When camping or out on the lake, and you don't feel like cooking and just want to sit down for a good burger, this is a very good place to come. The place itself has a lot of character inside. The staff that was working when we went in the last time we're all super super nice. The burger and fries were not a disappointment. Very cute little cafe and ice cream & coffee shop; you place your order at the counter and pickup a number to take to your table. When we went it was a Monday afternoon. There was a woman in the back cooking and a woman in the front handing the dining room along with the order window, milkshakes, smoothies, coffees as well as the drive up window; needless to say if they were busy it could be quite a wait while standing at the counter to place your order. I was standing there for about 5 minutes watching the young woman running around filling the front orders for the drive up window before I got acknowledged. I ordered a Reuben sandwich w/fries and my wife ordered the jumbo fried shrimp basket. The Reuben was done very well with a nice portion of thin sliced corned beef, a thin layer of sauerkraut and a slice of Swiss cheese on Rye bread with a slathered of what appeared to be thousand island dressing on one side of the bread which was then toasted to perfection on a grill with a lid to heat all the ingredients; was very well prepared. The jumbo shrimp did not appear to be jumbo, but that may be what it says on the box they were out of. Both orders came with what they called fresh cut fries. I'm not sure they were actually freshly cut fries; they seemed more like what were prepared from frozen fries that had a bit of skin on them. read more

Love Beetle Baileys! Best burgers around and the restaurant is clean and staff are nice with fast service. You can call ahead and pick up your food at their drive through as well. I haven't even been to a fast food burger place in over a year since discovering Beetle Baileys. The Jalapeno burger and a side of onion rings is my favorite. The food here is definitely a notch above normal road trip, small town food. If you're coming through the area and looking for a place to stop, it's worth the visit. A couple of things could be improved: the food delivery was mighty slow for burgers. We had hoped to grab a quick bite and get on our way, but we ended up waiting over 30 minutes to eat. Also, there were a prolific number of flies in the restaurant. I know it's not easy to keep the flies out, but it was a bit off-putting to keep waving them away while waiting for, and then while enjoying our meal. read more

Well to start we walked in on the advice from a local merchant that he would pick another place to eat. So being close we thought we would try it anyways. Walking in the menu was pretty extensive for the size of the place. Menu was well displayed out but was vague. I love French Dips so if I see it on the menu it's a go to sandwich for me, but I always ask what kind of beef fresh cut or not. I asked the counter hostess and she said " oh yes it's sliced off of a roast" and asked if it came with french fries since it didn't state it and the sandwich was $8.99 she replied yes, for $8.99 i would hope so. My wife ordered the Garden Burger also the same price and substituted with onion rings for $.50 more. The meal was served out and this is where everything went down hill. To start we'll go with the Garden burger, not much you can do with a garden burger except for the patty. When paying $8.99 there are really good quality garden burger patty on the market and there are cheap, this was cheap and tasteless. The onion rings were really dark either from old oil or left in too long my wife took a bite of both and that was that "DONE". Now my Sandwich, yes it was, like the hostess mentioned, beef sliced from a roast but not there. You can tell it was sliced and packaged from a wholesaler cause you cannot slice with a regular slicer that thin and uniform. Every piece was so thin you could see through them and there wasn't much. I'll give the size of my sandwich the roll was 5" long and 2" wide with the meat it was about 1 1/2' thick with the meat and roll. Even at it's best day that sandwich was the size of 1/2 of one not a whole one for $8.99. Did I mention the french fries? Well the french Dip comes out without the fries being served the hostess/waitress was way too busy to come over to our table so I walked over to the gal cooking and mentioned that I didn't receive my fries since she was also the one who brought out or lunch. She tells me that it doesn't come with fries. I mentioned that the waitress said it does. By the time the fries came out my sandwich was done,oh did I mention the the Au Jus was so salty it was made from beef bouillon cubes, of course the sandwich wasn't that big anyways. So here it is my wife took 1 bite left the onion rings I finished my sandwich leaving hungry and spent between the two sandwiches close to $20.00. Was deceived on the origin of the roast beef had to ask for the rest of my lunch. Save your money and you will be no less hungry. read more
