the experience past a 2.5 star rating read more

5/5 would recommend. This place exceeded my expectations. Delicious Detroit style pizza, hefty portions, and perfect for sharing! Great price ($9.50 - price will vary depending on pizza type). Although I felt like their flavor options were very limited. I ended up ordering the 2 quarter size Number Four (sausage, ricotta, chilies). The pizza was a soft focaccia like bread. Lots of toppings. Super cheesy and paired with the free house made ranch was absolutely delicious. I even had leftovers! Service was speedy quick! Staff were helpful and nice. Ambiance was inviting. I would def come back! read more

After a day of adventure, we came back to the city with an appetite. Ranch PDX is a small joint with 4-5 small tables inside, along with wall bar-style seating + additional outdoor tables. You order up front, then are given a # and seat yourself. You also grab your own utensils in the back then buss your table after by placing your dishes in labeled containers + tossing scraps + boxing your leftovers. Party of 2 opted for classic pep 12" to share. We had an appetite, but still had two pieces to spare. A 12" could probably be shared between 3 people and be sufficient. Lotsss of pep + two free sides of small ranch! Complimentary water in the back to help yourself with. All in all, good eats. read more

Can't count how many times I've eaten ranch pizza. My favorites are the classic pepperoni and the Hawaiian so delicious.

The folks over at Ranch really need to get their shit together. I ordered ahead, and got there a little early. When I checked in the server said it'd be about 8 minutes. I bought a soda and sat down to wait. While sitting there the two people working were arguing the whole time. About 8 minutes after I arrived one of them brought out a pizza and set it on the counter, just a few feet away from me, but didn't say anything to me. I figured it was someone else's, but after waiting another 15 minutes I finally asked if my order was done yet. The mystery pizza was actually mine and no one had bothered to tell me, or call out my name or even click the "order ready" button on the square site. Luckily it wasn't cold yet, but it would've been by the time I got home so I had to eat it there. Communication is key, and these folks definitely don't have it. read more

My daughter requested we go to the place with "the square pizza". She's very vocal for a 6 year old and knows what she likes. I'm going to say that Ranch PDX is quickly becoming a pizza staple in our family despite the drive from Vancouver. We order ahead online and the timing is pretty much spot on. Upon arrival the service is great. We were attended to quickly and the food was out just in time. It was quiet around the early dinner hour and we were able to have a nice sit down with a couple slices of our favorites. I love their Hawaiian bc they spice it up with some jalapeños. My daughter of course loves their pepperoni. It's hard to beat this place. Their ranch is also amazing. Definitely recommend you all give this spot a try! read more

Horribly bought a whole pizza and it was all burnt I ate part of it and through out the rest of the pizza it was nasty super salty and burnt for whatever reason there was already Parmesan cheese & peppers on it looks like it was a return they heated it up burning it then served it. We had a late lunch here on a weekday. Our order included three quarters (plain, with bacon, and the number four). The toppings were generous and I was impressed that the bacon was thick cut, REAL bacon, not the bacon bits I've come to expect. The pizza was all perfectly done and the ranch they served it with tasted housemade and delicious. The sauce had great flavor and the crust was the perfect consistency. I also appreciate the patience and kindness of the staff. We had a rambunctious toddler with us and they were great! read more

Very cute little pizza restaurant, with simple decorations and simple pizzas. We ordered a whole pie with pepperoni, pineapple, and mushrooms. The pizza had a nice crispy crust, and the pineapple was fresh, not canned. The pizza is very bready, with light cheese. The bread to cheese ratio seemed a bit off, but otherwise the flavors were delicious and there was an abundance of toppings, and pizzas come with a side of ranch dressing. Staff was very friendly. Pro Tip: If you like a cheesier pizza, make sure to request extra cheese because the normal amount is pretty light. read more

I'm a big fan of Ex Novo's Detroit style pizza so I've been eager to try Ranch too! It definitely lived up to the hype. The location inside Baerlic Brewing is nice! It's a large space with plenty of tables and not TOO loud. Family friendly as proven by the many children running around on the Saturday night I visited The pizza is really good! You get a pretty big pizza for a good price. I thought they'd be smaller like Ex Novo serves, so my group of 4 ordered 2 pizzas but we could have had one and it would be plenty. It's so crispy and flavorful. I had pepperoni and tried a seasonal one with potato and garlic cream sauce. Very tasty ranch too (obviously). read more
