Ranch House has something for everyone. We were a party of 5 including a toddler, with very diverse food tastes and everyone was satisfied with their meal. We had everything from a pepperoni pizza to a healthy beet salad to salmon on a bed of veggies with a delicious clean sauce. There's also a good kids menu and the grilled cheese was a big hit. The atmosphere is very rustic and cozy. It was Valentine's Day and the tables were all decorated with red roses. Service was a little slow, and several times we were brought someone else's food. But it could have due to it being such a busy night. Overall, it is a solid choice for either a casual meal or a special occasion. Not many places bridge that gap so well. read more

It's a bit of a drive, but the Ranch house has a fabulous breakfast. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was slightly spicy and good flavor, no condiments on it though. The hash browns with poached egg, pickled onions and chili and added avocado was delicious. Lots of jalapeños, chili bursting with flavor, crispy hash brown triangles, soft poached egg and a bounty of sliced avocado. Huge portion. This was a really great meal. Service was excellent for a table of 14. We were seated outside with heaters on to take the morning chill off. All around a wonderful time. read more

First time at this restaurant and absolutely recommend eating here when you're staying. Well, I mean... where else you gonna go? Everything is at least 25 min from this ranch, so take it all in. They also have a second restaurant across the street. The service is great and very friendly and chatty, which is good. Eating was heavenly as I ordered the steelhead and wife order the spaghetti and meatballs. Our starter was a type of artichoke dip and pickled veggies with fried saltines, very delicious. Finished it off with a sundae. Don't forget to order wine! Great views as well in the evening. read more

The ambience is resort lodge vibe with guests from nearby town or guests at Brassada Ranch. The menu selection is limited and the food was standard, nothing stood out. Passable breakfast. Usually I'd deduct star points for the price points, but this is a resort, so value isn't really a consideration. What was lacking is flavor. The portion and texture of the chicken fried steak and homemade biscuits was fine, but it was very bland. Moreover, the dish was very light on gravy. However, the potatoes were excellent (due to their crisp), much better than average home fries. This flavor void was also evident at the Range Restaurant, so it seems like they're very conservative with spice and overall flavor. If so, it makes sense given the demographic: older caucasian retirees and younger couples with with kids. So the resort restaurants are named the Ranch House and the Range Restaurant (higher-end dinner only.) Why they named them so is a marketing blunder IMO. After three days everyone in our party had difficulty remembering which was which. Service was pleasant and efficient. The view was beautiful as our table overlooked a bridge and a plain with animals grazing. read more

For our visit this was a 5 star experience. We'd visited previously and had a really bad meal but it all seemed like it was a staffing train wreck going on and I could not fault the brand of the restaurant itself, it was a hot mess with a bunch of grumpy staff. So, on our last visit everything was well done, we did a late breakfast on a busy weekend and sat outside. From the greeting with the cowboy tone to our waiter pushing the cowboy theme I could tell something was different. We ordered what came to us as a massive Bloody Mary resembling an eatable Janga puzzle more than a drink. The meals arrived quickly and were plated nicely, well done! We ordered a traditional eggs meal and a salmon benedict. Foods was great, service was great, and the location is one of the nicest you'll find anywhere. If you're a local you need to come visit and see what this community has turned into. We love it as it truly feels like a resort escape for us at the pool area. This is a very fancy and posh ranch. There are horses that graze in view of the resteraunt below a range of mountains including the sisters. The view is breathtaking. You can romeo around and check out their cabins, athletic club and general store. Everything is a little over priced here including the resteraunt. Nice dinner at the Ranch House with my Mom. The dining room is nicely decorated with large tables, bench seating and a bar. When it's warm, it's clear sitting outside on the deck would be fun and an amazing view. Very family friendly, which is very nice, but the acoustics could be improved. We did not have a lot of people with us and it was loud. The food was good, we shared the BLT salad and the mushroom pizza. Both were good. The salad lettuce came chopped (nice), but could have been fresher and a few of the tomatoes were mushy - lots of bacon and the ranch dressing was awesome! The pizza has a terrific thin crust, lots of flavor, mushrooms and arugula - there could have been more flavor...garlic maybe?? I will definitely go back, service was awesome and it's a very welcoming place. read more

Enjoyed the Easter brunch immensely! At $95 per person, it's on the higher end as holiday brunch goes, but the food was all fantastic. The only bummer was they actually charged for beverages. If you wanted water, it's included. I've never seen a brunch in this price range that didn't include coffee and juice!! It seemed a bit like a "nickel and dime" situation to be charged $5 for a cup of coffee and $6 for a glass of juice. However, still highly recommend. The views are astounding. read more

The Ranch House at Brasada Ranch is a super classy and delicious experience from start to finish and an absolute must-visit restaurant if you're ever traveling through or staying near Bend. Reservations recommended but probably not completely necessary. The restaurant is located at Brasada Ranch, which of course is a vast ranch about 20-25 minutes outside downtown Bend. The property has one main road, plenty of parking, and easy-to-find buildings. Upon arriving, we noticed that the restaurant was largely empty, which was surprising, but we were nevertheless greeted warmly and shown to a table on the balcony with a gorgeous west-facing view of the Cascade mountains, and namely the Three Sisters, Mount Washington, Mount Bachelor, and others. As the sun set, the view got even better, and you'll definitely be giving your camera a workout. This restaurant is dog-friendly, and it was pretty great to have our dog with us at the table. One side note: when we were there, there was a wedding reception going on in a nearby building, and the band they hired was very loud -- sitting at our table we could hear the band clearly, but it wasn't overwhelmingly loud (we didn't have to yell over it). Lucky for us, they were an excellent band, but I'd worry to think what the experience might be like with an equally loud band that wasn't so great. Our server was professional, attentive, and friendly, with really good wine and food recommendations. I was there with a group, so I won't go over all the food, but it was generally delicious. I'd especially recommend the grilled shrimp appetizer, the salmon pasta, and the fried chicken. Also, the S'mores dessert is mandatory. It features homemade marshmallows and homemade graham crackers, with semi-sweet chocolate bars. Take it all over to the fire pit and roast your marshmallows, assemble, and enjoy your messy campfire dessert as you watch the beautiful sunset. Ranch House puts on a memorable and wonderful evening that you'll be glad you drove all the way out here for. Would strongly recommend on your next visit to the Bend area. read more

The gorgeous view adds a star to my review. Agree with other reviewers who found the food grossly under seasoned. I added a significant amount of salt and pepper to my appetizer and entree. The food was not on par with the quality of the Resort, and way too expensive for what they offered. The kid's menu is for kids 12 and under, but the portions were more appropriate for 4-5yos. My daughter received the wrong food and it took a lot of work to flag down a server to get it fixed. When it was returned it had absolutely no seasoning. The service was really inattentive. No water refills, very difficult to flag down help, and the restaurant was half full. A busser asked if we would like our empty plates cleared (?), took half the plates, and never returned for the others. It was an irritating experience as a customer. If you are staying as a guest at Brasada, I recommend cooking in your cabin as much as possible. I am annoyed I spent $85 on a bland meal there, and my kids are still hungry. read more

My husband and I made reservations at the Ranch House to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. I had been there twice before for breakfast/brunch but my husband had never been. I can't lie...the patio seating is why I loved it so much previously. We had 6:15 reservations. We got seated right away but indoors and it was so incredibly loud that I could not even hear my husband talking. We had already ordered a drink or quite honestly I think we would have left. We had our drink and when the waitress came over she asked if we were ready to order we stated that we decided to leave as the noise was unbearable to us - there were quite a few young children in there which didn't help the noise level. We were looking for something more on the quiet side. Soon after she walked away to get our tab for our drinks, the manager came over and asked if he sat us outside if we would stay. We tried asking for outdoors previously but there was no availability. The manager obviously has more pull than us and got us a table outdoors. There were still children out there but no walls to echo off of and it was fabulous. The manager even comped us a round of drinks which was not necessary but a great gesture for sure. He was all about making the customer happy and it made my heart happy that great customer service DOES still exist. Thank you to CHIP for making our dinner plans turn out as we had hoped. Also, shout out to our waitress, Jessica, she was swamped with large tables and was so very sweet and we appreciated her hospitality as well. The drinks and desert were delicious. The food was not bad but not great either. As others mentioned, not a ton of flavor. All in all, it turned out to be a nice evening thanks to Chip and Jessica. read more

The last time we visited Brasada ranch was about 5 years ago. The Ranch House restaurant had a different name at that time. So when we came to stay at the ranch for the 4th of July weekend this year we decided to check out the Ranch House for our dinner on the first day. Everything from the service to the food and drinks were simply outstanding. Rebekah was our server and she had the best attitude and personality. We initially ordered a bottle of wine that they had run out of, and she came back with an even better pick that was the perfect pairing for the food we ordered. How can one offer $5 popcorn that comes out in a cold skillet that has NO HINT OF LIME, as stated on the menu. I think Jiffy Pop might be a bit better.. Left a lot to be desired. Menu selection was ok but never came back to check if I wanted another drink. Service ok. The fried chicken I order tasted good. But for the price of $25 I expected a lot more actual chicken. I had two very small pieces that combined wouldn't make up an actual chicken breast. The roasted potatoes and carrots were both good and they did give good portions of that. My wife got the special which was a seafood pasta dish. This was very tasty. The cream sauce was a little on the thin side but did taste great. The portions of the seafood was robust (especially when compared to my chicken) and was very fresh. We then had the brownie for desert and I felt this was just a disappointment. For such an easy dish to do well. This was dry and hard. It would have helped if the brownie was served warm I believe but it wasn't. The ice cream serve with it was nice. Overall the restaurant was ok, with the facilities being so nice I really felt the restaurant did not deliver as much as the hotel does. read more

One of my very favorite places to eat when visiting family in Powell Butte (near Bend, OR). Healthy fresh food for which I never have a complaint. Positive service oriented staff. I have visited the Ranch House 5-6 times over the course of the last couple of years and it is never a disappointment. I take butter in my coffee which the server remembered from my visit 2-3 months previous. Amazing! Love the interior ambiance and the exterior views overlooking the landscapes of Crook County. I am very disappointed. About 30% of the restaurant was occupied (needless to say, they weren't busy). Ten minutes of waiting turned to 20+....We gave up waiting and ended up flagging someone down. We had friends from out of town that wanted to see what Brasada ranch was all about. First the main restaurant isn't open until the end of May so we went to the ranch house. It looks like the menu has changed from what I remember. The only nice thing was the view! The drinks were not good and the limited menu and food quality for what you pay was worse. A perfect compliment to our stay at Brasada Ranch for our recent "honeymoon getaway." The friendly hostess sat us immediately upon arrival at a table out on the balcony where we were able to watch a beautiful summer sunset while dining on incredible food. My husband (it's still weird to say that!) said it was my best prime rib dip sandwich he's ever had - which is saying a lot because that is one of his staples when we eat out. I opted for the halibut special and it was VERY tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and entire stay. read more

OMG! The food is AMAZING!!! My sister and I had time to kill while the other girls in our group were at the spa, so we figured we'd get some grub. We started with breakfast, had some drinks by the fireplace and then had lunch. We then came back with the rest of our group (5 crazy ladies) and had dinner. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL!!! They know how to take a simple dish like a breakfast croissant and home fries and make it into art! They make their own ketchup and bbq sauce for the bacon burger and the fried chicken and bacon balsamic Brussels sprouts were TO DIE FOR!!! Every single one of us in our group was EXTREMELY impressed with our food and the servers were very attentive and helpful! I would eat here even if I wasn't staying at the resort!!! read more

The service is mostly great depending on who you get-attentive and remember your preferences. Standard kids menu and kid-friendly - can roast s'mores in the evenings outside. With all the beauty of Central Oregon and all the fresh healthy food available I'm always shocked how unhealthy the offerings are here. Less meat, less fried food, please add more whole grains and veggies to the menu so diners have choices. Went for happy hour and loved it!!! After a day at the pool on the very first hottest day of the year it was exactly what we needed. Had the pie of the day which was WAY bigger than expected and delicious! Tried the (vegan) soup of the day, carrot fennel, which was awesome... plus my salad dressing had lavender in it!!! Yum! Gorgeous presentation, wonderfully crafted dishes...I've eaten at many high end places and this place takes the cake. I expected less since there are no other options in Brasada there but was more than pleasantly surprised....plus our service was first class. Haters gotta hate!!!! Excellent food and service but there appears to be a policy of allowing owners/guests with children to be loud, and run around. Three couples came into the restaurant shortly after we did. They had seven children between them. The adults sat at one table and the kids sat at two other tables, unfortunately for us we had kid tables on either side of us. The parents ignored the children who yelled, got up and ran through the restaurant onto the deck and back. Staff/management acknowledged the problem but instead of asking the parents to control the kids they moved us out of the restaurant and into the "library". The kids eventually ran through the the library also. I am not an intolerant person and don't expect children to be seen and not heard but these kids showed no respect for those around them and the parents ignored their behavior. I do expect that when I am paying 100+ for a dinner for two that I should be able to to have my meal without feeling as if I am at a McDonalds sitting next to the play area. In trying to keep the group with the obnoxious kids happy the Ranch House probably loses sales. Who would linger for an after dinner drink or dessert in a small venue with kids who have no supervision and have not been taught manners? Most people would have second thoughts about a return visit knowing that they may have an expensive dinner ruined by kids whose parents are too lazy to teach them how to behave in public. In general I try to be positive and give credit where credit is due. This is only the second negative review that I have given since I started yelping about five or six years ago. I just couldn't let this pass without comment. The staff and chef deserve five stars but the policy to let the children of owners ruin the atmosphere for the rest of the diners is just bad business. read more

Have visited here twice in the last couple of months. First was Valentine's Day and went with another couple. The ambiance is great but that is where the fun ends. Food is extremely pedestrian and highly overpriced. On second visit we were the only people people there on a Tuesday evening; the spent about four hours with a few glasses of wine, a sandwhich and a salad. About fell over when we got the $70 bill. I attended a bachelorette party on July 13, 2017 which included spa treatments (which I reviewed separately) for my future daughter-in-law and then dinner afterward for 13 guests at the Ranch Restaurant and upon arriving there was a table set up for us out on the patio. However, it was very hot and with the sun setting was way too uncomfortable with it shining either in eyes or on the shoulders of the guests sitting with backs to it. Also, one guest was 5 months pregnant and she was extremely uncomfortable. One of the ladies initially asked a waitress if we could move inside and we were told we could but not all be at the same table. After trying to sit outside for a few minutes we decided it wasn't going to work, so myself and the brides mother, asked to speak with a manager to see about relocating to an empty room inside the restaurant (I believe it is called the library room), the manager said yes but it would be an additional $150. We explained the situation and asked about another location outside on the lawn and again she responded "no because that would take additional staff". We did advise that we have just spent well over $1000 in the spa and any help would be appreciated but she would not budge (Tara was the managers name). She finally crammed all of us around a high top in the main eating area, which was at least out of the sun and heat, but was meant to seat 8-10. As I had arranged transportation to/from Bend for the group, all of this happening during our supposedly fun dining time with the bride-to-be was very rushed. I sincerely think the restaurant manager needs serious customer service training!! Another incident with her was at the bar when The brides mother and I ordered 2 bottles of wine (one of which they didn't have) separate from the group as we didn't want them on the bill for all to pay, she snidely stated that "you know we can do that for you at the table". Additionally, The brides mom asked for a "jug of water" for the table (I did translate that to the bar staff as a "pitcher of water", but they weren't able to provide that either). I have to say that as we had over 100 guests invited to this wedding and all but 3 of us live here, the American hospitality shown by your restaurant manager was sad indeed. On the other hand, our waitress was phenomenal and I am so sorry that I did not get her name but I am hoping you can look back on your records and commend her! The dinner food itself was very good but the dessert beignets were undercooked and we didn't have time to send them back. read more

Also, it was served buffet style and they were frequently running out of items and people were standing around waiting. The live music was nice and the view is great!
