Second time in Prineville, doing Western Days! We stopped here again, our 2nd time, during our first night. It was busy at dinner time, but we were seated quickly. We shared BBQ Ribs, salad, Chicken Dumpling Soup, and a complimentary Peanut Butter Pie. (Thank you!) The ribs were oh so tender! I can't remember when was the last time that happened! The dumplings, hubby can have it all, I'm not into it. I love the broth and the chicken part. The salad & the ribs were divided evenly, I think I have one extra rib. LOL I'm glad we stopped here! Still worth the drive from Bend, especially for the awesome Happy Hour specials. Service is always great, food is awesome (HOG WILD FRIES!!!!) beer list is usually pretty good and whether the place is packed or not so busy it's always a great place to enjoy some really good food. read more

We've been to Dillon's 3 X on our trips to this area and we're getting ready to come back at the end of October. This time, we're bringing friends! We've had a 5 star experience each time. The menu has plenty of items to choose from, everything we've ordered has been in generous portions and delicious! Our servers have been knowledgeable & friendly & the restaurant is clean & tidy from the restrooms to the front door. If you haven't tried it out yet, don't put it off any longer! Excellent service! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The surf and turf meal I ordered was very challenging. The steak was cooked correctly, but was very dry, the onion rings and prawns were stone cold. They redid the prawns and they were great, the onion rings were just not good even when redone. My wife enjoyed her Cobb salad. For the price, we will go somewhere else next time. read more

Mel was our waitress and she was great. Got all our order correct and made sure our food was good. Made sure we knew about happy hour and explained well what was available. Kinda disappointed because my entire family got food poisoning last night 4/28 after eating our food that came from dillions. Being 12 weeks pregnant and getting food poisoning was very worrying for us. Been here several times and the last two time it's been off. Had ribs again last night and they were just so so. The Mac and cheese and bake beans were barely warm. The cheese sprinkled on top of the Mac didn't even melt. Another party asked to make sure their bake potato was hot. Comment was made it was cold last time and the butter didn't melt. Might have to rethink about going back. After eating our plates sat at the table and asked for them to be removed. We were just visiting with friends and just wanted table cleared. read more

I went to Dillon's yesterday and I was amazed by how friendly and welcoming the staff are and by the quality of the food,. I ordered the hog fries and the pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. My friend ordered the ribs and wings with a side of chili. We got a Twinkie strawberry shortcake for dessert. 10/10 They were really good and well portioned. I would definitely go again!! read more

Cool interior and busy right at opening. Service was wonderful. Food..meh. Wasn't bad, wasn't good. Smothered pulled pork garlic fries were really good but full cloves of garlic were in it. I love some garlic; this will leave you unable to have a close conversation with anyone who hasn't also had the same meal as you. For at least 24 hours. Maybe longer. Plan accordingly. Our dinner was delicious! The portion sizes were large, yet reasonably priced. The bbq ribs and wing's platter was enough to feed two people. My husband had lots of leftovers to take home. The steak salad was fresh with plenty of vegetables and dressing. The waitstaff was able to quickly seat us and our server was prompt and efficient. Had great, meaty ribs cooked perfectly. Baked beans are excellent! Maybe best I've ever had - complex flavors, just yummy! Clam chowder was also very good. Wife's burger was great. It was obvious the chefs care and know what they're doing. Great food! One small criticism, the barbecue sauce was a little too sweet for me. After all day hiking and passed 8pm, this place saved us. I wasn't sure how much I could eat but ended up finishing all. We split BBQ Ribs and Wings combo served with cooks low, Hawaiian roll and steamed broccoli. Honey garlic wing hit my spot and ribs were juicy. They even split in two for us. Ordered takeout on a Saturday night around 7pm. Ribs & wings with coleslaw and fries. I will say the staff was nice and helpful on the phone and in-person at pickup. The portions were big and it was ready when they said it would be. Unfortunately the quality of the ribs & wings was poor. Ribs were dry with little flavor. No smoke or char, no dry rub/seasoning. Just a little BBQ sauce on top. The wings were mediocre at best. Had a light breading that was soggy. It was all the same mushy texture. The fries were by far the best part of the meal. Hot, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Coleslaw was ok, but nothing special. Maybe some other dishes are better, but I won't bother. To serve ribs like that is appalling and unforgivable. You got my money once. Never again. read more

Wow! This is a gem in Prineville. Nice, welcoming atmosphere, very friendly staff, good food, huge servings and awesome service. Stopped by after a long day of fishing and swimming at the reservoir. We were supposed to go somewhere else. Thankfully, they were closed for Labor Day otherwise we would have missed out on Dillon's. The husband had a couple IPA's and I tried their clementine cider. Both were served in chilled glass, refreshing & delicious. Ordered a chicken salad, Dillon's burger with a side of fries and a brisket dip with a side of soup. Everything was delicious and service from Sasha was exceptional. Aside from all that goodness, they also offer military discount which we appreciated. We will be back! read more

Dillons is the place to go for lunch in this town. A fresh, well stocked salad bar. with two homemade soups. Cmon. What a fab deal! Two prices, one for one trip though and another price for all you can eat. This place is clean, run by the same folks who own/manage Club Pioneer (very nice) and we always enjoy ourselves here. The Chili was great!! My husband literally ordered a bowl to go after eating it for lunch, said it tasted the closest to his secret chili recipe he has ever had. Our appetizer (garlic fries) were delicious but came out after we were almost done with our entree's which was unusual and led us to believe that the waitress may have forgotten to put the order in but she was very friendly as were all the staff. And the Strawberry Banana cocktail on their menu was so amazingly delicious I still think about them, tasted like the strawberry shakes at Orange Julius. read more

My cobb salad was pretty good but service was bad. A few different servers walked past my table many times looked right at my credit card wouldn't pick it up because I wasn't their table. Also, I am between campgrounds no phone reception and came here specifically because yelp sez they have Wi-Fi, and of course they did not have Wi-Fi. read more

Had a decent mushroom swiss burger here on a quiet Sunday evening. The patio area outside the main restaurant was nice and quiet with ample shade, and the burger wasn't too shabby either. The coleslaw and onion rings were good as well. Overall, given the smaller size of Prineville, not a bad place to stop and refuel. read more

We stopped to have lunch today and before we got in the door the smell of BBQ made us go in. We had the full rack of ribs with onion rings and fry's. Split it 3 ways and was the best I've ever had.
