This is a cool little spot in downtown Hartford, near the Old State House. The guy who waited on me was sweet. They also have booze!! I recently saw Sajeel A's review of the Indian pizzas recently and really wanted to try a chicken tikka pizza. Sadly, it had scads of jalapenos on it and really spicy stuff gives me a migraine. I had two slices and donated it to the scrappy vultures in my office. I would've loved the pizza to have a masala sauce but I know that's not what the description says, then again the description doesn't mention jalapenos so...I digress. * Someone stole my LV wallet, I got a notification saying that the person used my HSA card there. I called the restaurant to see if I could get more information before going they told me to come. I arrived they showed me the video, sent it to my phone, and told me the guy comes all the time with his kids. I mentioned to them I was getting the police involved they said it was fine. Later that week the police contacted the owner following up on my report and he said he had no information in regards to the thief who used my card. Mind you he already sent me the video and told me he comes alll the time and that pursuing him would not be necessary because he knew the guy enough to just ask him. I declined that's offer However, the police wanted the thief's name and transaction since the Owner said he had it; but somehow it" got deleted" within those amount of days. Unfortunately, I never received anything back. All I have is the video with the guy who stole it at their register and the police report. Stuff like this makes you wish you could've handled it yourself the old fashion way because they handled that so shady to me. Got about 40 large Indian style pizzas delivered from this store today for our office party in waves as required. The owner was very accommodating and flexible with varied delivery requests. Flawless execution of orders and the pizza was a hit!! The "Indian style pizza" was... Chicken tikka pizza Paneer tikka pizza Butter chicken pizza... surprisingly this is happening to me. This place was considered one of my favorites go to places downtown until i had a recent bad experience and it ruined being and eating there forever. the cashier was yelling with derogatory language towards the cook, and he looked very unapproachable. I ordered specifically a spicy 15 pc wings and even showed him a picture that they had promoted in the store, so I know he would know what I want. the man took my order and i paid for my food and waited. 30 minutes later the wings are done and as i opened the box i noticed i saw the wings were not cooked fully through and the skin on the chicken was gummy soft not crispy buffalo wings. as if the chicken was fried before, and they froze it, to defrosted it to refry again. The bottle of my food tray had water at the bottom and I know that's uncommon for buffalo wings, so i asked the man if he could just fry them longer or exchange it for something else for the same price and and he told me sorry he cant do that, i said well i would love to enjoy this but the texture of the food is off, if I cant exchange it then please let me have my money back, and he said no that cant happen, i noticed he was getting flustered with the commotion in the back and all around was giving bad customer service. i asked for a higher up like a manager he said that not here and that's hes on vacation, well i feel bad for you buddy because im arriving there Monday because that man was very rude and disregards customers service, he also mentioned how he only gets paid 9 dollars an hour so thats why i cant get my money back, like huh why would i need to know that ? and why put your personal problems on me because my order was poor and wished to swap or a refund and you cant accommodate with your local customers. all i know is i am very disappointed and i will not be coming back. read more

This is what Hartford downtown needed. A reasonably priced place for lunch. There were tables and seats like a regular restaurant. What caught my attention in the menu was the chicken tikka pizza and paneer tikka pizza. Tikka is an Indian dish. I went for the chicken tikka pizza. I loved it. It had a ton of ginger in it, plus the pepper was kind of hot. Towards the end, I could feel the heat in my lips. If you are not used to eating spicy food skip this, otherwise you will enjoy it. Crab cake was good as well. I found the items in the menu were relatively cheaper than other places, which is a big plus. read more

The service here is impeccable, the cashier with the purple hair (sorry don't know her name) is awesome. She has a lot on her plate (taking care of tables, bar and cashier) but she gets it done. I decided on a slice of buffalo chicken pizza and curly fries. The cashier is really careless. I waited 20 minutes for the cashier to ask me again what I ordered. So I ordered a small pizza late this morning, just after 11am, the grub hub app thru Yelp said I won't get it until 12:10-12:30, so 1:08pm rolls around (after the app told me that it was running late and told me to call their help desk. It was relayed to me at 12:40 that the delivery guy was going to be there in 15 minutes) and finally a car stops in front of my house. I get a call, the delivery guy says that he's here, the instructions in Yelp/Grubhub said "contactless" delivery, the guy is sitting there in his car looking over through his passenger window and he makes me go out and meet him at the curb. Please understand, after waiting all that time I was not happy with that delivery, but hey life goes on. So I go back inside to enjoy my pizza for lunch. The pizza was okay, I ordered a small meatball with extra cheese (Spicoli special), it tasted a bit on the too salty side. But it was edible. Back to my delivery issue, I read on the Grubhub website for the place that the place opens at 11am each day (for delivery), I'm not really sure why it took so long to process my order, if the hours have changed and Grubhub wasn't made aware of it than shame on the restaurant. Pizza is alright but if you don't like shitting 8 times in the morning when you wake up until noon, then don't order from here. Also, I called and placed an order for a coupon that is on the paper menu I got from the place, it said "1 Large cheese pizza, 8 wings and 2Liter soda" I asked the guy, since I don't like if I can substitute the 2Liter for a pizza topping instead, the guys answer was "No no no sorry I cannot do that, the coupon is for what the coupon says" mind you, this is the owner I am speaking with. I then say, "fuck it" and place the order anyway. I go and pick it up and when I go to pick my 2Liter out the fridge, all they had were flavors I do not like or drink at all, but they did have the ones I liked in the 20 Oz. bottles , so I asked the owner if I can get a 20 Oz. Instead of picking from one of the flavors I don't like for my 2Liter, he tells me "No you cannot do that sorry because you must get a 2Liter only". I looked at him like he was retarded..took my pizza and nasty ass wings and left. Never again. The wings are nasty as hell too. Our experience started with asking for a menu and went downhill from there. There was only one person working the counter for take-out orders and in-house orders. We ordered a variety of things from the menu: wings, a sub, as well as a pizza. All of them were sub-par; the wings had no seasoning beyond the sauce (as shown), the pizza could only be described as watery (none of the flavors were strong enough to take effect), the "cheese" fries came out without cheese and returned with 70% melted Velveeta on top. The sub ordered was a steak and cheese; steak was dry, one slice of cheese on top, and the vegetables added were warm but raw and crunchy. Throughout our dining experience, the employee only communicated by yelling across the restaurant in two languages without knowing who exactly the information was meant for. Napkins are only available upon request at the end of your meal. Would not recommend. It was cheap and quick but there aren't any other redeeming qualities. Twas not dank. read more
