As expected, I knew Ramsay's Kitchen would charge high prices and to be honest, before dining here, I just wanted to check it out because it was a celebrity chef's restaurant and I wanted to witness what the hype was about... My fiancé made a reservation to dine as soon as we landed in Vegas, but since our flight arrived a little later, the staff was very accommodating in seating us right away. The place was beautiful and we were seated close enough to the kitchen where we can see a little action which we enjoyed. We ordered the famous beef Wellington we all hear about & it was cooked to perfection. Just as delicious as we hope for. We also ordered the roasted chicken breast which was so juicy and so full of flavor. For dessert we had the sticky toffee which was such a great treat. Wife and I decided to try this place out as a nice alternative to Hell's Kitchen. Many of the same dining options, and a bit more availability for an early dinner. You're definitely paying for the Ramsay branding and signature dishes, but you might be okay if you go in knowing that. The first question you'll be presented with (other than whether you're really going to spend $23 on a drink) is whether or not to just take the guess work out of it and choose the Pre Fix menu. Unless you absolutely have to have the Beef Wellington - I might suggest skip it and load up on appetizers instead. Since I wanted to remind myself why Ramsay is so well known for the Wellington, I ended up going with that, although my wife went with an appetizer, soup, and entree of her own choosing. The five courses of the Pre fixe menu are salmon crudite, crab cake, risotto, Wellington (I believe a half portion but could be wrong), and sticky toffee cake for dessert. My wife instead did the Beef Carpaccio, French onion soup, and crispy skin salmon. Oh and a side of Maitake mushrooms, because I always have much room, for mushrooms, LOL. Okay, maybe that last one was really for me but y'know - we share food. So as not to bury the lead, I think it's safe to say the highlights for both of us were in the appetizers. I think we were both a little underwhelmed wtih the mains. And the Sticky Toffee cake was also very good. Maitake mushroom side item was fantastic - it had an almost meaty consistency and tasted wonderfully buttery. The crab cake was surprisingly good - as a former Marylander who has lost track of the number of offensively bad "Maryland-style" crab cakes I've had in the past. Beef carpaccio was fantastic - my wife remarked she could have made a meal out of just that and I agree. Salmon crudite was just a couple bites but a nice starter to warm up the palate and appetite. Lastly, the drink I got (and got a second of) was the Boston's inferno. The maple syrup and bitters went well with the two types of whiskey in each drink and the smoke effect is always fun. Lastly, service was solid. We had a separate server for drinks and she tagged out well with the main server. Ambiance was a little plain but seeing the open kitchen was fun. This was an outstanding experience. From the time we sat down to the time that we got up to leave, the service was excellent and the food was even better. I ate with a group of three and I was pleased to hear that the tasting menu could be done for one person at the table, versus the whole table having to order it together. I decided to go with that to try a couple of the staples, including the beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. Sometimes I'm a little skeptical of celebrity restaurants as the food does not always deliver, but starting with the first course, I was impressed by the food. The crab cake was full of crab meat, fried to perfection, and accompanied by a nice small salad and herbed aïoli. I wanted to try the risotto, so I was glad that there was a small portion as part of the tasting menu. It was al dente with butternut squash pieces, and a sage brown butter for a little sweetness. The beef wellington was fantastic. The pastry was nice and flaky on the outside and the beef was cooked perfectly. My favorite course, though was the sticky toffee pudding. I didn't know that I needed that in my life! I hadn't had crème fraîche ice cream before, but that was the perfect mildly sweet flavor of ice cream to go with the very indulgent and dense cake. I was honestly getting full after the risotto, but I was able to get through the tasting menu, and I tried the onion soup with the oxtail baguette. That was a very creative take on French onion soup, and the taste was just as good as the presentation. Open for almost a year, Ramsay's Kitchen is a place I would recommend. Disappointing Experience at Ramsay's Kitchen Our visit to Ramsay's Kitchen was a disappointment from start to finish. We waited a long time just to be greeted by our server, and the whole interaction felt awkward and uncomfortable. After our food arrived, we were charged for an Arnold Palmer we never received. Then, after paying, the server ran after us to say he had charged us for someone else's order. We had to wait a long time near the entrance while he corrected the bill--an embarrassing and frustrating ordeal. To top it all off, once I returned to the hotel, I got seriously sick and ended up vomiting the entire meal. Clearly, something was off. This was not the kind of experience you'd expect from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Do not recommend. Also the beef Wellington was hard to saw through when I was helping my son eat his meal and the salmon was so spicy that I think that's what made me sick Not worth 500+ dollars I have enjoyed a better meal at our local steak house in Texas! Our tables were pretty far apart since we were at booth seating so that was unfortunate. Jumbo lump crab cake (5/5): This was pretty good. It was the right amount of crab and creamy. I don't know which restaurant most of these reviewers went to, but it wasn't Ramsay's Kitchen at Harrah's Las Vegas, where I went a few Friday nights ago. The restaurant was half full and yet, seating was slow as was the service - brutally slow. They had to have been understaffed because there was no reason for such lackluster service in a half-full establishment. The staff were charming and hustled, so it must have been an understaffed kitchen and bar. I am a huge GR fan, and this was my first GR experience, having flown in from New Jersey that day. Knowing the attention to detail Gordon gives to scallops, I ordered those. The others with me ordered the Beef Wellington 3-course dinner. Starting with the Caesar Salad. Now, you are in Harrah's/Caesar's, so one might think the Caesar salad should be extraordinary, although the salad was invented at Caesar's Place, which is not related, still.... Unfortunately, Gordon followed Julia instead of the originator, Caesar Cardini, in omitting anchovies from the recipe - or at least I did not taste the anchovies. This is unfortunate because it is probably the only recipe where Julia's version of a dish is just plain wrong. To add insult to injury, the Caesar dressing also lacked a coddled egg and instead was served with a soft-boiled egg on the side. Whose idea was that? Fire him. Overall, the dressing was bland and watery. A novice chef could make a better Caesar's. We ordered a side dish of broccolini. That was adequate. Reminded me of broccolini from a New Jersey diner. The scallops, however, didn't even live up to that rating. Scallops should be light, succulent, and delightful. Mine were anything but. They were served with pork bellies (I can't make this stuff up!) and seemed to have been cooked in pork belly fat. They were overcooked and salty, but the worst crime was cooking them in pork belly fat. The taste was heavy and disgusting. Scallops wrapped in bacon work if done correctly; scallops cooked in pork belly fat do NOT. The fat gave the scallops a rancid flavor. I am 67 years old and have lived in NJ and Boston. These were the worst scallops I have ever eaten, and at about $15 per scallop - well, if I weren't with friends and family, I would have flipped. For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was absolutely incredible. This is not something I would typically order, but it came with my friend's dinner, so I tried it. Amazing. I could not stop eating it. If you go to this restaurant, order the pudding and a cup of coffee, nothing else. My colleagues did say the Beef Wellington was okay. The restaurant is beautiful, although it's located inside Harrah's so you do have to venture into the actual casino. We don't eat beef therefore no beef Wellington. Crab cake for starter was tasty and worth getting again. The scallops & chicken were good, but not spectacular (especially in comparison to HK). Had the sticky toffee pudding which was of course delicious and a bit different than the HK version with toffee sauce. I prefer HK to Ramsay's Kitchen, however worth trying. Had a great dining experience at Ramsay's Kitchen in Las Vegas. Here is a breakdown of the food we ordered: -Roasted Grape Flatbread: This was an incredible starter with a lot of unique elements that went so well together. The flatbread had roasted grapes, pork belly, brussels sprouts, gorgonzola, and balsamic glaze. I could have devoured two of these flatbreads! -Filet Mignon: This was the main dish and it was a very tender deliciously seasoned piece of meat. The portion appears to be pretty tiny but the cut is very thick and filling. The meat was cooked to perfection. -Butternut Squash Risotto: The risotto was spot on and really highlighted the butternut squash flavor. The dish was creamy and rich and was a plenty big portion for a main course. -Mac n Cheese: As a side we got the mac n cheese which was one of the better mac n cheeses I've had. You could tell the high quality cheese present in the dish. -Sticky Toffee Pudding: If you have any room left, do yourself a favor and order a sticky toffee pudding. It is the best way to finish off your meal, so good. It's not wonder why this is one of Chef Ramsay's signature dishes. We were sat towards the casino area and smelling cigarettes while eating was a buzzkill. Onion soup with oxtail bread was super tasty! Oysters were briny and fresh! Overall rating: 4.2 stars This was my first time at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and I was super excited to try it. This particular restaurant is relatively new. It opened last November and is his 6th eatery in Las Vegas. We came here to celebrate an anniversary and it did not disappoint. I made a reservation online for a Sunday night at 5pm before our Magic Show at 7:30pm. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, I still recommend making a reservation because Vegas is very event-driven and some weekends can get crazy busy. The service was exceptional! Our waiter, Greg delivered exceptional service. He was attentive without being pushy. The other two servers were also very friendly and helpful. I decided to get the 5-Course Tasting Menu for $119.95 per person. It came with salmon crudo, jumbo lump crab cake, butternut squash risotto, beef wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. The salmon crudo was under-whelming as a starter. My favorites were the jumbo lump crab cake. It didn't taste fishy and had generous portions of real crab meats. I also enjoyed the butternut squash risotto. It was creamy, buttery, slightly sweet, and the pine nuts gave the entire dish a nice crunch. Now, onto the signature beef wellington. The gravy that came with the beef wellington was overly salty for me. The beef tasted dry with the puff pastry and the meat quality was subpar. This dish was disappointing. However, the signature sticky toffee pudding was a HIT! It was absolutely divine. The best way I can describe it is..what you get when chocolate lava cake marries bread pudding...you get sticky toffee pudding! An enhanced and elevated delicious dessert love child from popular dessert parents! It was absolute dessert bliss and yumminess. My partner got the 24 oz. rib-eye steak. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The meat was of good quality. He also got the French onion soup. It was also divine. The creamy mashed potatoes were perfect too. We had dinner reservations with a few businesses partners who were in town for an industry event. We arrived and were promptly seated. Our waiter was very friendly and informed us about the chefs specials as well as their 3 and 5 course dinner samplers, we ordered a few drink from the bar and started looking over the menu. Everyone in our party ended up going for the 3 course dinner sampler. Both the food and drinks were served promptly and all our plates arrived within a few minutes of each other. The beef Wellington was by far the star of the show but the roasted chicken was a very close second, not sure what they do to it but it was some of the juiciest most tender chicken I've ever had. We also tried the salmon crudo with wasabi sauce which by definition was a bit spicy but in a very good and flavorful way. The sides were very well paired to the main dishes and the attention to detail in, texture, taste and presentation was very prominent. Making a reservation online was super easy. Located on the strip inside Harrah's, it's walkable. Make sure to read the dress code, as long as you don't wear anything sleeveless, have an exposed midriff, or flip flops, you should be ok. We made an early dinner reservation for 4:45pm, so we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves at that time. Decor was warm- colors of brown, and sexy. We sat not far from the kitchen and near a large clear glass display of various wines. Our servers Maria and Remy were excellent! I had a great experience here. The place is relatively new. I ordered the limited time tasting menu with wine pairing, and I was not disappointed. The wines are all paired well with their respective courses. I especially liked the Groth cab and the tawny port, but i prefer red wine. Each course was well executed and the service was generally very good. The salmon crudo in a citrus sauce, with little bits of fried garlic, was delicate and lovely. The crab cake was full of chunks of crab, and not a ton of filler. It was literally the best crab cake i've ever tasted. The butternut squash risotto was not overpowering, creamy and well-balanced. The Beef Wellington was very well prepared. I just don't think I love this dish. But the creamy potato purée was wonderful. There is nothing wrong with the dish. It's just not my thing. The sticky toffee dessert was tasty and quite rich. The service was quick and the servers were pleasant. There was one guy who described the courses he served and i couldn't understand a word. He was nice. I just didn't understand him and i didn't want to be rude. The space is lovely too. It's modern, but warm. I really liked it. The only issue that made this less than perfect was many of the other diners. There were obnoxiously loud drunk people, shrill and loud people who don't realize how shrill and loud they were, and many people who acted and dressed like they were going to McDonalds. The trailer park looking guy with the backwards baseball hat who sported his big can of Bud as he entered was a good example. Not the normal crowd and behavior I associate with fine dining. Getting a great meal at any one of Gordon Ramsay's fine dining restaurants happens so often that it is practically a guarantee. If you want to experience Gordon Ramsay's cooking in a nice but lower key space, come here. It feels like fine dining but more affordable and a business casual dress code. The Beef Wellington was superb...I got the petite, which was the perfect size. It was meaty, rich and tender. The potato puree was the best mashed potatoes I've had. Even the carrots were delicious. Wanted to try the sticky toffee pudding and saw it was part of a three course special with a petite Wellington and salad. Made a reservation online before a concert so planning for lots of extra time but it wasn't busy at all and I was in and out in an hour (even eating very slowly). I used OpenTable to reserve bar seating for 2 at Ramsay's Kitchen located in Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 7:15 pm. OpenTable was easy to use and there were many availabilities. When we arrived at Ramsay's Kitchen, the hostess located my reservation and asked if instead we wanted a table. We said sure and were seated right in front of the kitchen. The dining room was elegant and inviting. I was able to see buckets of seafood at the raw bar. I opted for the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings for all courses. This was $139.95 and an additional $69.95 for the wine pairing. I started with the salmon crudo with yuzu-wasabi soy sauce and garlic chips paired with Michele Chiarlo Moscato d'Asti, Italy. The salmon was fresh and I do love a good Moscato d'Asti. The first course was a jumbo lump crab cake with citrus herb aïoli and mixed green salad paired with Peju Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley. The second course was a green pea risotto with roasted peas, mint, mascarpone, parmesan and lemon oil paired with Jordan Chardonnay, Russian River Valley. The third course is Gordon Ramsey's petite beef wellington with potato purée, glazed baby root vegetables, red wine demi‑glace, served medium rare paired with Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley. Lastly, dessert was sticky toffee pudding with english toffee sauce, crème fraîche ice cream paired with Sandeman Old Tawny Porto 20YR, Portugal. The food was delicious and rich. All the wine pairings with the food were excellent. You will be full with a happy stomach and talking about the food for days to come. The 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings is definitely worth it. I shared some of my tastings with my husband. He also had the Behind Blue Eyes cocktail which had absolut elyx vodka, blueberry purée, and limoncello and the pan seared scallops which had orange glazed pork belly, fennel & apple salad, and chicken jus. He enjoyed his dish and drink very much. The scallops were very juicy and flavorful. This was our most expensive meal in Las Vegas and maybe our life, but it was such a wonderful experience. Sue was our server and was very pleasant. She didn't rush us at all and made sure I was good with her bringing the wine and the next course. Also, they gave me a tasting menu as a souvenir.
